Ch1 . The first lie
John was always a quiet boy, living in a small city where everyone knew each other. On the outside, he seemed friendly and polite, but inside, he carried a secret habit—he could never tell the truth.
It started with small lies. One day, he told his teacher that he had completed his homework, even though he hadn't. The teacher smiled and praised him, and John felt a strange thrill. It was not the praise that excited him, but the power of deceiving someone so easily.
That evening, his mother asked, "Did you finish your homework?"
"Yes, Mom, I finished it," he replied, hiding the notebook behind his back.
For the first time, John realized something—lying could give him control. But little did he know, every lie planted a seed that would grow into bigger problems, and soon, the world around him would not be as simple as it seeme.
