The next day ,Shen Jiumei decides to deal Xiao Gongzhu because of her pestering , he had not planned to intervene in her and the sect's master's matter before but Xiao Gongzhu and made him angry and spreads a rumor in the cultivation world about the sect master's sentence being false and Xiao Gongzhu being the one who framed him by altering his memory , at first the cultivators did not want to take it seriously but the sect of the old sect master fought back seriously so a retrial was done and during that time Xiao Gongzhu was not able to kill him yet so the retrial was done , Xiao Gongzhu still thought the artifact she used able to alter the memories permanently what she did not know was that Shen Jiumei had tampered with the artifact she used making it only temporary.
And to make it worse , the servant she had bribed had escaped her pursuit to kill him and went to seek refuge with the sect of the old sect master and exposed everything to them about how Xiao Gongzhu had drugged Luo Binghe and wanted to become his wife but failed as Luo Binghe seemed to have realized her plan and instead went to his wife to cure the drug and he seemed to have used a spell to make the old sect master look like him which made the servant think he was Luo Binghe and led to the room Xiao Gongzhu had set up.
So the day of the retrial came and Xiao Gongzhu did not realize that the altered memories had been fixed and was confident she would lock up the old sect master for his so called wrongdoings against for how dare he defile her pure body . At the beginning of the retrial , the memories of the old master was check again and this time the memories were not the ones they saw in the first trial and was shocked to see that it was Xiao Gongzhu that had willingly slept with him while calling him Luo Binghe .
That what was when everyone remembered that she had tried to offer herself to the demon emperor but was rejected, Xiao Gongzhu face turned pale upon seeing the evidence that was shown and tried to deny everything but no one seemed to believe her again, then the servant came forward and testified against her , when Xiao Gongzhu saw the servant her face turned paler but she was unable to do anything.
Upon seeing the full truth every one looked at her in disgust and were whispering things about her , the cultivators she had oppressed in the past , were looking at her with a mocking smile , soon a verdict was given to her and she was required to face the same punishment as the old sect master at first she was to be whipped but her doting father pleaded for her and she was only imprisoned .
The old sect master was released and apologized too and the Huan Hua Palace was made to give him compensation. The news of Xiao Gongzhu imprisonment had reached Shen Jiumei's ears and he smiled with satisfaction and told the spy to deliver a gift to Xiao Gongzhu .
As Xiao Gongzhu sat in silence in the water prison wondering what had gone wrong , someone suddenly entered his prison room making her look up and saw a female maid who looked like a maid who she had tortured and killed years ago because she was prettier than her and the maid face still bore the wounds she had inflicted upon her and immediately screamed but no one could hear her and tried to use her Qi but realized something had sealed her cultivation, and immediately started to back away trying to move from the dead maid but something seemed to be holding her down and she could only watch helplessly as the maid approached her with an eerie smile .
" young miss did you miss me " said the maid as she extended her pale hands towards the frightened Xiao Gongzhu
" please spear me i am sorry " said Xiao Gongzhu with a trembling voice but the maid acted like she couldn't hear her and immediately attacked strangling her neck but makes sure she doesn't die and only strangling hard enough to make her dizzy .
While Xiao Gongzhu thought the ghost was real and was trying to escape it , what she didn't realize was that she was hallucinating and was the one chocking herself , to others she looked crazy , some guards had tried to stop her but fought against them thinking they were ghosts as well and nearly killed herself before getting knocked out by one of the guards.
