The relentless knocking at the door completely shook Sheyaan fear rooted her to the spot.
Leaving her unable to gather the courage. To even take a step forward and see who was outside
The heavy silence in the room was finally broken by Zavian's deep voice:
"Sheyaan… go open the door..and see who it is!"
he said in a low but firm tone.
Hearing him, Sheyaan didn't reply. She simply pouted and slowly got off the bed.
Her heart was still pounding loudly in her chest. She adjusted her slightly messed-up clothes and began walking toward the door with hesitant steps.
An uneasy silence filled the entire room. With every step she took,
her fear seemed to grow stronger. Still, she paused for a moment and glanced back at Zavian.
He was sitting there just as before—calm, composed, and watching her intently, as if the situation didn't bother him at all.
Taking a deep breath, Sheyaan tried to steady herself. Then, with trembling hands, she reached for the door and slowly began to open it.
The worry and fear on Sheyaan's face were impossible to miss. As she slowly opened the.
door with trembling hands, the moment she saw who was standing there, she froze in shock.
In a low, shaken voice, she asked,
"yo..you… what are you doing here.. at this hour?"
The person at the door was none other than Chan. He held a water bottle in his hand,
and his usual stern expression seemed slightly different tonight. In a calm tone, he said,
"Uh… sorry, I didn't mean to.. wake you this late."
There was something odd about the faint smile on his face—something that immediately made Sheyaan uneasy. Narrowing her eyes slightly, she asked firmly,
"What do you.. want? And why are you here... so late?"
Hearing that, Chan gave a strangely forced smile and replied,
"Nothing, really… I was just passing by and heard.. voices coming from your room. So I knocked, just to make sure... you're okay.!"
For a split second, Sheyaan's heart stopped. Did he hear Zavian's voice?
She quickly composed herself and said gently, trying to sound normal,
"No… I was just studying. Maybe you heard me..reading out loud."
Chan nodded with a small smile.
"Oh… I see. Alright then, I'll.. leave."
Sheyaan let out a quiet breath of relief and started to close the door—but suddenly,
Chan pushed his hand against it, stopping it from shutting. Her breath caught once again…
Chan grabbed the door firmly refusing to let it close he sudden move startled Sheyaan.
And with a trembling voice, she asked.
"wha...what now?!"
Seeing how uneasy she was, a strange, knowing smile appeared on his lips. Holding out the water bottle, he asked,
"Do you want... some water?"
Without thinking, Sheyaan immediately refused,
"No! I don't..need it!"
Chan looked at her carefully, as if trying to read the truth hidden behind her face. Then, in a calm yet oddly soft tone, he said,
"Alright… no problem."
With that, he finally stepped back and walked away. Sheyaan quickly shut the door and locked it, letting out a breath of relief.
But she had no idea—the real danger had just begun.
Walking down the corridor, Chan wore a faint, unsettling smile. Under his breath, he whispered,
"My job is done… now, slowly, everything will come.. to light—with that hidden camera. Foolish girl… she didn't even realize.. it."
The moment he had stopped the door earlier, he had swiftly placed a tiny hidden camera on the door frame.
Completely unaware of the trap, Sheyaan thought everything was fine.
Meanwhile, Chan walked back to his room, satisfied—knowing that now, every move of Sheyaan and her "secret guest," Zavian, was within his control.
Chan entered his room, turned off the lights, and sat down on his bed in complete darkness.
The only glow came from his laptop screen, which was playing a live video feed from Sheyaan's room.
A sinister smile spread across his face—this was exactly what he had planned for.
Meanwhile, Sheyaan sat on her bed, lost in deep thought. Her hand rested under her chin, and a faint uneasiness showed in her eyes.
She kept thinking about Chan—his sudden knock, his strange behavior… something about it didn't feel right.
Just then.
Zavian quietly stepped in through the balcony. Seeing her so lost, he walked closer and asked in his usual cold tone,
"What happened? Who was at the... door?"
But Sheyaan didn't respond. She was so lost in her thoughts that she hadn't even heard him. She just stared ahead, completely still.
Seeing this, Zavian's patience began to wear thin. He stepped closer and stood right in front of her.
Gently, he tapped her head with his finger and said in a firm but calm voice,
"Sheyaan… where are you lost? I've been asking you... something."
A gentle tap from Zavian's finger pulled Sheyaan out of her thoughts.
