Chapter 33 - Let’s Keep Gambling!!!

The bunny girl said with surprise, "W-What!? Sir, you want to play more?"

Ren replied with a bright smile, "Yeah, I'm having fun."

He stood up casually and waved at the man behind him.

"Bye, big baby."

The man tried to respond — but no words came out.

Silence.

The dealer watched Ren leave and thought with a worried faint smile, That kid is a monster in these games. I can say that for sure from experience.

Ren wandered around the casino, hands in his pockets, eyes searching for suitable tables which can catch his interest. He noticed a table where people were playing dice.

Turning to the bunny girl who was quietly following him, he said with a grin:

"I want to play this."

Her smile tightened for a split second before returning.

"D-Dice game, sir? It's simple. You bet on numbers or combinations, then the dice are rolled. If your prediction is correct, you win."

She spoke politely.

What is this person…? He still wants to play? If he loses now, at least the casino won't lose too much…

She forced another smile.

"Yes, sir. It's very easy."

Ren sat down at the dice table, placing a few chips forward. "Let's start small."

The dealer nodded and shook the dice.

Clack—Clack—Clack

"Small wins." Chips slid toward Ren.

With no reaction. "Again."

Clack—Clack—Clack

"Big wins."

A few people started watching. Ren rested his chin on his hand. "…Again."

Win.Then another.And another.

The table slowly went quiet.

"He hasn't lost…"

"Shishou… please make me your student...shishou[1]"

"Is he some kind of gambling god…?"

Ren exhaled softly. "…So boring."

The bunny girl's smile stiffened. She subtly signaled the dealer. We can't let him keep winning like this…

The next shake felt different.

Ren noticed.

Of course he did.

The dealer smirked faintly. "Is that all? What happened, kid… afraid now?"

A pause.

Ren's lips slowly curved up, a hint of excitement in his eyes. "…Oh?"

He pushed all his chips forward in one motion. "All in."

The crowd gasped.

The bunny girl's eyes widened, then a hidden smile appeared. You can't win this… dice is pure luck but this time… your chances are none.

Beside him, a man chuckled. "Heh… looks like you're going home empty-handed, kid."

Ren just smiled. "Roll it."

Clack—Clack—Clack

The dice hit the table.

Silence surrounded everything until.

The lid lifted—

"…Win."

For a second, no one reacted at all but.

Then—

"WHAT THE FUCK—!?"

"T-That's impossible…!"

"He...he is indeed the gambling god....pray the gambling god for good luck"

Ren thought with a deadpan expression, what kind of cringe nonsense are they even talking about…

"How did he—!?"

The bunny girl froze, eyes wide in shock. The dealer and man beside him went pale, completely stunned.

Ren calmly pulled the mountain of chips toward himself, stacking them neatly.

"…That's it?"

He glanced around, clearly unimpressed.

The pile had already crossed 2000.

He stood up, stretching lightly. "…Still boring."

His eyes drifted across the casino—

With a slow grin he said."…That looks interesting too."

Ren stood up and walked toward the next table without looking back. "Carry that," he said casually, pointing at his pile of chips.

The bunny girl forced a smile. "Y-Yes sir…" WHAT!? He's still not done!?

---

The roulette wheel spun slowly under dim light.

Ren sat down like he owned the place. "…Roulette, huh, i know this."

He slid a few chips forward. "7."

Tick—Tick—Tick—Tick

"…7."

A small murmur.

Ren didn't react. "Again. 7."

Spin.

Tick—Tick—Tick—Tick

"…7."

The crowd leaned in.

"Twice…he isn't cheating is he?... how can he win consecutively like this!?"

"No way…"

"Is he some kind of gambling god…?"

"Morons...He is the Kamisama[2]…God of luck himself?"

"Shishou! Please teach me!"

"He's like Akagi[3]…"

"No… even Akagi wasn't this insane…"

"This guy… is a monster…"

"Is he the reincarnation of some gambling legend!?"

Ren rested his chin on his hand, deadpan. What kind of cringe nonsense are they even keep sprouting about…

"…Again."

"7."

Spin.

Tick—Tick—Tick—Tick

"…7."

whispers burst out.

"This isn't begginer's luck …"

"He's controlling it…Yes! i knew it, shishou was god himself...God of luck and gambling!"

Ren exhaled softly. "…Still boring."

The bunny girl's eyes shifted toward the dealer.

A small signal.

Do something.

The dealer understood.

Next spin—

Different.

Controlled.

Ren's eyes flickered.

A faint grin appeared. "…Oh?"

"7."

Tick—Tick—Tick—Tick

The ball slowed unnaturally—

Stopped.

"…7."

The dealer froze.

That was controlled… so why…did it stopped at 7 again...is that even possible!?

The bunny girl's fake smile cracked.

Even after cheating…?

A man whispered, "This is even beyond gambling god…"

Ren tapped the table lightly. "Again."

"7."

Spin.

Tick—Tick—Tick—Tick

The ball fought—

Stopped.

"…7."

"…Did you see that…? Tell me you saw that…"

"Why does it keep landing on 7… who even bets like that?"

