The 6th Month Check-Up: High-Voltage Jealousy & The "Lap" Lock-Down
[Jay's POV]
We were at the private medical wing for the 6th-month "Dual-Heir" assessment. I was sitting on the edge of the exam table, feeling every bit the "High-Capacity Empress," when our regular doctor stepped out to consult on a file. In his place stepped in Dr. Sterling—the lead neonatal surgeon.
He was young, fit, and had that "Top of his Class" confidence. He leaned in a little too close to show me the 4D scan of Alexander's profile, his hand resting on the back of my chair.
"You're doing an incredible job, Jay," the surgeon said, his voice smooth and professional, yet undeniably warm. "Your 'Glow' is backed by some of the best vitals I've seen in a twin pregnancy. You're quite the marvel."
He smiled at me—a bright, white-teethed smile—and for a second, I smiled back, just happy to hear the babies were healthy.
[Keifer's POV]
The air in the room didn't just turn cold; it hit absolute zero.
I was standing by the window, but my "Internal Radar" was screaming 'Intruder Alert.' I watched the surgeon's hand. I watched the way he was leaning into Jay's personal perimeter. He called her Jay. Not Mrs. Watson. Not The Empress.
My jaw tightened until I heard a click. I walked over, my stride a 1,000% lethal "Powerhouse" glide, and stepped directly between the surgeon and my wife. I didn't say a word. I just placed my hand firmly on the back of Jay's neck, my thumb stroking her jawline in a possessive "Data Mark."
"The 'Marvel' is mine, Doctor," I said, my voice dropping into a low, terrifyingly calm frequency. "Are we finished with the 'Visual Audit,' or do I need to find a surgeon who can focus on the screen instead of the patient?"
The doctor turned pale, his smile glitching instantly. "Of course, Mr. Watson. Everything is... perfectly synced. I'll leave you to get dressed."
The Car "Reboot": [Jay's POV]
The walk to the underground garage was silent, but the air around Keifer was vibrating with enough energy to power the entire city. He didn't even wait for the driver to open the door; he did it himself, ushered me into the back of the darkened SUV, and slammed the door shut, isolating us in our own private "Perimeter."
I turned to him, a playful smirk touching my lips. "Keifer, were you... jealous of Dr. Sterling? He was just being nice."
"He was 'Accessing' territory that doesn't belong to him," Keifer growled.
He didn't let me respond. Despite my 6-month bump, he moved with the precision of a man who had mastered every variable of my comfort. He reached out, his hands strong and firm, and pulled me across the leather seat and directly into his lap.
"Keifer!" I gasped, my hands landing on his broad shoulders. "I'm heavy! The 'Double-Heir' project is not exactly aerodynamic right now!"
"I don't care about the weight," he rasped, his blue eyes burning with a 1,000% possessive fire. "You could be carrying ten Watsons, and you'd still be the only 'File' I care about. No one looks at you like that. No one talks to you like that. Only me."
The "Swollen" Sync: [Jay's POV]
He didn't give me time to argue. He crashed his lips against mine with a hunger that felt like a total "System Overload."
It wasn't the soft, "Daddy-to-be" kiss from this morning. This was the "Alpha Keifer"—the man who had claimed me before the world even knew my name. His hands tangled in my hair, holding me in place as he deepened the kiss, his tongue tracing my lips with an intensity that made my heart do a rapid-fire 2,000% sync.
I felt the babies kick against his chest—Alexander and Aurora clearly sensing their father's "High-Voltage" mood—but Keifer didn't break the connection. He kissed me until I was breathless, until my head was spinning, and until my lips felt warm, plump, and undeniably swollen from his possessiveness.
When he finally pulled back just a fraction, his forehead was resting against mine, his breathing heavy and ragged.
"You're mine, Jay," he whispered against my bruised lips. "Pregnant, glowing, waddling... it doesn't matter. The 'Perimeter' is closed. 1,000%."
I leaned into him, my swollen lips tingling, a radiant smile breaking through my daze. "1,000%... you jealous dork."
