Chapter 1 - Prologue

The Solis Kingdom has forged its path to prosperity and walks with a firm step towards a greater destiny, soon named empire. At the heart of this prosperous land is the heart that has led it to be the empire; the Aethelgard Institute, the sanctuary of dark marble, with refined glass, where within those walls science and lineage merge into one. That place, a sanctuary for many, becomes a chaos of emotions, never expected realities, beliefs and own prosperity, they grow and prosper in the secrets of the walls, defying the lodge, reason itself and the laws of the empire.

However, the cause of this chaos was Aethelgard's most transcendental experiment, it was not developed with chemistry laboratories, nor observatories, nor in-depth investigations. This experiment took place in absolute silence, among crumpled papers, handwritten letters with ink stains, and aromas of sprayed perfumes. Those responsible for this chaos are the children of the four pillars of the empire.

Picture men of devastating powers, absolute beauty, their level of power could destabilize the crown itself; Alister Valerius the astronomer with the mordant lodge; Maximilian Thorne the indomitable genius of House Thorne and the second sword master; Sebastian Calloway, the creator and designer of the empire's new inventions, mathematical precisions that scare you; and finally Julian Sterling, the tireless researcher of ancient secrets, among dust, inks and feathers contains the closed passion.

United by the tragedy of one of them, they have decided to give their lives in the Aethel-001 Project/ Epistol Methods; The research that will change everyone's world, an academic-based research with the sole objective of knowing the true chemistry of affection through a designated epistolary romance. Audacious objective, which begins with a methodical exchange of letters, working on emotions and analyzing each one of them; But soon this transforms into a case of passion and uncontrollable desire, threatening to break beyond each person, melting the rigid norms such as the structure of their own homes and those of the kingdom itself.

As the words become bolder, the feelings become real and dangerous, the four dukes will discover that the greatest challenge is not the science itself, but the raw surveillance that begins to present itself; Between the corridors of the academy, there were walls that spoke louder than they should, and maintained beyond what one should know, the desire to overthrow the dukes, take power, decorate their own emotions put into play all the experiments and the very relationships of the young people, with this they must begin to make more complex decisions that can lead to the fall of the kingdom or theirs.
