Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Baki is fully recovered, and Yujiro is disappointed

"Wow!" At this moment, in Baki's private locker room, Baki exclaimed as he looked at the floor full of delicious food.

"I knew I should come here." Baki smiled, looking at the steaming Chinese dishes in front of him, and couldn't help but swallow his saliva.

"Eat, these medicinal dishes were all prepared for you at my request." Kaiou Retsu stood by, watching Baki, hoping that after he ate, his fighting spirit would be reignited.

"You're really gentle." Baki looked at the table full of medicinal dishes, his eyes sparkling with gratitude.

"Uh… hurry and eat." A blush appeared on Kaiou Retsu's bronze face; being praised as gentle by a man… was quite embarrassing.

Baki picked up his chopsticks and began to devour the food.

"Delicious!" The steaming, tender meat juices exploded in his mouth, making Baki clap his thighs in delight.

"Eat slowly, these are all for you." Kaiou Retsu said with a smile.

"I'm full." Baki had cleared a dozen plates of medicinal dishes from the floor, his stomach alarmingly large. He slumped against the wall and patted his belly.

"You finished it all, there are still desserts." Kaiou Retsu's lips curved upward, a subtle smile on his face.

"Eat, I'll eat anything, bring them on!" Baki looked at Kaiou Retsu with some anticipation. Although his stomach was full, main courses and desserts were for two different stomachs, so it didn't affect his appetite at all.

"This." Kaiou Retsu walked over, holding an iron bucket, and placed it in front of Baki.

"This is…" Baki looked at the bucket of water with some confusion.

"Water, ten liters of water. This is the minimum amount of water you need to consume right now." Kaiou Retsu slowly explained to Baki.

"Huh! Drink all ten liters of water?" He suddenly felt so bloated now, unable to eat anything else.

"Drinking it directly certainly won't work, and you won't be able to finish it. You need to mix it with this." With that, Kaiou Retsu pulled out a can with a fructose label on it from who knows where.

"Fructose, a high-purity sweetener extracted from fruit, about four kilograms." Kaiou Retsu opened the can and poured its contents into the iron bucket.

"Don't mind the large quantity, but its absorption efficiency is the highest." As he spoke, Kaiou Retsu poured all four kilograms of fructose into the bucket.

"Although your poison is cured, you haven't fully recovered yet. You're not completely back to your best state." Kaiou Retsu put his hand into the iron bucket and began to stir, mixing the fructose with the water.

"My hands are clean, I washed them. Originally, protein and starch were needed, but there's no time." After stirring, Kaiou Retsu gestured for Baki to drink it all.

"Fourteen liters of sugar water…" Baki looked at the iron bucket in his hands, his forehead starting to sweat.

"Drink it, a miracle will happen."

"Gulp, gulp, gulp, burp~" Baki picked up the iron bucket and drank it all in one go. White mist began to emanate from his entire body, and he could feel his body rapidly recovering.

The white mist quickly filled the entire locker room.

"Click."

Just then, the door to Baki's locker room opened, and a tall figure walked in.

"Baki, when did you learn to smoke?" Yujiro Hanma swaggered in, looking at the room full of white mist.

Baki, seeing Yujiro Hanma's arrival, was also extremely nervous, but he couldn't show weakness in front of his friends and girlfriend.

Baki put his hands on his hips and adopted an indifferent attitude, looking at the man in front of him.

"What are you doing here now? Are you really afraid of me, trying to attack me while I haven't fully recovered?" Baki feigned calmness, glancing sideways at Yujiro.

"Baki." Yujiro Hanma put on a disdainful expression, his chin slightly raised as he spoke.

"Stop pretending, your legs are trembling non-stop."

Just as Baki subconsciously looked at his trembling legs, Yujiro Hanma suddenly rushed forward, grabbed his face, and slammed him against the wall.

"When you provoke me, you'd best choose your words carefully." Yujiro Hanma's veins bulged on his face, looking very menacing.

"Even if it's a lie, I won't allow you to say I'm afraid of you!"

"You just won against a third-rate martial artist, don't talk as if you've seen through the Principles of Boxing!"

"Little brat… get lost!" Yujiro Hanma roared, taking a step forward with his right foot, directly smashing the wall and throwing Baki out of the circular stone tower.

"Tch, I thought you might be considered a dessert now, but it seems you're nothing special." Yujiro Hanma instantly lost interest upon seeing Baki's inability to fight back, and he left the locker room with his hands in his pockets.

"Bang!" Baki, thrown out of the circular deep tower by Yujiro Hanma, crashed heavily to the ground. Yujiro Hanma's immense power left him somewhat stunned.

"So strong, truly so strong… strong enough to make me proud." Baki flipped over, jumped up from the ground, and rushed back into the circular stone tower.

"There are always stronger people out there; that's just an empty phrase for you…" He looked at Yujiro Hanma, who was already out of sight, and surprisingly let out a sigh of relief.

Baki clenched his fists, angry at himself for feeling relieved by Yujiro Hanma's departure.

"Baki, are you alright!" Kaiou Retsu and Kozue hurried to Baki's side.

"I'm fine, I just hate that I'm not strong enough." Baki unclenched his fists, his eyes glinting with unwillingness.

"Your father is indeed very strong." Kaiou Retsu patted Baki's shoulder.

"But you need to rest now and prepare for the next match."

"Mm, I understand." Baki nodded, the excitement of returning to his best state now completely gone.

Inside Kaioh Kaku's private locker room, Kaioh Kaku had just finished a match in the arena. An old man and a young man were enjoying tea and chatting.

"Old Guo, it feels like most of the Haihuang this Great Raitai Tournament are fakes." Allen glanced at the system panel. He had ten days left in this world, and continuing at this slow pace was too inefficient. He needed to start thinking of ideas.

Kaioh Kaku took a sip of tea, a smile flashing in his cloudy eyes: "Only our Haihuang, or all of them?"

Allen drank his tea in one gulp, then toyed with the teacup in his hand: "I just assessed everyone's strength. Only three people from China can advance to the next round; all the rest are foreign contestants or foreign Haihuang."

Kaioh Kaku was silent for a moment, then put down his teacup: "You mean?"

"I want to change the competition format. Divide domestic and foreign contestants into two groups, select five contestants to battle. If one contestant wins, they can keep fighting until they defeat all five opponents." Allen's lips curved slightly, and a glint flashed in his eyes as he looked at Kaioh Kaku.

Kaioh Kaku pondered for a moment, then slowly nodded: "Your suggestion… is very interesting."

He put down his teacup, his cloudy eyes sparkling with a keen light: "But doing so would break a century-old tradition."

Allen smiled faintly, and the teacup in his hand turned to dust, scattering in the air: "Traditions are meant to be broken. Besides, wasn't the original intention of the Great Raitai Tournament to determine the strongest person in the world?"
