The "Post-Operational" Recovery: Rina's Systems Crash
[Jay's POV]
The brunch teasing had been brutal, but once the men—led by a very smug Keifer—retreated to the "Command Center" to talk tech and "Asset Management," the mood shifted. We noticed Rina hadn't actually left her chair. In fact, she looked like her "Lower Chassis" had been completely "De-commissioned."
When she tried to stand up to grab a napkin, she winced, her knees buckled slightly, and she sat back down with a tiny, pained "Oh."
Mamma Serina, Bridget, and I exchanged a 1,000% knowing look. The "Watson Stamina" was legendary, and it looked like Keigan had finally "Unlocked" that particular family trait.
The "Medical" Intervention: [Bridget's POV]
"Status check," I said, stepping over and placing a steadying hand on Rina's shoulder. "You've got a 'Mobility Malfunction', don't you? The 'Target'—Keigan—clearly over-performed during the 'Night Exercise'."
"Bridget!" Rina squeaked, her face glowing like a "System Overload" warning. "I... I just... I think I pulled a muscle. Or twelve."
"Honey, you didn't pull a muscle," Mamma Serina said, gliding over with the grace of an Empress. She signaled to a servant. "Prepare the 'Herbal Compression' bath in the East Suite. And bring the silk cushions."
She turned back to Rina, patting her cheek. "The first time a Watson man realizes he's 'Authenticated' for life... they tend to 'Over-Clock' the system. It's a 'Feature', not a 'Bug', but the 'Physical Hardware' always pays the price."
The "Recovery Protocol": [Jay's POV]
"Alright, 'Mission: Rina Recovery' is active," I announced.
I grabbed one of Rina's arms, and Bridget—with her 2,000% "Enforcer Strength"—grabbed the other. We basically "Airlifted" her out of the chair. Rina's feet barely touched the marble as we moved her toward the elevator.
"I can walk! I promise!" Rina protested, though her shaky legs said otherwise.
"Negative," Bridget barked. "You are 'Non-Operational'. We are 'Transporting' the asset to the 'Healing Zone'."
We got her to the suite, where Mamma Serina had already laid out a "Recovery Kit":
The "Watson-Secret" Ointment: Sourced from a private apothecary.
Liquid Gold Tea: For "Internal System Soothing."
The 5,000 Thread-Count Robe: For "Maximum Skin-Comfort."
The "Bossy" Nurse: Aurora's Input
As we were tucking Rina into a mountain of silk pillows, the door creaked open. Aurora marched in, followed by a confused-looking Alexander.
Aurora looked at Rina lying down, then looked at the "Herbal Ointment." She let out a sharp, diagnostic "EH!" and pointed at Rina's legs.
"She knows you're 'Damaged', Rina," I laughed.
Aurora walked to the bed, climbed up (with Bridget's help), and placed her tiny, cool hand on Rina's forehead. Then, she looked at me and pointed at the door.
"She's 'Enforcing' a 'Quiet Zone'," Bridget whispered. "She's 'Vetoing' any more noise so the 'Patient' can recover."
Aurora then reached into her little pocket, pulled out a singular, slightly squashed "Watson-Gold" chocolate, and placed it on Rina's chest. "EAT," she commanded.
"She's 'Authorizing' a 'Glucose Injection'," I smiled. "1,000% 'Care-Mode' enabled."
The "Threat" Assessment: [Jay's POV]
"I feel so embarrassed," Rina muffled into a pillow. "Keigan is going to think he 'Broke' me."
"Oh, he knows he broke you," I teased, sitting on the edge of the bed. "He was walking around brunch with a 3,000% 'Alpha-Grin'. But don't worry—Bridget is going to go 'Calibrate' him."
"Already on it," Bridget said, cracking her knuckles. "I'm going to tell him that if he 'Over-Clocks' your system like that again without a 'Cool-Down Period', I'll 'Liquidate' his gaming setup."
"And I'll tell Keifer to keep him busy with 'Market Analytics' for the next six hours," Mamma Serina added with a wink. "Give your 'Hardware' some time to 'Reset'."
