Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 0

"So this is how I'll die." A young man lay limp in a pool of his blood on the road—he had been run over by a speeding car that didn't pay attention to the speed limit. Timi had just arrived from his hectic work schedule at five pm. All he wanted was to get home, take a warm shower, and rest. That was his routine: work, work, work, for eight hours a day, seven days a week. Every day it made him rethink his life—was this why he went to college? To be a slave. Not that he had a choice. That was society's norm, and he had followed the norms: go to college, graduate, work, settle down. But now he was dying—that was far from reach. Tears rolled down his face. A flower vase was shattered beside him, the warmth of his body gone, leaving only cold. Being a botanist was something Timi loved, but he wished he had done something with his life, out of the norms, something impactful that would leave a legacy behind and give him different experiences. The screams of people around him faded slowly, but none came close—they only stood afar, some dialing the ambulance. His chances of surviving before the ambulance arrived were very slim. As his consciousness faded, darkness crept in, consuming his vision, and in that moment, he wished for something. A second chance. A desperate wish to live a new life.
