Chapter 77 - Chapter 76 constant

The Crimson Constant

[Jay's POV]

The first light of dawn was a soft, pale blue, filtering through the frost on the windows and illuminating the room in a ghostly glow. As my consciousness slowly returned, I didn't feel the usual cold of a winter morning. Instead, I felt a heavy, radiating heat—a solid weight that anchored me to the bed..

I shifted slightly, and my breath caught. The sensation from the night before hadn't ended. Keifer was still there, his body a powerful, warm weight over mine, his presence still filling me with a staggering intimacy.

"Keifer..." I whispered, my voice sounding like gravel and honey. I nudged his shoulder gently. "Keif, wake up. You... you're still inside."

He let out a low, sleepy groan, his face buried in the crook of my neck. He didn't pull away. Instead, I felt his muscles tingle, his body reacting to the sound of my voice. The "System Restart" was instantaneous.

"I know," he mumbled, his breath hot against my skin. "I told you I didn't want to leave."

"But Keifer," I breathed, my hands sliding up his chest, "everyone will be awake soon. We have to—"

"One more," he interrupted, his voice dropping into that dark, possessive register. "One more session to officially start the day, Jay. Just for us."

He didn't wait for a calculation. He began to move—a slow, deep, and rhythmic pace that was even more intense than the night before because it was fueled by the quiet, raw energy of the morning. I clung to him, my senses overwhelmed by the feeling of him, until we both reached a peak that felt like a sunrise in my chest.

[Keifer's POV]

When I finally, reluctantly, withdrew from her, the loss of contact felt like a physical ache. I shifted to her side, pulling her against my chest to keep her warm. But as I moved the duvet back, I froze.

Small, vivid crimson stains marked the white silk of the sheets beneath her.

Jay looked down, and I saw her entire body go rigid. Her eyes widened, her pupils dilating as she stared at the marks. She looked up at me, her voice trembling, a flash of genuine fear crossing her face

"Keifer?" she gasped, her hand reaching out to clutch my arm. "Keifer, there's... am I hurt? Did we... did something go wrong with the math?"

I immediately sat up, pulling her into my lap and cupping her face with both hands. I looked into her eyes, making sure my gaze was the steadiest thing in the room.

"Hey, look at me," I said, my voice soft but firm. "It's okay, Jay. Everything is functioning exactly as it should. It's nothing to be shocked by. It's a biological indicator—it happens when someone loses their virginity. It's just your body's way of.acknowledging what happened last night. You aren't broken, and you aren't hurt. I promise."

I kissed her forehead, feeling the tension slowly drain from her shoulders. I saw the realization dawn in her eyes, followed by a soft, shy flush that crept up from her neck.

"I... I forgot that part of the biology," she whispered, leaning her head against my shoulder.

"I've got you," I murmured. I stood up, effortlessly lifting her into my arms. She was so light, so precious. I didn't want her to worry about a single thing today. I carried her toward the en-suite bathroom, determined to turn this moment of shock into one of pure, focused care.

[Jay's POV]

Keifer carried me into the bathroom as if I were made of glass. He set me down gently on the plush rug while he started the water. The tub was massive—a marble basin that could have been a small pool—

and as the steam began to fill the room, the scent of lavender and sandalwood rose with it.

He helped me into the water, then joined me, sitting behind me so I could lean back against his chest.

It was the most romantic bath of my life. There were no calculations, no schedules, no "K-Line" brothers banging on the door yet. There was only the feeling of Keifer's hands as he used a silk sponge to gently wash my skin, his movements slow and reverent.

"You're glowing, Jay," he whispered, his lips brushing against the wet skin of my shoulder.

I looked at my reflection in the steamed-up mirror across the room. He was right. There was a new light in my eyes, a softness to my expression that hadn't been there twenty-four hours ago. The "Empress" looked different—more human, more alive.

"I feel... integrated," I admitted, reaching back to lace my fingers with his. "Like the equation finally balanced itself out."

He chuckled, a deep, satisfied sound that vibrated through the water. He leaned forward, kissing the side of my neck, his arms wrapping around me in the warm, scented depths of the bath. "100% integration achieved. And for the record? You're the most beautiful variable I've ever had the privilege to study."

I tilted my head back, looking up at him, the steam curling around us. I felt radiant, cherished, and completely safe. The bloodstains were a memory; the bath was a baptism into our new reality.

I was no longer just a genius, and he was no longer just a prince. We were a unit. Unbreakable. Infinite.
