Chapter 28 - Sheyaan’s Fearless Avatar :

The peaceful night at the restaurant was slowly fading away as if every moment was quietly moving forward its end

Everyone had spent quite some time there enjoying themselves. There was laughter, small jokes, and the atmosphere had remained light.

When it was finally time to leave, after paying the bill, everyone slowly began walking toward the exit. They were talking among themselves while walking ahead, but Zavian stayed behind.

His steps were slower, as if a deep conflict was running through his mind.

Zavian stopped on the path and called out softly,

"Sheyaan..."

Hearing his cold yet powerful voice, Sheyaan's steps immediately stopped. She turned back in surprise and saw Zavian standing there.

Quietly, he gestured for her to come closer. For a moment, Sheyaan hesitated as questions filled her mind, but then she slowly walked toward him.

She looked into his eyes and asked with a gentle smile,

"Tell me, … what happen!"

Zavian's face was as expressionless as ever, but there was a strange strength and seriousness in his eyes. Keeping his voice very low, he said,

"Sheyaan, when you go home, don't tell anyone anything… about what happened here with you just now. Stay completely silent about it."

Sheyaan listened to him, and an innocent smile spread across her face. Nodding softly, she said in a sweet tone,

"Hmm… alright, I won't tell anyone."

Zavian emphasized once again,

"Not even Fangxi. Ok"

Sheyaan looked into his eyes again and reassured him with a small smile,

"Okay, don't worry at all. I won't tell Fangxi anything either."

Between the two of them, a silent agreement had been made. a secret that now existed only between them.

When Zavian heard Sheyaan's words, he took a deep and quiet breath. Looking at him softly, Sheyaan said in a gentle tone,

"So... shall we leave now? I'm very tired."

Without saying anything, Zavian nodded, and the two of them walked toward the car. This time, when Sheyaan sat beside Zavian in the car, she didn't feel afraid at all.

When they were coming to the restaurant earlier, there had been a strange fear in her heart, but now everything felt different.

Being beside Zavian felt comforting to her, as if his presence itself gave her peace.

After a short drive, the car stopped near Sheyaan's house. With a smile, Younshu said,

"Sheyaan, we've reached your house."

Alisha stepped out of the car and cheerfully said,

"Come on, Sheyaan, we're here!"

Sheyaan got out of the car and looked at everyone with a sweet smile. She said,

"I had a lot of fun with all of you. Thank you for inviting me to your party. Now I'll take my leave. Bye-bye!"

Sheyaan was just about to turn when Alisha stopped her with a warm smile and said,

"Sheyaan, we'll meet again tomorrow for study. Bye-bye!"

Sheyaan replies.." Hmm ok!"

Sheyaan gave a small smile as well and said goodbye to them. As soon as Sheyaan started walking toward her house, Alisha sat back in the car and said to Younshu,

"Come on Younshu, we should leave now too."

But suddenly, the silence inside the car was broken by Zavian's flat and cold voice. In a very serious tone, he said,

"Wait... let Sheyaan go inside the house first."

Everyone stopped there and waited for Sheyaan to enter her house. Zavian's eyes were fixed on her every movement.

As soon as Sheyaan stepped inside the door of her house, they all finally drove away.

The moment Sheyaan stepped inside her house, a strange chill surrounded her. She noticed that half of the lights in the house were on while the others were off.

This strange scene filled her with both surprise and a little fear. She slowly started walking forward, her heart beating harder with every step.

Suddenly, her eyes fell on a shadow standing in the corner. Someone was standing hidden in the darkness, speaking in a heavy voice:

"The work must start after two days... otherwise, instead of that person, your death will be certain!"

Hearing this, Sheyaan's soul trembled. She was completely terrified, and it felt as if her feet had been glued to the ground.

THE moment Sheyaan heard that terrifying threat it felt as if the ground vanished beneath her feet fear gripped her heart.

instantly without looking back even once she rushed away and run upstairs toward her room the moment she stepped inside she quickly locked the door her hands trembling with fear.

She was so frightened that she didn't even have the courage to turn on the lights in her room. Although Sheyaan had always been afraid of the dark,

today the unknown enemy standing outside felt far more dangerous than the darkness itself. She stood behind the door, hiding, and began asking herself in a trembling voice:

"wh...who... whose voice was that? Who was it?"

From the tone of that voice, it was clear that the person wanted to kill someone. Sheyaan was still lost in these frightening thoughts when suddenly someone knocked loudly on her door.

"Knock! Knock! Knock!"

Hearing the sound of the knocking, Sheyaan froze in fear. Her heart felt as if it had jumped into her throat. Stammering in her thoughts, she began wondering,

"Wh...who could it be? Could that stranger... be here to kill me?"

Her mind started filling with all kinds of terrifying thoughts. Gathering some courage, she tried to look outside through the small peephole in the door.

At first, she couldn't see anyone there. But suddenly, someone passed by from the side, and Sheyaan's eyes fell on that person.

