Chapter 147 - Chapter 147: The Fantastic Four

"Is the Hammer God back on Earth again?"

Watching the thunder and lightning over there, Artoria was curious if Thor had returned to Earth. Was he missing that'Sorrow-Inducing Extra Spicy Mapo Tofu' again? For the sake of the friendship between Asgard and Earth, should she send over a few tons so Thor could feel the passion of Earthlings? However, upon closer observation, the lightning didn't seem to be coming from the sky, but rather spreading outward from the ground. It seemed it wasn't the Thor in the Period-red Cape who had arrived.

"Isn't that where Susan used to work? What happened?"

While Artoria was puzzled, Saturday pulled up the video of the vicinity. The footage was normal until the appearance of one person caused a bad connection, with static constantly flickering. Although the image wasn't very clear, Artoria still recognized who it was: Victor Von Doom. This man, who had been missing for a long time, had reappeared. Through the footage from over a dozen cameras provided by Saturday, Artoria learned that after this guy appeared, he contacted Ben, who had already turned into a Stone Man, and then disappeared from the video.

Ben disappeared as well. Seeing this, Artoria confirmed that the plot of the first 'Fantastic Four' movie had begun. The lightning just now was simply Victor using half of New York's power to turn Ben back into a normal person. Artoria wasn't affected because she used the energy from an Arc Reactor, which wasn't connected to the city's power grid, so she felt nothing.

"Doctor Doom has arrived! Well then! With the Invisible Woman gone, the Fantastic Four... oh! I should say the Fantastic Three. I wonder if they can defeat Doctor Doom now."

Thinking about the Fantastic Four whose member she had poached, Artoria felt quite strange. This act of NTRing others was simply too satisfying, especially since Susan had come here of her own accord. Being favored by a beauty felt quite good; no wonder at least eight out of every ten transmigration stories featured a Gary Stu.

"Susan, your brother might be in danger. Do you want to go help?"

Pushing aside her stray thoughts, Artoria called Susan into her office and spoke to her seriously. She knew Susan's family was involved. Although she didn't think much of that brat who looked ninety percent like Captain America, he was still Susan's relative, and Artoria had an obligation to tell Susan about his situation.

"That's impossible! I'll call him right now."

Like a normal person, Susan found it hard to believe. Although she could scold her brother as she pleased, they were still family sharing the same blood; she wouldn't sit idly by if something happened to Johnny. After hearing Artoria's words, Susan immediately took out her phone and dialed the brat's number. The result was clear; Susan's expression grew worse and worse. What Artoria said was true.

"What exactly is going on, Artoria?"

Putting her unreachable phone back in her pocket, Susan looked to Artoria for help. She didn't understand how a perfectly fine person could suddenly be in trouble. She didn't understand what had happened in the middle of it all, so she could only turn to Artoria for assistance.

"Listen carefully to what I say next. We don't have much time, so I'll only say it once. If you're late, we'll probably only be seeing Johnny Stone's corpse. Do you remember how many people we were when we went into Space, Susan?"

"Of course I remember. You, me, Johnny, Ben, Victor, and Reed. Six of us."

Artoria began to tell Susan the information she knew and asked her a question. However, Susan hadn't yet realized the significance of Artoria's question, so Artoria had to continue explaining.

"Now Reed, Ben, Johnny, you, and I have all gained abilities. Only one person is missing... oh no! Not missing, but hiding on purpose, concealing his power in the shadows and watching our movements."

"Are you talking about Victor Von Doom? That's impossible! I don't feel like he's that kind of person!"

Susan was very smart; under Artoria's deliberate guidance, she immediately understood who it was. Wasn't that the wealthy big boss? How could he do something so foolish? Even if his company went bankrupt, as long as he possessed abilities from Space, he could survive anywhere! Why do such a thing?

"Him? He's suffering from a bad case of Red-eye disease, always jealous of a certain poor kid's talent. Moreover, he might have misunderstood one thing—that the person he likes actually likes someone else."

With a look of amusement, Artoria walked up to Susan. While Susan was stunned in surprise, Artoria reached out her right hand and gently brushed aside Susan's blonde hair. Unlike Artoria's blonde hair, Susan's was a deeper shade, but it was very well-maintained, exceptionally soft, and felt like a piece of silk to the touch.

"Jealousy? What a ridiculous reason. Artoria, I'm going to save my brother. Please approve my early leave."

Such a reason seemed very ridiculous in Susan's eyes. Although Artoria's gesture made her heart skip a beat with joy, thinking of her disappointing brother, Susan hurried to ask Artoria for leave, wanting to use her newly acquired powers to save her family.

"Take the suits we wore when we went into Space and put one on. They underwent the same changes as we did due to the cosmic rays. Remember, if you can't win, call me."

Having approved Susan's early leave, Artoria remembered that Susan hadn't put on that tight suit and quickly told her. Susan turned back and indicated she understood. Artoria didn't really care if Susan listened; she would save her if she was in danger anyway. However, if she didn't wear that suit, she might end up providing fan service to others, and Artoria didn't have the habit of letting others see her friend's fan service.

"Doctor Doom is just the beginning; the real trouble comes after. The Silver Surfer is a villain, and that guy's strength is quite formidable. Uncle Devourer will probably come to Earth too, right? I wonder if the cute Devourer Girl has already been born?"

"Uncle Devourer is single-gender, so if he gave birth to a Devourer Girl, then he... is he Uncle Devourer or Aunt Devourer? Uh! I'm thinking too much."

After Susan left, Artoria thought about the upcoming supervillain. The focus wasn't on the villain but on the villain's cute daughter. This fellow foodie gave Artoria a slight sense of shared identity; perhaps this was the resonance between foodies! Artoria suddenly looked forward immensely to Uncle Devourer's arrival, or at least hoped to see Planet Devourer Girl Ganata.