Slowly she lowered her hand from her chin and looked at him Speaking in a soft quite voice,
"Chan was.. outside… and he was acting really.. strange."
The moment she said that, Zavian's expression shifted slightly. A flicker of surprise crossed his face—
he hadn't expected Chan to show up at her room this late at night.
He paused for a moment, thinking carefully, then said calmly,
"It's fine… don't overthink it. We'll talk about this.. tomorrow."
Sheyaan gave a small nod.
"Okay…"
Zavian then added in his usual cold tone,
"I should..leave now. You can study tomorrow… just get some.. rest."
Sheyaan nodded again, silently.
Meanwhile, in his dark room, Chan sat staring at his laptop screen.
The live feed from Sheyaan's room was still playing, and through his headphones, he was listening to every word.
His mind was racing with questions. Under his breath, he muttered,
"What is..he doing there… at this hour? Doesn't he have a place of.. his own? Why is he always here? Who even.. is he…?"
Just as Chan was trying to piece everything together, his laptop battery suddenly dropped low. The screen flickered…
And then—
It shut down completely.Just like that, the opportunity slipped right out of his hands.
The moment the laptop shut down, Chan snapped in frustration. Trying to turn it back on, he muttered angrily,
"What the hell.. happened now?! Looks like I'll have to charge.. it… I completely forgot to plug..it in today!"
Irritated, he connected the charger, tossed his headphones onto the side table, and lay down on the bed.
But even then, his mind refused to rest—he was still trying to piece together the mystery of Zavian and Sheyaan.
Meanwhile, in her room, Sheyaan sat quietly, lost in sadness. Zavian had just turned to leave after calming her down… when suddenly, she stood up.
Something inside her felt restless—like she didn't want him to go.
In a soft, trembling voice, she called out,
"Zayan…!"
Hearing his name spoken with such warmth and closeness, Zavian froze mid-step. It had been a long time since anyone had called him like that.
He slowly turned back, his deep, unreadable gaze locking onto her.
For a moment… time seemed to stop.
His silence, and her sad eyes… together, they spoke a story neither of them said out loud.
Sheyaan met Zavian's gaze her eyes steady a quiet seriousness. had taken over her expression.
The kind that appears just before a storm breaks in a soft yet heavy voice. She said.
"I… I don't... feel right!"
The moment she said it, her eyes filled with tears, and they began to fall.
Seeing her like this, even Zavian's hardened heart softened. He stepped closer and gently asked,
"What happened? Why are you... crying?"
Through her tears, Sheyaan looked at him and said in a fragile, almost pleading voice,
"Can… can you stay with me... tonight?"
For a moment, Zavian went still. He looked at her carefully—at her innocent yet deeply troubled expression.
Then, slowly, he reached out and gently wiped the tears from her cheeks.
In a calm, soft tone, he said,
"You're crying over something...so small? I'll stay… I'm right here.. with you."
His words felt like comfort to her. She looked at him again, as if trying to be sure he really meant it.
Zavian added quietly,
"Now go to sleep… it's already very...late."
Sheyaan nodded slightly and lay down on the bed without another word.
Zavian didn't leave. He pulled a chair from the study table and sat beside her.
He stayed there… watching over her, so she could feel safe.
Seeing Zavian sitting on the chair, something softened in Sheyaan's heart. She gently pointed toward the bed and said in a soft voice,
"You should come.. here too… sitting on that chair all night.. will just make your.. body ache."
Zavian paused, a little surprised by her words. For a moment, he glanced around, as if unsure whether to accept that quiet invitation.
Then, without saying anything, he stood up and moved to the other side of the bed, lying down carefully.
He rested one arm under his head and stared up at the ceiling. After a moment, he turned his head slightly toward her and said gently,
"Now go..to sleep…"
A faint, peaceful smile appeared on Sheyaan's lips. She closed her eyes… and within moments, drifted into a deep sleep.
Watching her fall asleep, Zavian turned onto his side, facing her. His gaze lingered on her innocent face, studying it quietly.
In his mind, a thought surfaced—
"Why is this girl..always so afraid…?"
But then, suddenly, Chan crossed his mind.
The softness in his expression slowly faded replaced by a sharp seriousness.
A hint of suspicion flickered in his eyes as he thought to himself
"Why did he...come here at this hour…? What is he really up... to…?"
