Chapter 36 - Chapter 36 : New System

With a single sword stroke, Noah severed the neck of the ogre whose leg he had just cut off, causing the massive body to instantly disintegrate.

Looking at the remaining monsters, a slight smile crept onto Noah's lips.

Because next, he was going to experiment with something quite interesting.

His magic slots were empty, but if he utilized the Spell-Weaver properly, even something like this could be achieved...

"Enchant Magic: Flame."

As he manipulated the fire element, flames appeared out of thin air around him and beneath his feet, dancing around him like fiery feathers.

Though beautiful, the effect didn't meet his expectations.

Noah frowned slightly and muttered, "Even with flame attribute enhancement, it's only this much? It seems my stats are still too low."

The Spell-Weaver was a special skill.

Although using skills was different from using magic and didn't consume mind, the power was still closely related to magical power.

Since reaching level 2, he had been focused on crafting equipment and hadn't done anything that might increase his stats, nor had he updated his status.

'Might as well give it a try.'

Noah targeted one of the ogres, leaned forward slightly, and concentrated power in his left foot.

Then, explosive flames appeared beneath his feet and he transformed into a red lightning bolt, instantly charging to the front of the ogre.

No....he didn't stop at all.

Wrapped entirely in flames, he aimed his blade at the huge monster and pierced through its body like an arrow!

Noah came to a stop behind the ogre, his face filled with astonishment.

Behind him, the massive ogre now had a hole in its abdomen large enough for a carriage to pass through.

The area around the wound was completely carbonized, so it wouldn't bleed or anything.

BOOM!

The monster exploded.

As the one who had personally killed it, Noah was shocked by the power he had displayed and conducted an appraisal of his current state.

Enchant Magic (Flame Attribute) : Flame Attribute Enhancement, All Attributes Boost Gravity Interference (Weight Reduction) Wind Attribute Interference (Movement Speed Increase).

These temporary rather than permanent effects made Noah unconsciously think of buffs!

That's right, the key was buffs.

If he had merely leveled up to 2, there wouldn't be such a dramatic difference.

But with buffs, it was different - full buffs, triple the strength.

Of course, this was gaming terminology, so-called buffs referred to beneficial status effects that could temporarily enhance an individual.

Enchantment magic was a powerful form of buff.

Half of the buffs on him now came from the Spell-Weaver, while the rest came from the magic sword Crimson Guardian.

Overall, his current ability should be equivalent to an upper-tier level 2 adventurer.

With the magic sword added, he could even pose a threat to level 4 enemies.

In Orario - no, it should be said that all adventurers in this world were roughly divided into vanguards, midfielders, rearguards, and non-combat personnel.

Among them, vanguards stood at the front, charging forward to restrain monsters - like Ais.

Midfielders needed to ensure the backline wasn't threatened while providing some support to vanguards - like Alicia.

Since her magic was short-chant magic requiring very little incantation time, combined with her proficiency in close-quarters sword techniques and archery skills, she was quite an all-rounder as a midfielder.

Then there were rearguards, usually filled by mages.

Since mages typically had weak close-combat abilities and chanting magic required time, they were generally protected by midfielders and other non-mage rearguards, serving as the team's main firepower source.

Non-combat personnel were easy to understand - supporters.

Though called non-combat personnel, in lower or even deeper regions, supporters needed at least level 4 second-tier adventurer strength to qualify, otherwise they couldn't even keep up with the main party's movements.

In this world, regardless of positioning and division of labor, what everyone ultimately had to do was still damage output.

The premise of vanguards being able to restrain monsters was that they could threaten the monsters.

They were warriors, but not shield-bearers, not tanks.

The warrior-mage-priest iron triangle operational model couldn't be realized in this real world.

First of all, could skills that attracted monster aggro and made monsters attack only oneself - such "taunt" skills - exist in reality?

As far as Noah knew, he wasn't aware of anyone possessing such skills.

Moreover, in real combat, it was impossible for one person to bear all the monster's attacks alone.

Instead, they coordinated to divert the monster's attention, thereby reducing the burden on their companions.

Even thick-skinned dwarves and frenzied Amazons couldn't withstand all of a monster's attacks alone - they would just be smashed to pieces.

Tanks didn't work, mages worked - so what about new forms born from the warrior-mage-priest iron triangle?

That's right - the support type!

Not only could they heal teammates, but they could also provide protection and evasion in dangerous situations, offer attack power enhancement, attribute enhancement, speed enhancement, critical hits, accuracy and other beneficial status effects during offense.

One person's presence alone could strengthen the entire team's combined combat power.

Wanting one person to handle all these things was, no matter what, quite impossible.

After all, mortals had limited magic slot capacity, and the same went for skills - naturally, they couldn't achieve such comprehensive support.

Even just one of these aspects would be enough to become a rare skill that sparked discussion throughout Orario.

Rather, skills themselves were already rare enough - aside from adventurers who could be named, eighty percent of adventurers in Orario didn't have even one skill, and magic was even rarer.

The reason why one of Orario's three cheaters, Airmid Teasanare, was called a cheater was because of her exclusive magic "Dia Fratel."

This magic was an ultra-high-level healing magic that simultaneously possessed the characteristics of healing wounds, restoring stamina, removing toxins, and dispelling curses.

It could separately apply the three effects of healing, detoxification, and curse removal, making it very flexible.

It could even affect multiple people and produce sustained effects!

Hence came the name 'Dea Saint'- as long as she was in a team, the battle line would absolutely not collapse.

And now, the system Noah envisioned was even beyond that!

As long as he could fully utilize the Spell-Weaver's effects, this concept had great feasibility.
