The "Grand Extraction": The Watson Convoy
[Jay's POV]
If the arrival at Peralta Hospital was a "Security Alert," the discharge was a full-scale "Global Deployment." It was the day the Double-Heirs, Alexander and Aurora, finally "Logged Out" of the medical system to be "Installed" in the Watson Mansion.
I was sitting in the VIP lounge, dressed in a soft, cream-colored tracksuit (carefully selected by Keifer for "Optimal Travel Comfort"). The twins were already "Docked" in their high-tech, charcoal-grey infant carriers—looking like two tiny, expensive pieces of "Hardware" ready for transport.
09:00 AM: The "Perimeter" Check [Keifer's POV]
I stood at the window, my phone glued to my ear, overlooking the hospital driveway. My "Alpha" frequency was at 1,000%.
"Felix, status on the lead car?" I barked.
"1,000% secure, Boss," Felix's voice crackled through the Bluetooth. "The 'Convoy' is in formation. Five armored SUVs. Three decoy routes. The 'Path' to the mansion is 'Clean'."
"And the 'Climate-Sync' in the vehicle?"
"Exactly 22.5°C, Keif. Just like the 'Empress' requested. Stop 'Over-Analyzing' the air quality; the car has a better filtration system than a laboratory."
I turned to look at Jay. She was holding Aurora's carrier, smiling at the sleeping baby. My "Internal Servers" did a strange little flip. We were leaving with two more Watsons than we arrived with. The "ROI" on this trip was immeasurable.
The "Dr. Ci-N" Final Audit: [Jay's POV]
The door swung open, and Ci-N walked in, holding a stack of "Discharge Files" and—oddly enough—a giant gold balloon shaped like a '1'.
"Alright, 'Legacy Legends'," Ci-N grinned, handing the balloon to a confused-looking Keifer. "The 'System Diagnostic' is complete. Jay, you're 1,000% cleared for 'Home-Base Recovery'. Alexander and Aurora are officially the healthiest 'Inputs' I've ever seen."
"Finally," I sighed, standing up slowly. "I need to get away from the smell of 'Antiseptic' and back to my 'Silk and Cotton' reality."
"Wait!" Ci-N stopped us, holding up a finger. "One final 'Protocol'. Keifer, you have to sign the 'Father-Mode' waiver. It states that you will not try to 'Background-Check' the babies' future playdates until at least their first birthday."
"I make no such 'Commitment'," Keifer deadpanned, signing the medical papers with a flourish. "The 'Perimeter' starts at the nursery door."
The "Hero's Walk": [Author's POV]
The walk to the elevator was a spectacle.
Keifer led the way, carrying both infant carriers with a level of "Tactical Precision" that made them look weightless.
Jay walked beside him, looking every bit the Empress Mother.
The Squad (Bridget, Keigan, Rina, and Keiran) formed a literal "Human Shield" around them.
As the automatic doors of the hospital opened, the sunlight hit the convoy. The black SUVs were polished to a 2,000% shine. The drivers stood at attention like they were preparing for a royal coronation.
"Look at that," Bridget whispered, nudging Felix. "The 'Ice King' is actually carrying the carriers in a 'Diamond Formation'. He's protecting the 'Cargo' from imaginary snipers."
"It's not imaginary, Bridget!" Keifer snapped as he carefully "Locked" Alexander into the base of the SUV. "It's 'Proactive Risk Management'."
The "Departure" Moment: [Jay's POV]
I climbed into the back seat of the primary SUV. Keifer climbed in beside me, sitting in the middle so he could monitor both babies at once.
As the car pulled away, I looked back at the hospital.
"We're going home, Hubby," I whispered, resting my head on his shoulder.
Keifer didn't look away from the babies. He reached out and adjusted the tiny blanket over Aurora's legs for the tenth time. "1,000%, Weify. The 'Mansion OS' is about to get a very loud 'System Upgrade'."
"And the CEO is about to get very little sleep," I teased.
"I don't need sleep," Keifer murmured, his eyes glowing with that "Double-Heir" pride. "I have 'Adrenaline' and 'Assets'. Let's go. Home-Base awaits."
