"What is happening…" Princess muttered under her breath. I watched the water as it began to swirl around our ankles, covering our feet in a cold, steady rush.
This was unexpectedly strange. My brain was trying to make sense of it, but nothing clicked. How in the world was there this much water inside a hotel room on the 7th floor? It wasn't like a pipe had burst; it felt more deliberate. Was this some kind of sick prank? It definitely wasn't like this when we first entered the room and Princess was busy tapping the bed.
We waded out into the hallway, and my heart sank. There was water pooling across the entire floor, reflecting the dim overhead lights in long, wavy lines. It was everywhere.
One by one, the doors clicked open. Everyone started coming out of their rooms, staring down at the floor with wide, confused eyes.
"What is this? How is this even possible?" someone yelled from down the hall.
