Chapter 46 - Chapter 45 : Sweet picnic date.

Third person point of view

The next day, Oliver's wish was finally fulfilled. There was a park near a lake which was a little over an hour away from their place. He wanted to go there for a picnic. He already baked a few things for it. After freshening up, they also cooked some food for lunch and packed it. Oliver even bought a basket which would fit all these things.

He carefully arranged them all. He went up to their room and walked to the wardrobe. He saw Christian in blue jeans and buttoning up a light yellow shirt. Oliver also picked out a similar shade t-shirt and loose jeans. Christian sat in the living room waiting for Oliver to get ready. Oliver finished and went down.

Christian brought the basket and they walked out together. Christian put the basket carefully in the backseat. " Do you think we should put on the seatbelt ? " Christian smiled. " I will drive steadily. It won't fall off ". " Alright ". They got in the front seats and drove away. Oliver looked around as they drove.

Christian held his hand. " Is your headache fine now ? " Oliver nodded. " The tea you made helped a lot ". " That's good then ". " Isn't there anything for sobering up ? Like something to have after drinking ? " " There is. I will make it for you next time ". " You want me to get drunk ? " Oliver narrowed his eyes.

Christian chuckled. " Maybe. You would probably be cuter ". " Tsk. Nothing like that ". Christian laughed lightly. It took them around one and a half hours to reach because of the traffic. They parked the car and walked towards the gate. Christian held the basket in one hand and Oliver's hand in another.

" Where shall we sit ? " " Let's walk more to the inside with more trees ". Oliver pointed in the direction and they slowly made their way there. There was shade under the trees with little sunlight peeking from between the leaves. Oliver picked a spot under the big tree. The sun was not as harsh because of the rains and even in the afternoon it was not hot like in the summer.

They laid out the mat and then a blanket on top of it. They put their shoes aside and sat down. Oliver took out the things he got and they had their lunch. There was a lake not so far away and the breeze was also cool. There was a pleasant smell in the air. After having lunch, they cuddled under the shade to rest.

Oliver brought a book which he read together with Christian. Oliver moved down and slept on Christian's lap. He felt rather content. Christian smiled and ran his fingers through Oliver's hair. Oliver closed his eyes and took a nap. Christian sat still and read the book. Oliver woke up after a while.

He yawned and looked up at Christian. " It should be a crime to look good in even such an angle ". Christian looked down, not knowing what Oliver was talking about. Oliver sat up and gave a blank face. " I was looking at you from such a weird angle and you still looked handsome ". Christian understood and laughed.

" I am blessed ". Both of them laughed. Oliver took out the cupcakes he made and they had it together. He also made some macaroni. He put one in his mouth and looked around. He saw a family sitting under a tree. The kids were running around the parents. Oliver smiled and looked away.

He picked up a cupcake and looked into the distance. He saw a girl looking at him. He raised an eyebrow. He looked at the cake in his hand and showed it to the kid. The kid smiled and went up to him to take it. Oliver smiled and gave it to her. The girl's mother came up to them. " I am sorry ". Oliver smiled.

" It is fine. Would you like some ? You can have it with your family ". He quickly put some macaroni and three more cupcakes in a box. " Is that fine ? " " It is fine. We two cannot even eat all these. Please take them ". " Thank you so much ". " Thank you uncle ". Oliver laughed. " You're welcome ".

The girl waved at him and he waved back. Christian smiled. Oliver turned to him. " Let's go ? " Christian nodded. They got up and dusted the mat and blanket. They put everything back in the basket and walked around the park. They went to the lake and Oliver even fed the ducks. The sun was already setting.

Christian looked up the restaurants nearby. He chose one and they went there for dinner. And their last destination for the day was an open theater. It was half way through the route to their home. They were also the last ones to go there. The movie was already playing and they were the only ones at the very back.

Christian put the basket in the trunk and got in the backseat. Oliver did not want to get out. He just pushed his seat back and directly moved from the middle. Christian helped him and pulled him onto his lap. Oliver held his face and kissed him. The four windows were already blocked leaving only the front open.

There were no other lights around. The light from the large screen in the very front was seeping through and no one will be able to see anything unless they stand in front of the car at a close distance. Oliver's breathing turned rough as they continued to kiss. He couldn't care any less about the movie.

Christian bit Oliver's lip lightly before pulling away. Oliver curled up in his arms and hugged Christian. Christian hugged him back, burying his face in his neck. He left small kisses. Oliver let out a gasp. " Ian~ " Christian pulled away and his heart thumped harder when he saw Oliver's blushing face.

Oliver pecked Christian's lips. " I love you ". " I love you too. Thank you for coming into my life ". Oliver smiled. " Well... I heard from Jacob that you don't really go on blind dates. So thank you for coming that day ". Both of them laughed and shared a sweet kiss. Oliver cuddled with Christian to finally watch the movie. He finally went on the date he wanted.
