Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: Evil Tree, Large Garbage Dump

Having obtained this 'Book of Lucifer', Rias flipped through a few pages and then sneered.

"A low-end Magic Formula."

Despite saying that, Rias still dutifully read through the entire text, even looking over Rizevim's theoretical results.

High-end has its strengths, and low-end has its own theoretical directions.

The most important thing is not the result, but the direction.

After seeing this book, Rias had some ideas regarding her own future development.

In the original High School DxD, the organization established by Rizevim after the Chaos Brigade disbanded was called the 'Evil Tree' by him.

Reviving the Evil Dragons and using his own soul as a sacrifice to revive Beast Emperor 666—each of these was a major event.

The existence of such an organization was inevitable; if the Evil Tree hadn't truly threatened the other Pantheons, how could those Pantheons have truly banded together?

However, while the original Rizevim served the purpose of making the Pantheons band together, Rias prepared to create a trash can.

A super-sized trash can to attract the trash of various Pantheons and then dispose of them all together~

Besides, though not obvious, from the fact that divine positions in various Pantheons can be inherited, one can roughly understand that every divine position within a Pantheon exists to maintain the Pantheon's foundation.

One must know that the strength of the Angel faction was entirely supported by the God of the Bible; the Angels themselves did not have any 'Transcendent' beings.

As for other Pantheons, like Shiva—the top expert in the world besides Ophis—if he were to act, the Angels might not be able to hold out.

Why did no one attack Heaven to seize the System after the God of the Bible died?

There are many reasons. The first is that the other Pantheons were terrified by the God of the Bible and feared he might return from the dead—after all, that is the headlining performance in The Bible.

The Power of the three races—Angels, Devils, and Fallen Angels—is indeed strong, but lacking top-tier combat Power, they wouldn't be feared.

The Biblical Pantheon is the strongest in this world entirely because it was supported by the God of the Bible.

The second reason is equivalent to the mutual checks and balances between Pantheons.

The third reason is that the System maintains the operation of the Pantheon.

Pantheons are linked to the rules of the world. After the God of the Bible died, the Angels, Fallen Angels, Devils, and so on all deviated from their original trajectories.

Initially, Devils were defined as evil, but do today's Devils look even remotely evil?

If other Pantheons seized the System and caused chaos in the world's rules, dragging all Pantheons to their deaths... emmm, that is not impossible.

The System maintains the operation of the Biblical Pantheon, and as the largest Pantheon in the world, its collapse might lead to a chain reaction, causing a phenomenon like Ragnarok.

Although the concept isn't obvious, and low-end Devils and Fallen Angels don't think about the inherent meaning of the existence of races and Pantheons, it still exists.

The Evil Tree, because its pattern resembles an upside-down tree, has another name—

The Qliphoth Tree of Life!

In Rias's view, the Dragon God Level and those above it, even the Three Great Evil Gods, are actually still within the same grade because there is no essential difference between them, only a difference in Power magnitude.

Even including the Three Great Evil Gods, their essence might not even be as high as Rias's.

Because Rias has already condensed fragments of Power and is developing toward the direction of omnipotence.

If Rias wants to go further, she needs more than just an increase in Power, because that direction has a limit.

By continuing to delve deeper, she will eventually reach that limit.

What comes next is to open the domain of Omnipotence.

The so-called omnipotence: One is All, All is One.

This is the interpretation:

All things are interconnected.

Although 'All' is composed of countless 'Ones', in the end, 'All' forms a 'One'.

Cycling round and round, without end.

So, stated plainly, All is One, and One is All.

Using Chapter 42 of the Tao Te Ching, Laozi's cosmogony, it is:

The Tao gives birth to One, One gives birth to Two, Two gives birth to Three, and Three gives birth to all things.

As long as one understands the One, they can know all things.

Essentially, the Three-Digit domain of Omnipotence in the Little Garden a of 'Problem Children Are Coming from Another World??' falls within this scope.

As long as it's not a world like Little Garden where there are too many omnipotent figures, forming a paradox, every Three-Digit is omnipotent in their respective world.

Because they control the Power of 'Fire', Fire gives birth to Earth, Earth to Metal, Metal to Water, and Water to Wood, thereby gaining omniscient insight into the Five Elements.

Because they understand the Five Elements, they control Yin and Yang.

Because they control Yin and Yang, they control the 'One' that is the source, becoming omniscient and omnipotent.

That is roughly what the domain of Omnipotence is about.

To reach this step, in addition to a complete Power, one's own spiritual authority must reach Three-Digit.

And humans themselves cannot reach Three-Digit.

This applies to Rias as well; because this isn't Little Garden, whether it's Devils or Dragons, the limit is right before them.

To transcend limits, one must utilize grander and more magnificent concepts—that is, to gather concepts and form a conceptual universe, which is a clear, complete, omniscient, and omnipotent worldview.

The great Power controlled by a worldview, namely, constructing a Pantheon.

Using a Pantheon's worldview to control the world, constructing one's own 'world', and thus forming the Power to control the world.

If one can converge this Power, converging all concepts into oneself—that is, condensing the Power of the world onto oneself.

In this way, one can form total authority and reach the domain of total authority.

total authority, meaning all rights.

Using fire as a metaphor again.

Because one controls fire, they control the whole world, possessing omniscient and omnipotent Power.

If one can collect this Power, changing it from being 'in one's hands' to being 'one's self', they can reach the domain of total authority.

Briefly organizing the realm divisions from weak to strong:

Low-class Devil, Middle-Class Devil, High-Class Devil, Ultimate-Class, Devil King, Transcendents, Dragon God.

From High-Class Devil to High-Class Devil, it's just the application of energy, being able to slightly develop and apply some magical Power characteristics.

And the Ultimate-Class Devil is about pushing the manipulation of magical Power to the extreme.

The God-Devil level is about developing one's own magical Power characteristics and accumulating the amount of magical Power.

Until reaching beyond the Devil King, but not yet at the level of a Transcendent.

The Juggernaut Drive form, and the several artificial devils created by Hades in the original work that were beyond Devil King level but below Transcendent level.

According to Rias's speculation, the Devil King Falbium Asmodeus, the Underworld's strongest strategist who harbors the 'Absolute Defense' magical Power, falls within this range.

Years ago, even Sirzechs needed to use magical Power of equal quality to offset his Absolute Defense.

Then there is the Transcendent level; this level far exceeds the Devil King, where the development of magical Power characteristics has reached its limit, and what is developed next is the concept itself contained within the magical Power!
