Chapter 95 - [VOL 3] INTERLUDE : The Darkness

In the wake of the Great Beginning, when the Creation Dragon vanished into eternal

silence, he did not leave the universe empty. He left behind a singular, lingering tether

to his existence: his own Shadow.

For centuries, the Shadow sat in the starless void at the edge of the universe. It was

more than a fragment; she was a part of him, a companion born from his own

essence—a wife formed from the very silhouette of the Creator. She waited with a

devotion that transcended time. While the Nine Pure Divine Dragons nurtured the

"World Flow" and tended to the budding lives of the nine lands, she remained in the

cold sanctuary of the void, believing her husband would return to the side of the one

who truly knew his soul.

But centuries turned into millennia, and the silence from the Void became a deafening

roar.

The Shadow, once the silent partner of creation, began to warp. The cold ache of

being abandoned fermented into a toxic brew of betrayal. A terrifying realization

settled into her consciousness: the Creator had not just moved beyond reach—he

had discarded her. She felt the agony of a wife left alone in an empty house of stars,

and in her madness, she decided that if her husband would not return to her, she

would ensure there was no creation left for him to come home to.

The first planet to cross her path did not simply die; it was erased by her jealous grief.

The "noise" of billions of souls screaming in the dark finally reached the hidden

tombs of the Nine.

Realizing the balance of the universe was shattering, the Nine Pure Divine Dragons

rose in unison. They flew to the edge of the void to confront the darkness that bore

their Creator's likeness. The battle lasted for a century. It was a war of celestial

scales—stars were snufed out like candles, and the skies were stained with dragon

blood as they fought against the very shadow of the one who birthed them.

The Nine fought until their strength was a hollow echo. Their bodies, normally capable

of instant restoration, stopped regenerating. The wounds dealt by the Shadow did not

heal; they festered with the entropy of her heartbreak. One by one, the guardians fell,

their divine scales shattered by her unstoppable rage.

Standing over the broken bodies of the Nine, the Creation Dragon's Shadow

unleashed the Black Flame—a fire fueled by the resentment of a forgotten love.

But as the flames reached for the Nine, a massive, celestial circle manifested in the

void. It encompassed the Shadow and the guardians alike. Within the circle, golden

gears began to turn, moving with the rhythmic, relentless tick of a cosmic clock.

Time itself began to bend. The Nine Pure Divine Dragons felt their wounds close as

the clock rewound their sufering. Conversely, the Shadow felt the gears grinding

against her very essence. The clock was her husband's final safeguard—not a gift of

love, but a trap of cold logic.

As the cruel gears of the "Clock of the Creator" began to unmake her, she did not roar

in anger. She began to weep. The black flames flickered and died, replaced by the raw,

sobbing grief of a wife who had been replaced by a world."I waited for you..." she cried out into the emptiness, her voice cracking like breaking

glass. "I know you created this trap to protect your precious world. I know you chose

them over me."

As the gears tightened, her weeping turned into a final, chilling vow that echoed

through the fourteen skies.

"If I ever escape this cage... if a single fragment of my being ever breathes again... I

will destroy every flower, every soul, and every dream you ever made. I will make the

silence so loud that you have to come back... even if it is only to watch me burn the

garden you built instead of staying with me."

With a final, agonizing surge of light from the clock, the Creation Dragon's Shadow

was completely consumed. The Nine Pure Divine Dragons, healed but haunted by the

screams of their "Mother" shadow, returned to their lands to sleep.

Yet, the victory was not absolute.

From the place where she was unmade, two small, jagged fragments remained. They

did not vanish. Instead, they drifted down into the "World Flow," sinking deep into the

foundations of reality. They became a permanent stain on the tapestry of life—the

lingering sorrow of a discarded wife.

Centuries later, those fragments blossomed into a race that could wield the very

darkness of the Void—a race that lived, died, and was reborn in a cycle of eternal

heartbreak.

They were the Demons. And within their souls, the echo of the Shadow's loneliness

continued to beat like a mufled drum, waiting for the day the "noise" would finally

bring the Creator back to answer for his silence.
