Chapter 10 - Act 1 Chapter 10 — However, the artifact disappeared again.

Infori immediately targeted Morak, who was holding the Blades of Mirage.

"Give them to me!"

Intri moved, swinging his sword at the still-standing Morak, cutting his body into pieces and vanishing—without resistance.

The Blades of Mirage he was holding were about to fall, but Infori reflexively grabbed the hilt of the blade.

However, not long afterward.

The dagger unleashed a tremendous wave of energy, its power even surpassing the previous one. This was the extraordinary power of a rare artifact.

WOOSH!

Here, Infori was once again sent flying backward, crashing into a wooden tower.

"WOW—!!"

In fact, it wasn't just Infori. The Morak present were also affected, all of them blown away, some even instantly vanishing from the energy release.

A single wooden tower also experienced the same thing, the wood supporting it cracking and finally breaking, causing the tower to collapse downward—removing the Morak within.

BROOOM!

Once again, the dagger shot out at incredible speed. It shot unhindered toward the giant sacred tree that could still be seen from a distance—Everness.

WOOOM!

Infori saw it.

"Again..." he said, gasping for breath.

The same thing happened again, the Blades of Mirage now completely vanished. The hope he had given Infori had turned out to be false and dangerous.

However, what was even more dangerous was...

Infori heard from inside a small wooden house—the voices of the Morak within. Several Morak then emerged from the wooden house, looking at Infori with vengeful gazes.

They assumed Infori had done all this. The tower was destroyed, several Morak were gone. They assumed Infori had done it.

Infori could only surrender after seeing this chaos.

"Oh dear... There's no other choice. If this chaos was caused by me..."

He then rose and simply stood before them without the slightest fear. Then, he pointed his sword at the horde of Morak.

"...Then, I must finish it."

Infori then swung his sword, unleashing a powerful wind slash that struck them all—throwing them backward.

However, some still managed to hold on. So, they dashed toward him, wielding their weapons with courage.

Not wanting to waste time, Infori also ran toward them. Once he felt close enough, he swung his sword upward, sending one of them flying with the wind.

"Haaa!"

Infori leaped, quickly getting in front of him and slashing at every part of his body with pinpoint precision.

"Take this!"

Then, he slashed him, splitting him in two and vanishing into thin air.

Infori then descended, launching a strike at the remaining nine Morak. He landed smoothly and launched a swift attack, slashing one Morak.

Then, he advanced and swung his sword again, unleashing a powerful wind-driven slash at them. This caused some of them to fall, about two.

However, their numbers still overwhelmed Infori. He decided to retreat a short distance and take another look.

"Damn... Even though some have fallen, they're still holding on!" he said, observing their movements. "Now there are only seven left. Alright, I'll finish them off right away."

Infori closed his eyes and began to chant a powerful spell, powerful enough to frighten even the Morak.

"Dispel the darkness with your wind, transform the sound of the wind filled with evil into good…"

The winds began to move calmly toward Infori's sword. His sword was now enveloped in a strong gust, sweeping away all the dust on the ground.

Everyone present seemed compelled to move to witness this.

"…Eliminate those who seek to destroy the tranquility, and punish them for their actions!" Infori declared, his voice electrifying all the Morak present. "Come forth! Winds Rings — Wind O Twister!"

After chanting the incantation of the Winds Rings artifact skill, Infori immediately swung his sword from left to right, unleashing something far greater than just a simple slash of wind.

He unleashed a tornado—a whirling mass of wind that swirled violently, creating a tremendous vortex of wind that swept toward the Morak.

"…?!"

"GAARRHHG!"

They were all carried away by the whirlwind that headed towards the wooden house, causing some of them to disappear.

The whirlwind quickly erased their presence, even reaching the wooden house. Then, it finally vanished into thin air.

When all the Morak were gone, the wind stopped moving, and then—

WOOOSSSSHHH!

The wind seemed to explode, causing the winds, previously unsettled by its presence, to calm down again.

Infriri returned his sword to its sheath and looked back ahead. The camp that should have been standing was now gone, leaving only a few wooden remains of its destruction.

"It's done, huh."

ZONE CLEAR

A short time later, he was back on the original path. The one leading to Storm Queen City, albeit a little off-course. However, Infori remained on his path.

Infriri was walking there, feeling disappointed after the Blades of Mirage disappeared again.

"Oh dear... It was right before my eyes, and it's still gone... What a strange, rare artifact," he said, his voice weak and complaining. "Well, at least I can eliminate the Morak camp in this safe zone."

He was a little pleased to find that the safe zone was now safe again. Monsters like Morak shouldn't have been able to return to it.

And now the time had changed, the sky was starting to show a blue hue with a hint of orange.

"Hopefully, I can make it to Storm Queen City before nightfall."

Still, disappointment was disappointment. He could only keep moving forward now, only forward.
