Chapter 229 - Chapter 229: The Inhumans Join the Battle

"Are you sure they are here to help?"

Nick looked very distressed at the people in front of him who looked very "peculiar". This group of people were not Mutants, but Mutants didn't have so many peculiar-looking guys either. Everyone was wearing a mask, and they didn't look like a group of good guys at all. Could such guys be trusted? Although they had just helped his side fight back Hydra, Nick was still full of distrust. He asked Natasha, who was beside him, as these were the people she had brought.

"These people were brought by Artoria. I heard they are the Inhumans from the Moon. Unlike Mutants, their powers are within a controllable range. It's just that they look a bit 'unsatisfactory', but they are willing to help us overcome this difficulty. They only hope to be able to move their city on the Moon back to Earth. Artoria said she has already found a location, so we don't need to worry too much about it."

To Nick's question, Natasha could only say this. When she first received Artoria's communication, she was taken aback. She hadn't expected Artoria to have such profound friendships with other races. Who would have thought! Artoria was actually hiding so deeply. While curious, she admired Artoria even more. Her heart was still kind; she had actually brought so many helpers. Then, the subsequent matters would be very favorable for defeating Hydra and restoring world Order.

"Hello, Earthlings. We are the Inhumans. We originally lived on Earth, but due to some special reasons, we moved our capital to the Moon. Now, seeing our friends on the ground being ravaged by evil forces, we have decided to return to Earth to help everyone."

At this moment, the guy covered in green scales, wearing a special breathing apparatus, walked up to Nick Fury. He spoke the lines given to him by Black Bolt and the Queen, trying his best to maintain his position as an assistant and not overstep his bounds. The Inhumans were merely there to assist people through this crisis and would not interfere in other matters. They would help wherever they could; this was a matter of great importance regarding the future, and there was no room for carelessness.

"Greetings, members of the Inhumans. I am the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury. Thank you all for your help. I believe that with your assistance, the world will soon get back on track."

Glancing at the other party's appearance, Nick, a man who had seen it all, did not show any disgust at the strange look of the individual—after all, this person was the most presentable one there. He walked up calmly, exchanged pleasantries, and shook hands. Nick had no choice; this was a time when they were in desperate need of power. Artoria had chosen the timing perfectly. She had also discussed the positioning of the Inhumans with Black Bolt and Medusa. As the saying goes, a man who flaunts his wealth invites theft. If the Inhumans displayed too much power, it would create problems, leading to jealousy and rejection. Therefore, Artoria had positioned them as support: they could help and repel enemies, but their primary focus was to rescue civilians. Even if you looked'strange,' if you could save people's lives, your image would be idealized in their hearts. Even if they didn't particularly like you, they wouldn't be as repulsed because of the debt of gratitude for saving their lives.

In this regard, Professor X of the Mutants had made a mistake. He blindly kept the X-Men hidden and kept the Mutants hidden instead of properly utilizing this power, which caused others to fear the power of Mutants. Furthermore, because of this concealment, people didn't understand them, and people react very intensely to the fear of the unknown. That was why the current situation had come to pass. Moreover, when Mutant abilities manifested, it was usually under extreme circumstances, such as losing control of their emotions, where they couldn't control their own power and ended up hurting people, which only deepened the prejudice against Mutants.

"Being able to utilize everyone's power to achieve your goals, you are already a qualified Queen, Miss Artoria."

In the sky, Artoria, Crystal, Black Bolt, and Medusa stood quietly in mid-air. Black Bolt had been observing the interaction between Nick and Triton, and it seemed they had reached a preliminary consensus. Seeing this result, Black Bolt nodded in satisfaction and expressed his admiration for Artoria's arrangements. With such mastery of managing people, Artoria could already be considered a ruler.

He asked himself honestly; he truly could not perform as Artoria did. Even if he thought of it, he would be indecisive because that was his nature. He admitted that he lacked the decisiveness of Artoria—to be able to mobilize one race to help another. Such a bold idea was truly admirable. Unfortunately, if he knew Artoria's attitude toward this matter, he wouldn't think so. Because, to Artoria, the outcome of this matter was actually indifferent. Whether S.H.I.E.L.D. won or lost, Artoria could just take those close to her and live in a remote, uninhabited place. If that didn't work, moving to an outer Planet was also an option.

"The path of a ruler might still be a long way off!"

Regarding Black Bolt's words, Artoria indicated that she couldn't accept the title of Queen yet. Her biggest flaw was laziness; she didn't want to shoulder too much responsibility. Once she became a Queen, she would have to be responsible for her people, which was why she didn't want to be a Queen and hadn't touched that excalibur to this day.

"Don't overthink it, Miss Artoria. The aura of a high-ranking individual you possess destines you to be a ruler. I can feel it. I Hope you don't get too caught up in overthinking."

Queen Medusa spoke on behalf of Black Bolt, and then the two of them vanished into the air. They still had many things to deal with, such as the location for relocating their capital. This had already been decided; the longer they delayed, the more disadvantageous it was for the Inhumans, and it was more likely that Kree spies might catch wind of something. Making a decision early and moving as soon as possible was the right thing to do. Although the Inhumans on the moon were somewhat unaccustomed to Earth's air, there was nothing that advanced technology couldn't solve.

"Crystal wants to go with big sister."

Although her brother and sister-in-law had left, the little girl Crystal happily came to Artoria's side and tugged at her hand. Artoria looked with some emotion at this "big loli" who was developing into a young girl. Looking closely, she realized that she had grown three centimeters taller since the last time she saw her. It really was true that girls change a lot as they grow up.

"You can, but only if you listen to me will I take you to play."

Artoria patted Crystal's little head, and while giving instructions, she flew with her toward the island. They were still on vacation, and Artoria wanted to take Crystal to the beach. With Artoria around, Crystal didn't need to worry about not being able to adapt to Earth's air; Artoria had plenty of ways to deal with such trivial matters.

"Damn it, what the hell is going on? Where did those monsters come from?"

Compared to the carefree Artoria, Pierce looked angrily at the video showing the 'monsters' rescuing suffering civilians and hostages. He hadn't expected anyone to pull such a stunt, nor did he know what faction this was, opposing him. Could it be Mutants? These guys who had been hiding were finally planning to step out and act as superheroes? Don't joke around; no one would keep the help of these 'freaks' in their hearts.

"Our soldiers and elite forces have suffered significant trauma. After confirmation, it's not just these guys; there is also a decapitation squad roaming around. Our people have suffered heavy losses. You must be held responsible for this, Pierce."

The Baron spoke to Pierce in a calm, indifferent tone, as if the losses were not his own soldiers. But Pierce, facing the Baron directly, broke out in a cold sweat. Was he being asked to take full responsibility for this? He was stifled by the Baron's aura and could barely breathe, but he had to fight for himself; otherwise, only Death awaited him. Hydra was crueler to its own than to outsiders; Pierce, who held a high position, understood this better than anyone, but he did not want to give up.

"Let's not pursue the matter of his responsibility for now. Right now, we must stop our losses. The plan has already failed by sixty percent at this stage. If the President has already been rescued, then our plan has completely failed. And you, Pierce, haven't even caught him yet. I think we can withdraw our elite forces from this battle, and we must be wary of a global counterattack, after all, we have been completely exposed."

Madam Hydra, holding green nail polish, was painting her nails. She looked even calmer than the Baron. The only person present who wasn't calm was likely Madame Gao. This time, she had pulled out eighty percent of The Hand to participate in this battle. They already had few people to begin with, so if they withdrew now, it would be a total loss.
