The two arrived at the Hero Association's Z-City branch. In the spacious hall, several staff members were attending to heroes who had come to register.
"Are you two here to take the Hero Qualification Test?" a female staff member with black-rimmed glasses asked with a smile.
"Yes," Mr. Allen nodded in response.
"Please fill out this application form first." The female staff member handed them two forms.
"After filling them out, please proceed to the Hero Certification Exam's 6th Special Venue for ability assessment."
Mr. Allen and Saitama quickly completed the forms and headed to the 6th Special Venue.
In the plaza, in front of a giant semi-circular building, a group of heroes dressed in various strange costumes were queuing up. A white sign for the Hero Certification Exam's 6th Special Venue stood at the entrance.
"Heroes participating in the test, please form two lines and proceed with the test in order!"
Mr. Allen and Saitama stood at the end of the line. There were truly many heroes coming to take the test, and even after the two arrived, a continuous stream of heroes kept joining the queue.
In front of Mr. Allen, a hero wearing a frog mascot suit and holding a frog balloon turned his head and said in an exaggerated tone, "Wow, you look really strong. Becoming a C-Class Hero should be no problem for you, right?"
Mr. Allen smiled politely, "Thank you, I don't have many requirements for the ranking."
The hero in the frog mascot suit waved his hands dramatically, "You can't be so humble! I'm a man who's going to become an S-Class Hero!"
Saitama-kun yawned beside him, "Allen-kun, how much longer do we have to wait?"
"It should be soon," Mr. Allen glanced at the gradually shortening line ahead.
Soon, a staff member in a dark blue uniform and sunglasses walked over, "Next!"
"Saitama-kun, I'll go test first." Mr. Allen turned and greeted Saitama before following the staff member into the testing area.
Saitama remained in place, waiting. Soon, another staff member came to guide him, and the two were taken to different testing areas.
Mr. Allen followed the staff member into Test Zone 1. The testing ground was equipped with various testing devices, including strength testing machines, speed tracks, and whack-a-mole machines.
"First is the 1500-meter run test." The staff member led Mr. Allen to a track, where other heroes undergoing tests stood on the other tracks.
"1500-meter run, start!"
As the staff member gave the command, Mr. Allen shot out like a cannonball. The muscles in his legs erupted with astonishing power, stirring up dust and smoke at the very moment of his start. Each of Mr. Allen's steps left shallow indentations on the concrete track.
The other participants only felt a blur before their eyes and were already far surpassed by Mr. Allen. When he crossed the finish line, the timer stopped at 20.03 seconds.
"2... 20 seconds!" The staff member stared dumbfounded at the terrifying result. He felt a surge of excitement; it had been a long time since such a strong hero had appeared at the Hero Association's Z-City branch.
Mr. Allen glanced at the time but wasn't overly excited. If he remembered correctly, in the original work, Saitama had already finished running just as the staff member was setting up the finish line.
He adjusted his breathing, feeling the surging power within him. The upgrade of his Hanma Bloodline had elevated Mr. Allen's physical attributes to a whole new level, bringing him one step closer to his full panel completely entering the Demon-level.
If he wanted to drastically improve his physical attributes, perhaps he could get some Monster cells if he had the chance. The system would suppress them anyway; unless Mr. Allen actively wanted to become strangely shaped, he would never change his appearance. As he thought about it, Mr. Allen couldn't help but swallow.
"Next is the strength test." The staff member led Mr. Allen to a punching machine.
Mr. Allen took a deep breath, pulled his right fist back, and all his muscles compressed to their limit like springs. At the moment of the punch, the Texture of his Demon Back became even more ferocious, and his fist tore through the air, emitting a sharp, explosive sound.
"Boom!"
The punching machine let out a deafening bang, the numbers on the display screen flickered wildly, and then it completely blacked out.
"Is... is the machine broken?" The staff member's forehead was covered in fine sweat, and his right hand trembled as he recorded the value that exceeded the test's upper limit.
Mr. Allen withdrew his fist and shook his arm, quite satisfied with this. Although he hadn't used his full strength, it was enough to secure a C-Class Hero position.
After all, no matter how much more force he used, it wouldn't lead to a higher rank; it still depended on contribution, so he didn't bother using his full strength.
In the subsequent whack-a-mole test, Mr. Allen completed the test with a 100% hit rate. His Combat Intuition allowed him to predict where the moles would appear before they even popped out.
After more than a dozen tests, the Hero Association's assessment finally concluded. Mr. Allen walked out of the testing area to the changing room to change his clothes.
As soon as Mr. Allen had changed, Saitama walked into the changing room.
"Allen-kun, your test is done too! The hero test was too easy." Saitama-kun raised an eyebrow, stroked his chin, and said with a hint of pride.
"Yes, the physical test was pretty easy, but the written test was a bit strange." Mr. Allen scratched his head, admitting it forced him to use his Ghost Brain.
Mr. Allen couldn't help but recall the written test question: What should you do when you encounter a crying, young Monster ( )?
A. Use a special move to cheer it up.
B. Buy it snacks.
C. Notify the Child Protection Association to come and adopt it.
D. Tell it that real Monster never cry.
An hour later, the two's test scores were delivered by a staff member. Mr. Allen opened the sealed package in his hand and took out the test results.

Saitama-kun excitedly pulled out the assessment form from his hand, but his smile suddenly froze, and black lines appeared on his face.

Saitama-kun's eyes instantly lit up, and the matter of being a C-Class Hero was forgotten in an instant: "Really? Allen-kun."
"Of course." Mr. Allen nodded with a smile.
"Consider it a celebration for us becoming registered heroes."
Just then, the announcement system above the changing room suddenly sounded.
"Mr. Allen, Mr. Saitama, the successful candidates' briefing will be held at 4 PM. Please proceed to Lecture Hall 3."
"Let's go. Now that we've passed, there's nothing to worry about. Let's finish up quickly and go home for yakiniku." Saitama-kun said, then walked out of the changing room.
