Lucrezia furrowed her brows at Gavin, wondering why he was so curious about where Maverick was.
"I...don't know?" She said, more to herself than to him.
Her gaze returned to the maid who seemed just as confused as she was and they exchanged a questioning look.
Gavin appeared slightly restless as he groaned again, clutching his belly once more.
This time, Lucrezia didn't ask him.
Moving closer to where he sat, she placed her hand on his chest, causing him to stare at her in confusion. Before he could even understand what she was trying to do, he found himself lying flat on the bed with his back on the foam.
He winced when the pain hit again from the sudden exertion and had to pass Lucrezia a surprised stare, shocked that she had pulled such a move.
"You will need to lie and stay still while I give you the painkillers." She said, resetting her eyes on the tray where the painkiller was.
It was a dosage of tramadol as that was the easiest thing they could get access to.
