Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: Touko's Farewell

The following days seemed to settle into a normal routine, forming a virtuous cycle. Rin would use her free time each day to instruct Aoko in Mana Burst and martial arts training. Aoko, as always, went to school and continued her cultivation.

Under Rin's personal efforts, the underground forces of Misaki City were completely unified, forming a vast, invisible intelligence network and control zone that covered the entire city. Any suspicious individuals who stealthily infiltrated or blended into Misaki City would be compiled into intelligence and delivered to Rin. After Rin's identification, the Maguss among them would be handed over to Aoko and Alice.

In this way, Maguss with ulterior motives regarding the misaki leyline and the Fifth Magic were all found without exception. With Aoko and Alice's cooperation and Rin's help, a major cleanup of Misaki City's underworld took place! Immediately, the entire Misaki became much quieter.

Just like that, six months passed in a flash.

On this day, Rin was in her room studying the puppet technique scrolls that Aozaki Touko had given her. Rin had almost completely mastered the puppet technique, but in terms of practical operation, there were always some details that were not handled properly. After all, this was a completely manual technique, and End Magic could not help her complete it.

But because of this, Rin began to pay more and more attention to her research on puppet techniques, because this could greatly train her attention and detailed operation ability. She had to quickly get rid of the completion effect of End Magic and truly achieve the perfect spell that she had deduced.

"Ding-a-ling-a-ling-a-ling, ding-a-ling-a-ling-a-ling..." Rin's cell phone rang. To be honest, Rin was still not used to this late 20th-century candy bar black-and-white phone, after all, her previous life was in the 21st century of information explosion.

"Beep, moshi moshi (hello), I am Lin Rin (Rin's current external name), may I ask who is calling?"

"It's me." A clear female voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Hmm? Touko, this is quite rare. Is something wrong?"

"I plan to leave Misaki tomorrow to make the final preparations. How about it, can you see me off?" Touko said over the phone.

"Leave... preparations... Alright, I'd be delighted. Seven PM, come to Shinos. I'll reserve a table and wait for you, how does that sound?"

"Shinos? The legendary French restaurant that employs the Rose Group's Older Sister to wash dishes? Hmm, I'll definitely be there on time."

"That's enough... See you tonight. Beep." Rin hung up the phone, staring blankly at the black and white screen, at the faded name "Aozaki Touko."

The final preparations, huh... Aozaki Touko had stayed in Misaki City for these six months, but apart from occasionally meeting Rin, she hadn't met anyone else. She simply buried herself in the old school building in Misaki City, researching magic behind closed doors, or watching Aoko diligently train under Rin's guidance using long-distance viewing magic.

Six months passed so silently. Aoko, knowing she had arrived, searched for Touko's whereabouts several times but always returned empty-handed. After all, compared to Touko, Aoko was still too green.

To suddenly say she was leaving meant that the final moment had arrived. When she returned, it would be a life-or-death battle between the two sisters!

Seven PM, in front of the Shinos restaurant... It was still Aozaki Touko, the short-haired beauty in her leaf-green tight-fitting dress, wearing glasses. She got out of a taxi carrying a briefcase, looked up at the sign, paused for a moment, and then walked towards the restaurant door.

"Welcome! You must be Miss Touko." The smiling greeter who opened the door said.

"Hm? It's me."

"Then please come upstairs. Little Rin has already booked a room for you. Please go to the second floor, turn left, and it's the third room."

"Got it, thank you."

Refusing the waiter's offer to help with her luggage, Touko walked up to the second floor alone. The so-called rooms weren't all enclosed private rooms; the double room Rin booked was actually a large wooden frame with colorful beaded curtains and gauze drapes separating small spaces. The empty side facing out could be opened, and from the window, one could enjoy the night view of Misaki.

"Heh, this place isn't bad." Touko walked in and sat down, flipping through the menu on the table, scrutinizing each page. Just then, the voice of the server responsible for taking orders rang out: "Guest, may I take your order?"

"Hmm, huh?" Touko looked down at the menu, startled. Why did that voice sound a little familiar? She turned her head and saw Rin, dressed in a black and white waiter's uniform, holding a pen in one hand and a notepad in the other, standing to the side, winking at her with one big eye and a playful smile.

"Pfft!" Touko couldn't help but burst out laughing at Rin's appearance, saying, "What kind of act is this?"

"I'm an employee at Shinos, responsible for greeting and taking orders, there's nothing wrong with that, right? Who said I was just washing dishes here? Here, guest, please have some tea." As she spoke, Rin also took out the complimentary fruit tea from the shop and poured it for Touko, placing it in her hand.

Touko took it with a smile, looking Rin up and down, saying, "Hmm, don't tell me, it actually suits you surprisingly well. I didn't expect you could wear a formal uniform with such flair."

"Of course, this was specially tailored for me by the shop." Rin picked up her notepad again. "So, guest, have you decided what you'd like to order?"

"Hmm, then I'll have this, this, and this... and finally, a bottle of '56 Lafite."

"Snap!" The ballpoint pen directly met its demise in Rin's small hand, crushed to pieces. The cross mark on Rin's forehead could no longer be hidden. "Guest... are you sure you want to order like that?"

Damn it! Don't think you can be arrogant just because I said I'd treat you!

Touko smiled like a spring breeze and nodded. Rin turned her back and flipped through three pages of order records. Damn it, truffles, foie gras, caviar! She ordered whatever was expensive. Could they still be friends after this?!

"Please, please wait a moment."

Watching the gloomy Rin leave the room, Touko huffed like a Little Girl throwing a tantrum, muttering, "Expensive, is it more expensive than my dear sister's first kiss!"

"moshi moshi (hello), Shiroi? Can you transfer 5 million to my account right now? Yes, right now, hurry up..." In a deserted corner of Shinos, a loli in a waiter's uniform was huddled, making such a call.
