Chapter 134 - Chapter 133

'[Jay's POV]

The descent was like watching a watercolor painting come to life. The deep, impossible blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea met the rugged, lemon-scented cliffs of the Amalfi Coast as the Watson private jet banked sharply toward the coast.

"Look, Keif!" I pressed my face to the window, the 100% Glow practically vibrating in my chest. "It looks like the mountains are just rising straight out of the water."

Keifer didn't look at the mountains. He was looking at me, his hand resting on my knee, his eyes filled with a quiet, intense satisfaction. "The geography is acceptable," he murmured. "But the reflection of the Mediterranean in your eyes is a much more interesting data set."

The Landing Protocol

The wheels touched down at the private terminal with a whisper of luxury. As the stairs lowered, the warm, salt-thick air of Italy rushed into the cabin, carrying the scent of jasmine and ancient stone.

Waiting on the tarmac was a vintage, open-top Alfa Romeo in a deep racing red.

"Keifer... is that for us?" I gasped, stepping onto the runway.

"The 'Integration' requires a specific aesthetic for the Amalfi Coast," Keifer said, taking my hand and leading me toward the car. "And I didn't think a bulletproof SUV matched your dress."

The Drive to Ravello

Keifer took the driver's seat, looking like a literal movie star in his linen shirt and dark sunglasses. I hopped into the passenger side, my silk headscarf (the one Mica insisted I pack) fluttering in the wind.

As we hit the winding coastal roads, the "Chaos" of the mansion felt a million miles away. Keifer drove with a focused precision, his hand shifting gears while his other hand stayed firmly locked with mine over the center console.

"System check, Mrs. Watson," he shouted over the roar of the engine as we rounded a hairpin turn overlooking a thousand-foot drop. "Are your oxygen levels stable?"

"100%!" I laughed, the wind whipping my hair. "But I think my heart rate is exceeding the safety limit!"

The Arrival at the Villa

We pulled up to a set of massive, ivy-covered iron gates high above the town of Ravello. As they creaked open, a private villa emerged—a masterpiece of white stone, sprawling terracotta terraces, and infinity pools that seemed to spill directly into the ocean.

The staff was lined up, but Keifer gave them a single, sharp nod that said, 'Leave us.' Within minutes, the villa was silent, save for the sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs far below.

The Private Sanctuary

Keifer walked me to the edge of the terrace. The view was infinite. The sun was starting to dip, turning the sea into liquid gold.

"Analysis, Jay?" he asked, stepping behind me and wrapping his arms around my waist, his chin resting on my shoulder.

"It's... it's a glitch in reality, Keif," I whispered, leaning back into his heat. "It's too beautiful to be real."

"It's real," he murmured, his lips brushing against the "mark" he had left on my neck the night before. "And for the next ten days, the only people who exist in this system are you and me. No Board members, no Squad, and definitely no 'Honey Moon' telescopes."

I turned in his arms, looking up into those possessive blue eyes. "Just the Constant and the System?"

"100%," he promised, picking me up and carrying me toward the master suite that overlooked the Mediterranean. "Offline. Permanently.