"…Should I follow his bet?"

"Are you stupid? That's how you go broke."

"Still… 7 again is crazy…"

"Man, if he hits one more, I'm calling him master."

"Hey, he is my shishou."

"Forget master, I'm calling him father at this point."

The dealer's hand trembled now as sweat formed.

I'm controlling it… then why is he still winning…!?

Chips kept piling up.

Higher and higher.

Ren didn't even look at them.

Another spin.

"7."

Win.Again.Win.Again and Again.

The pile crossed 9000.

The entire table went silent.

Ren leaned back, stretching lightly.

"…That's it?"

He glanced at the crowd, then at the dealer.

"…What's with these reactions?"

Like he genuinely didn't get it.

Like this was normal.

His eyes drifted across the casino—

Ren stood up, stretching lightly. "I had my fun."

He clicked his tongue. "Tch… that was fucking boring."

A small smile formed anyway. "Whatever… I got plenty of money. That's what matters."

He turned to leave—

"Sir, wait!"

The bunny girl stepped in front of him.

We can't let him leave after winning this much…

Ren looked at her with an uninterested face. "Nah. These games are too boring."

She paused—then smiled.

A little sharper this time.

"Then… would you prefer something more exciting?"

Ren stopped and slowly turned back.

His hand pressed against the table, leaning in slightly, cornering her.

A grin spread across his face.

"Now that's what I like to hear."

"So… what is it?"

The bunny girl straightened slightly. "Bring out the Devil's Wheel."

A few people nearby froze.

"…Wait, seriously?"

"That thing?"

"No way…"

She continued, "One spin. One chance. The winning slot appears only once in a thousand rotations. If you win—you get ten times your bet."

A pause.

"And if you lose… you lose everything."

Ren looked at the wheel as it was brought out.

Large. Heavy. Numbers covering almost everything—

Except one small marked slot.

He smiled.

"Oh… this looks interesting."

She explained briefly. He nodded once.

"Got it."

Then—

He pushed everything forward.

"All in."

The entire crowd froze.

"…Is he insane?"

"That's everything he has…"

"Even gods won't save him from that…"

"Shishou, don't do it…"

"Bro's throwing it all away…"

"No way he wins that…"

Ren scratched his ear slightly.

Fuck, these people are annoying…

"Spin it."

The bunny girl's lips curled slightly.

No matter how lucky you are… you can't win this.

Even if by some miracle it gets close… it's designed to shift away.

A faint, hidden laugh inside her mind. There's no way you're winning this.

Ren grabbed the wheel himself.

He spun it without hesitation.

WHRRRRRRRR—

The wheel roared to life.

Fast and loud as it could get.

Everyone's eyes were on the wheel.

The pointer ticked rapidly—

Slowing…

Slower…

The bunny girl watched closely.

Not there… not there… keep moving…

Tick…

Tick…

Tick—

It slowed right near the winning slot—

Yes… move past it—

Click.

Stopped.

Right on it.

Complete silence covered everything again.

"…What?"

"…No way…"

"…It landed…?"

"…HE WON!?"

The place exploded.

"WHAT THE FUCK!?"

"ARE YOU SERIOUS!?"

"1 IN 1000!?"

"THIS GUY IS INSANE!!"

The bunny girl's eyes went blank.

Her knees gave out.

She dropped down.

"…That's… not possible…"

The chips—

No—

The payout stacked.

Higher.

Higher.

Over 90,000.

Ren stretched lightly, completely relaxed.

"…Now that was something."

A bright smile appeared.

"Some real risk."

He glanced at the pile.

"…And a pretty good reward."

He turned, already walking.

Like I could even lose with my current skill—ha.

The bunny girl stayed frozen for a moment… then slowly dropped to her knees, her expression completely blank.

Around her, the staff started panicking.

"W-We're done…"

"That was the Devil's Wheel…"

"…We just paid that out…?"

"If the boss finds out—"

"I-I'm dead… we're all dead…"

Sweat rolled down the dealer's face. "No… this can't be happening…"

The bunny girl's hands trembled slightly. "…We're broke…"

---

Ren, meanwhile, casually gathered the massive pile of chips and adjusted them in his arms. "…This is heavy...too heavy."

He walked straight to the counter and dropped everything on the table somehow.

Clack—Clack—Clack

"…Cash out."

The cashier froze for a second before forcing a stiff smile. "Y-Yes sir…"

Ren glanced at the pile. This is really heavy…

The staff behind the counter exchanged nervous looks, hands slightly shaking as they counted, slower than usual.

"…I-Is this correct…?" one of them asked carefully.

"Yeah."

Another moment of hesitation… then they finally handed over a thick bank check.

Ren took it, glanced at it once, then smiled.

"…Now that's what I call customer service."

He stepped toward the exit, casually whistling, the check tucked away as if it weighed nothing.

Heh… looks like we're having a party tonight.

A good one.

Lucia gonna love this.

A faint smile pulled at his lips as he pushed the door—

Thud

A hand clamped down on his shoulder—

"…just where do you think you're going, sir?"
