Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: The Toad Sage Prophecy: Sam is the Child of Prophecy?

"Not long ago, I received a call from my dad's friend, Jerry. Dad and I helped him solve a supernatural case before. He suspected the mysterious plane crash was related to the supernatural and let us listen to a recording from before the crash. There was a very abnormal noise that interrupted the pilot's call. We printed the survivor list to investigate the cause of the accident. One survivor said he saw a man with black eyes open the plane's emergency exit. But there's almost two tons of pressure on that emergency exit door." Dean glanced at Anna, who was leaning against the table drinking coffee next to Shane, and paused slightly.

Sam continued, "We checked the plane wreckage and found sulfur residue on the emergency exit door handle. Usually, sulfur residue only appears when demons or ghosts are present."

After speaking, Sam also glanced at Anna.

The Winchester brothers' occasional glances made Anna very unhappy. Her eyes turned black, revealing her fangs. "Want to fight? Boys!"

Dean and Sam were startled by Anna's transformation. Dean instinctively reached for the dagger under his pillow.

"Hey, isn't it excessive to stare at my people like that?"

Shane spoke up. "Although I can understand your surprise at seeing a vampire, can you pay attention when you look? Apologize to Anna, and we'll continue."

"So... sorry." Sam apologized sheepishly.

Dean obviously didn't want to apologize to a vampire, but due to Shane, he followed suit and said sorry.

"The plane case is indeed the work of a demon. Although demons appear more and more frequently recently, it's not easy to see them anywhere except around you two." Shane looked at Sam. "Let's talk about your business next. I can answer many of your doubts, but what can you offer?"

"Aren't we friends?" Dean asked hurriedly.

Shane shrugged. "At most, we're ordinary friends right now. Not close enough for me to get into big trouble for you. I'm prepared to be friends with you, but that doesn't mean I have to give endlessly without a bottom line. Friendship is mutual."

Sam said bluntly, "What do you want?"

"Blood!"

Shane patted Anna's shoulder and smiled. "Coffee can't fill her stomach. At least treat her to a cup of blood. By the way, not your blood."

"Is there something wrong with my blood?" Sam asked in confusion.

Shane shrugged. "I think Anna wouldn't like it."

"A cup of blood for answers to our questions, right? Deal! But your information better be useful." Dean stood up, took an empty cup, and directly cut his arm with a small knife to drip blood.

Shane smiled and said, "Where to start? Let's start with blood. Sam, when you were six months old, something happened to your mother. She was killed by the Yellow-Eyed Demon. At that time, besides killing your mother, the Yellow-Eyed Demon did one more thing. He fed you his blood. Demon blood."

Clang. The cup tipped over. Dean hurriedly steadied it, looking at Sam with a grave expression.

"You said Sam has demon blood in him. Is this true?"

Shane nodded. "Sam will awaken abilities soon. He'll be able to foresee deaths through dreams. If you don't believe me, you can wait. If you're impatient, you can spend some time investigating. There's more than one case of a mother being burned on the ceiling like yours."

"Why?"

"The Yellow-Eyed Demon targets six-month-old infants. The infants are fed demon blood, and the mothers are burned on the ceiling. As for the reason, it's too early to tell you now. In short, this wasn't an accident, and Sam isn't the only one."

"What about my girlfriend? Why did it kill my girlfriend?" Sam asked angrily.

Shane shrugged. "If he didn't kill her, would you give up your normal life? Killing her was just the Yellow-Eyed Demon's means to force you."

Dean spoke up: "Our father..."

"He's fine right now. The reason he left without saying goodbye is to find a way to kill the demon completely. He also hopes you can grow through the opportunity of finding him, so even if he's gone, you'll have the ability to protect yourselves. By the way, the reason I said you encounter all kinds of supernatural events is because of the demon blood in Sam. That thing attracts supernatural creatures to you."

"How do you know all this?" Dean asked in a deep voice.

Shane chuckled softly. "Have you heard of Mount Myoboku?"

Dean and Sam looked at each other and shook their heads.

"Mount Myoboku is one of the Three Great Sage Regions. The ancestor, the Great Toad Sage, has extremely accurate prophetic abilities. He prophesied that a major event affecting the survival of the world would happen in the future, and also prophesied the Child of Prophecy."

Shane bullshitted, copying the events from the Naruto anime. Combined with the Winchester brothers' experiences and Shane's attitude towards them, it was easy to create a cognitive illusion: The Child of Prophecy mentioned by the Great Toad Sage was Sam!

Actually, thinking this way wasn't wrong. After all, the Yellow-Eyed Demon's goal was to break the seals on the Gates of Hell and release Lucifer. The opening of Hell's Gates and Lucifer's manifestation indeed counted as a major event affecting the world's survival.

Whether you believe it or not, I believe it anyway!
