Chapter 30 Entering the Base, Supplies
Chapter 30 Entering the Base, Supplies
Su Jinjin revealed a sly smile: "Who said we were going to attack from the front?"
She pointed to the setting sun, "It's almost dark. We just need to soften a section of the wall and let those wild parasitic monsters lead the charge for us..."
Lin Xia and Lin Tian widened their eyes upon hearing Su Jinjin's words, completely surprised that such a thing could be done.
"But...but those monsters attack us too!" Lin Tian stammered.
Su Jinjin took out several bottles of mineral water from her spatial storage: "The parasites are afraid of water. We can use Xia Yu's ability to control airflow to turn the water into mist and create a temporary barrier. Once they and the guards are both exhausted, we can go in and pick up the scraps."
Lin Xia gasped, her gaze towards Su Jinjin now filled with awe.
This plan may be crazy, but it might actually work.
She bit her lip, then finally nodded: "I know of a section of the wall in a blind spot of the surveillance cameras, right on the west side of the base..."
As night fell completely, the three figures moved through the ruins like ghosts.
Lin Xia's hands trembled slightly, but she still firmly controlled the airflow, turning the water in the mineral water bottle into a fine mist, forming a flowing protective shield around the three of them.
The water droplets shimmered in the moonlight, like a hazy veil.
"This protective shield won't last long," Lin Xia said in a low voice, beads of sweat already forming on her forehead. "We must finish this quickly."
Su Jinjin nodded, took out the sonic vibration gun from her spatial storage, and activated the detection mode.
The scan results on the screen made her gasp.
The entire base, inside and out, was covered with countless red dots, so many that they were comparable to the number of parasitic nests they had previously destroyed.
"Damn it..." she cursed inwardly, "There are more monsters here than I imagined."
Lin Tian swallowed nervously, his fingers unconsciously rubbing the ground: "Sister, do we really have to do this?"
Lin Xia didn't answer, but gritted her teeth and reinforced the water mist shield with another layer.
She must destroy this evil base.
Su Jinjin took a deep breath and cheered herself up: After this job, I won't have to worry about supplies anymore, and I can stay peacefully until the mission is over.
She winked at Lin Tianshi: "Now, soften that section of the wall!"
Lin Tian pressed his hands to the ground, and the ground began to ripple like water.
The concrete wall gradually became as soft as putty, and with a strong pull, it eventually revealed a gap large enough for a person to pass through.
Almost at the same moment, a piercing alarm sounded throughout the base.
The searchlight beams swept wildly, illuminating the entire area as if it were daytime.
Even more terrifying, the disturbed parasitic monsters began to stir, emitting chilling roars.
"Quick! Go in!" Su Jinjin rushed into the gap first, her sonic gun ready to fire at any moment.
Lin Xia pulled her younger brother close behind, and the water mist shield fluctuated violently as it passed through the wall, almost collapsing.
The interior of the base was even more terrifying than I had imagined.
The room Su Jinjin entered had transparent cultivation chambers on both sides, filled with various modified parasites.
Some still retain a human form, while others have completely transformed into monsters.
Most alarmingly, several culture chambers had been broken, and viscous culture fluid had spilled all over the floor.
"Head towards the warehouse!" Lin Xia pointed to the right-hand passage, her voice trembling slightly with fear. "The supplies should be stored there..."
Su Jinjin looked at this parasitic monster, which was clearly artificially cultivated, and her heart was filled with anger.
One can imagine the despair of those who were experimented on and used as breeding grounds for parasitic bloodworms.
Su Jinjin took out two bombs from her backpack.
Pull the safety latch off and throw it into the room.
Suddenly, heavy footsteps came from around the corner ahead.
A modified parasitic variant, standing two meters tall, appeared before the three of them.
This parasitic variant wears a controlled electronic shackle around its neck.
But the head has completely mutated, resembling a blooming flower of flesh and blood.
"Back off!" Su Jinjin raised the sonic gun, but heard rustling sounds behind her.
More monsters are pouring in through the gap they came in through.
The three stood back to back.
Just at this critical moment, the bomb that Su Jinjin threw exploded.
A series of explosions suddenly came from deep within.
The ceiling began to collapse.
Everyone was drawn to the sound of the explosion.
"An opportunity!" Su Jinjin grabbed their wrists. "Let's rush in amidst the chaos!"
Using the explosion as cover, the three rushed deeper into the base.
Chaos erupted at the base due to the explosion.
Those parasitic variants that were not yet under control began to emerge.
Chaos spread rapidly within the base.
Explosions and the roars of parasitic monsters rose and fell.
Thanks to the water mist shield maintained by Lin Xia, ordinary parasitic variants dared not easily approach the three of them.
They seized the opportunity, quickly made their way through the chaotic corridor, and arrived at the military's supply depot.
"Here!" Lin Tian exclaimed softly, placing his hands on the heavy metal door.
Under his power, the sturdy metal door gradually softened, eventually turning into a rubber-like texture.
The three quickly crawled inside. Lin Tian immediately canceled his ability, and the metal door instantly hardened, blocking the parasitic variants that were chasing after them.
"We succeeded!" Lin Xia breathed a sigh of relief, a look of joy on her face. "The entire base was in chaos."
Su Jinjin remained vigilant: "Don't be too happy yet. It's so chaotic outside, we won't be able to get out anytime soon." She looked around, "Let's check the supplies first."
The warehouse was filled with various military supplies:
Boxes of canned goods, compressed biscuits, and bottled water are neatly stacked on the shelves.
There were also medical supplies in the corner.
What pleased Su Jinjin the most was the discovery of three generators here, all powered by gasoline and extremely quiet.
"This is a good thing," Su Jinjin said, taking it directly.
On the other side, Lin Xia and Lin Tian immediately sprang into action, grabbing their backpacks and stuffing supplies inside.
They moved swiftly, afraid of missing anything useful.
In contrast, Su Jinjin appeared calm and composed.
After storing the generator in her spatial storage, she strolled leisurely among the shelves, and while the two weren't paying attention, she quietly stored a large quantity of canned goods and compressed biscuits into her storage space.
Because the room was filled with a lot of supplies, Su Jinjin collected them from all over the place. Boxes of supplies disappeared from her fingertips without any change in appearance, so Lin Xia and her brother didn't notice anything unusual at all.
"This is enough for us to eat for a month!" Lin Tian said excitedly, holding a pile of canned food.
Lin Xia: "Yes, as long as we leave this base and hide somewhere, we can wait for the dungeon survival mission to end. Then we can go home."
Su Jinjin was also dressed up and carrying a backpack to collect items.
While using the sonic oscillator gun, observe the surrounding red dots.
But then a problem was discovered.
All the red dots are heading in one direction.
