Chapter 281 - post launch

The "New Management": 5 Hours Post-Launch

[Jay's POV]

It had been exactly five hours since the "Double-Heir" deployment. We were moved into the Royal Maternity Suite at Peralta, which had been converted into a "Watson Command Center."

The twins weren't even a day old, but the "Chaos" they were emitting was 2,000% stronger than any corporate takeover. They weren't just babies; they were tiny, swaddled "Roast Masters."

Target 1: The CEO (Keifer)

Keifer was holding Alexander (in the blue swaddle). He was trying to give the boy a "Mission Briefing" about the importance of a 2:00 AM sleep-cycle optimization.

"Now, Alexander, you must understand that 'Crying' is an inefficient use of—"

SPLUT.

A projectile-milk-burp landed perfectly on Keifer's 5,000 bespoke silk shirt. Alexander didn't cry; he just stared at his father with a look that said, "Your 'Dress Code' is irrelevant to my 'System Requirements'."

"He just 'Vandalized' the CEO," Ci-N cackled from the doorway. "1,000% ROI on that burp, kid!"

Target 2: The Tactical Queen (Bridget)

Bridget walked over to Aurora (in the pink swaddle), who was resting in my arms. Bridget looked at her with "Drill Sergeant" eyes.

"Listen here, Aurora. I'm going to teach you 'Perimeter Defense' before you can crawl. No one gets past—"

Aurora slowly opened one eye, looked at Bridget's tactical combat boots, and then let out a long, loud, vibrating fart that echoed through the high-tech room.

"Did she just... 'Gas' me?" Bridget blinked, stunned.

"She just 'Neutralized' your authority, Bridge," I giggled. "She thinks your 'Tactical Energy' is a 'Biological Hazard'."

Target 3: The Update King (Keigan) & Rina

Keigan leaned in with his tablet, trying to show Alexander a high-definition "Visual Stimuli" app. "Look, buddy, this 'Update' will help your 'Neural Pathways'—"

Alexander immediately grabbed Keigan's stylus with his tiny, surprisingly strong hand and shoved it toward his own mouth. When Keigan tried to pull it back, Alexander let out a "High-Decibel" shriek that caused Keigan's smart-watch to trigger a "Noise Pollution" alert.

"The kid just 'Hacked' your hardware, Keigan!" Keiran laughed, staying a safe distance away.

"Rina, help!" Keigan cried.

Rina leaned in with a soft, analog lavender-scented blanket. "Here, Alexander, try this—"

Alexander turned his head away with such "Hostile Disdain" that Rina actually gasped. "He... he just 'Rejected' my 'Vibe'!"

Target 4: Pappa Keizer & Mamma Serina

Pappa Keizer walked over, looking at the two infants like he was checking for "Structural Defects."

"They look a bit small for 'Empire Builders'," Pappa grunted.

At that exact moment, both twins—as if they had a 'Local Network Sync'—started screaming in a perfectly harmonized, 3,000% volume "Duet." It was so loud that Pappa Keizer actually took two steps back.

"They're 'Deafening' the Legacy!" Pappa shouted over the noise.

Mamma Serina tried to step in with her "Queen Mother" grace. "Hush now, little ones—"

Aurora reached out a tiny hand and somehow managed to get a grip on Mamma's perfectly coiffed bun, pulling a single strand of hair loose.

"Oh!" Mamma laughed, though she looked shocked. "She just 'De-constructed' my styling!"

The Final Verdict: [Jay's POV]

I looked at Keifer, who was still wearing the milk-stain like a "Badge of Defeat," and then at the rest of the "Squad" who were all looking 1,000% exhausted after only 5 hours.

"Keif," I whispered, as the twins finally settled back into a smug, victorious silence. "I think the 'Data' is clear."

"What 'Data', Jay?" Keifer asked, looking at his son with terrifying pride.

"We aren't the 'Admins' anymore. Alexander and Aurora just 'Factory Reset' the whole family. We're all just 'Guest Users' in their world now."

"1,000%," Ci-N agreed, snapping a photo of the chaos. "The Watsons have been 'Liquidated'."