Her breath stopped right there...

As soon as Sheyaan looked outside through the peephole in the door, her soul trembled. She saw that the unknown man outside was holding a sharp knife in his hand, its blade faintly shining.

The moment she saw it, sweat appeared on Sheyaan's forehead and fear spread through her entire body. She quickly stepped away from the door and, in fear, tightly clutched her clothes.

"Whe...where is Fangxi? What is happening?" she whispered to herself in a trembling voice and tried to call Fangxi with her shaking hands.

The call had just started connecting when suddenly the door was knocked again loudly.

"Knock! Knock! Knock!"

The terrifying sound startled Sheyaan so much that the phone slipped from her hands and fell somewhere in the darkness. She desperately began searching for it on the floor,

but because of the darkness and her fear, she couldn't find it. The door kept being knocked again and again, as if the person outside was ready to break it down.

Every knock felt like a knife striking her heart. She began to cry and sobbed softly,

"Fangxi... where are you?"

Sheyaan quickly moved and crouched beside her bed. The sound of the knocking echoed throughout the entire room.

In that moment of terror, suddenly Zavian's words from the restaurant echoed in her ears:

"Sheyaan... the more you run from fear, the more it will chase you..."

Sheyaan was alone in the dark room, her whole body trembling with fear. But in the middle of that terror, Zavian's words suddenly echoed in her mind. Thinking about it, she stammered to herself,

"Sho...should I... listen to what he said?"

Zavian's words kept echoing in her ears like a lesson.

Her breathing was heavy because of fear, but then Sheyaan touched the chain tied around her hand, the one Zavian had given her.

Although the room was completely dark and she couldn't see the chain, she could feel it. Holding it tightly with all her strength, she whispered in her heart,

"Please help me..."

Sheyaan decided that she would not just sit there in fear. She stood up from the side of the bed and started searching around in the darkness with her hands.

While searching, her hands touched a bedsheet. She quickly picked it up, and then she found another one. She tied both bedsheets together with a strong knot.

Holding the tied sheets, she moved a little away from the door. There were two drawers placed on both sides of the door.

Carefully, Sheyaan tied the bedsheets to those drawers and pulled them slightly back so that it would become a trap for whoever entered the room.

Then she picked up a vase that was placed nearby and, in a trembling voice, prayed to God,

"Please God, help me..."

Sheyaan held her breath. As soon as she slowly opened the door, the creaking sound of it echoed through the entire room. She immediately hid behind the door and steadied her heart.

The unknown person, who had a sharp knife in his hand, slowly stepped into Sheyaan's room.

The darkness was so deep that he could not see anything clearly. But as soon as he tried to move forward, his foot got badly tangled in the bedsheet that Sheyaan had tied.

He lost his balance and suddenly fell hard onto the floor. The sharp knife in his hand and a few other things also fell down with him. A painful scream escaped from his mouth,

"Aaahhh!"

Sheyaan realized that this was her chance. Without wasting a moment, she used all her strength and struck the heavy vase directly onto the man's head. Once again, a terrified scream came from him,

"Aaahhh!"

The man groaned in pain and tried to get up again. But Sheyaan was not going to stop now.

She quickly twisted both of his hands behind his back and pressed her knee hard into his waist so that he couldn't move.

With anger and courage in her voice, she said,

"Hey! How dare you come here to kill me? I won't spare you, you bastard!"

The man was just about to say something,

"Hey... wha... what—"

But before he could finish, Sheyaan quickly removed the scarf from around her neck and skillfully tied his mouth and both of his hands tightly.

She had completely overpowered the attacker.

Sheyaan had tightly pinned the attacker down. Her voice roared with anger.

"How dare you, you bastard, enter my house? Do you even know who I am… and what I can do to you right now? Just wait… I'll show you!"

The man struggled desperately to escape from Sheyaan's grip, but she ignored him completely.

She picked up the sharp knife that had fallen on the floor and grabbed his hair roughly, pulling his head up.

Staring straight into his eyes, she said coldly,

"I know… your boss sent you here to kill me, didn't he? I won't spare you."

Sheyaan's anger was completely out of control now. She started beating the man with her hands and feet.

The room echoed with the sounds of struggle, and the man could only make muffled noises,

"Umm… Umm…!"

Her rage had reached its peak.

"So you came here to kill me, right?"

she shouted again.

"Tonight you're not leaving this place alive. Do you understand?"

At that same moment, Lucy had just stepped out of her room and was heading toward the kitchen when she suddenly heard Sheyaan shouting loudly.

Lucy stopped and frowned.

"What's wrong with her now?"

Muttering under her breath, she quickly ran toward Sheyaan's room and entered.

But the room was completely dark. Lucy couldn't see anything clearly. Nervously, she immediately turned on the flashlight on her phone.

The moment the light spread across the room, the moment lucy saw the scence in front of her she froze in shock her eyes widened in disbelief and she suddenly screamed.

"Hey...!!"
