Chapter 303 - system crash

The "Romantic System Crash": When 1,000% Romance Meets 2,000% Toddler

[Jay's POV]

We finally returned to the Watson Estate after the "Wedding Shopping War." The "Squad" had taken the twins to the East Wing nursery, and for the first time in approximately 438 hours, Keifer and I were alone in the master suite.

The sun was setting, casting a "Golden-Hour" filter over the room. Keifer had dimmed the lights to a "Warm Amber" and turned on a low-frequency jazz playlist. He looked at me with that intense "Ice King" gaze that usually precedes a "High-Value Merger"—or a very romantic evening.

"Jay," he whispered, pulling me into his arms. "The 'Double-Heirs' are occupied. The 'Mansion Perimeter' is secure. I am officially 'Off-Duty'. I want to 'Re-sync' with my wife."

The "Initialization" of Romance: [Keifer's POV]

I leaned in, my heart rate "Overclocking" at 140 BPM. I was about to "Execute" the perfect kiss when I felt something. Not a "System Error," but a "Physical Weight" hitting the backs of my knees.

"Da-da! UP!"

I froze. I didn't even have to look down to know the "Security Perimeter" had been "Breached."

Alexander had somehow "Bypassed" the nursery lock (I suspect Bridget taught him how to "Hack" the latch). He was standing there, holding a half-chewed rubber dinosaur, looking at me with 1,000% expectation.

"Alexander," I groaned, my voice dropping an octave. "The 'Executive Session' is closed. Return to the 'Soft-Zone'."

Alexander didn't return. He let out a loud "GAH!" and climbed up my leg like it was a "Tactical Climbing Wall," wedging himself directly between Jay and me.

The "Bossy" Intervention: [Jay's POV]

"Well, so much for 'Re-syncing'," I laughed, reaching down to pet Alexander's hair.

"I can 'Fix' this, Jay," Keifer said, his eyes still burning with romantic intent. He picked up Alexander and set him gently on the "High-Tension" velvet sofa with a pile of toys. "Stay, Alexander. 'Authorize' your father ten minutes of 'Private Server' time."

Keifer turned back to me, taking my hands. "As I was saying, Weify... you look 2,000% beautiful today."

He leaned in again. Our lips were inches apart.

"EH! MA-MA! NOW!"

The voice came from the doorway. Aurora was standing there, her tiny hands on her hips, her "Watson-Gold" tiara tilted at a "Hostile" angle. She wasn't just in the room; she was "Auditing" the situation.

The "Mood" Liquidation: [Author's POV]

Aurora didn't just walk in; she "Marched." She bypassed her brother on the sofa and headed straight for Keifer. She looked at his hand—which was currently resting on my waist—and let out a sharp, disapproving "TSK."

She physically grabbed Keifer's thumb and tried to pull him toward the door.

"She's 'Vetoing' our intimacy, Hubby," I wheezed, doubling over with laughter. "She thinks your 'Hand Placement' is a 'Protocol Violation'."

"Aurora!" Keifer protested, looking like he was about to cry from "Romantic Frustration." "I am 'Interacting' with your Mother! We are 'Reinforcing' our 'Marital Bond'!"

Aurora let out a long, dramatic sigh—exactly like Mamma Serina—and then pointed at the floor. "SIT. MA-MA. BOOK."

She wasn't asking. She was "Issuing a Directive." She had brought a copy of "CEO for Toddlers" and expected a "Full-Scale Reading" immediately.

The "Simp" Surrender: [Jay's POV]

Keifer looked at me. I looked at him. The "Amber Lighting" was still beautiful, the jazz was still playing, but our "Romantic Portals" were currently occupied by a "Tactical Destroyer" and a "Tiny Dictator."

"1,000%," Keifer muttered, dropping to the rug.

"1,000% what, Keif?"

"1,000% 'Project Failure'," he sighed, as Alexander crawled off the sofa to sit on his head, and Aurora crawled into my lap with her book. "I am the most powerful CEO in the hemisphere, and I've just been 'De-platformed' by two people who can't even reach the door handle."

I leaned over and kissed his cheek while Aurora wasn't looking. "It's okay, Hubby. The 'Assets' just want to be part of the 'Core System'."

"They aren't 'Part' of it, Jay," Keifer said, as Aurora hit him with the book to make him start reading. "They ARE the 'System'. We're just the 'Hardware'."
