Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Support Zhan Kong and Kill the Winged Cang Wolf!

Wang Feng looked at the simple and honest junior schoolmate with the Plunder talent before him, and his heart was filled with emotion.

He never expected that a junior who had just awakened Light magic, with only three Star Dusts under her control, would possess such a heaven-defying innate talent.

"Senior, what's wrong? Am I beyond saving?" The young girl panicked when she saw Wang Feng's complex expression, her voice trembling slightly.

Wang Feng was a renowned miracle doctor in Bo City. Every expression and every word of his carried weight, enough to make anyone nervous.

"No, your body is very healthy. Don't worry," Wang Feng quickly smiled, regaining his composure.

He continued warmly, "Work hard on your cultivation—your future is limitless."

Hearing this, the junior let out a breath of relief, her lips curling into a grateful smile.

"Thank you, Senior! I will definitely work hard!"

Wang Feng nodded, watching her leave, but his heart was far from calm.

The Plunder talent—absorbing an opponent's magical energy and demonic power—was simply tailor-made to extend his endurance!

With this ability, his combat strength and stamina would take a qualitative leap!

Just then, Ye Xinxia hurried over, her face full of worry.

Her anxious eyes scanned the crowd until she spotted Wang Feng standing safe and sound. Only then did she let out a relieved breath.

"Brother Wang Feng!" she called softly, her voice filled with both urgency and comfort.

"Xinxia, how are things? Aunt Mo Qing and the others are safe?" Wang Feng asked with genuine concern.

"Yes, Aunt Mo and Uncle are well." Ye Xinxia nodded.

Thanks to Wang Feng's earlier warning, Mo Qing and her husband had avoided Snow Peak Mountain these past few days.

When the blood-red alert sounded, both she and Mo Qing were already inside the inner city. They had escaped disaster.

"However…" Ye Xinxia's voice wavered. "I don't know how Brother Mo Fan and Uncle Mo are doing now."

"They'll be fine." Wang Feng reached out and gently patted her head, his tone reassuring.

By his estimation, Mo Fan should be arriving in Bo City's inner city soon, while Mo Jiaxing had already departed the city for distant trade routes.

They shouldn't be in immediate danger.

"Xinxia," Wang Feng said softly, "you stay here. I need to go out for a while."

Although he had stopped the Violent Rain, the true disaster wouldn't end unless the Winged Cang Wolf was slain or driven away.

Zhan Kong alone likely couldn't handle it. Wang Feng intended to lend him a hand.

"Ah? Brother Wang Feng, you're going out again? It's so dangerous outside!" Ye Xinxia grabbed his sleeve, her eyes brimming with worry.

Though she hadn't seen it herself, she had heard the fleeing townsfolk's terrified descriptions.

The one-eyed demon wolves were everywhere, hunting humans without mercy.

Corpses were mutilated beyond recognition. The scene was a nightmare made real.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'm still looking forward to that birthday gift you're preparing for me~" Wang Feng said gently.

Ye Xinxia bit her lip, struggling inwardly. She knew his character well—once Wang Feng decided, no one could stop him.

At last, she whispered, "Then… you must come back safely."

"Mm. I promise you."

Wang Feng smiled, gave her hand a reassuring pat, and turned toward Bo City's outer barrier.

At the same time.

In the shadowed heart of Bo City.

Zhan Kong's sharp eyes locked onto the Silver Trade Building.

That enormous black figure squatted atop the skyscraper, commanding its wolf cubs to ravage the land without restraint.

Every moment of destruction hammered Zhan Kong's chest like a weight of steel.

"All generals, heed my command!" Zhan Kong's voice boomed, like thunder splitting the heavens.

"Yes, sir!"

The Intermediate Level military mages behind him responded in unison, their voices fierce, their presence chilling the air.

"Slay the Winged Cang Wolf—fight to the death!"

"Slay the Winged Cang Wolf—fight to the death!"

Their cries tore through the night, nine loyal warriors standing firm, each word carrying a vow of unyielding determination.

Zhan Kong stepped forward. His teal trench coat whipped in the violent wind, like a war banner unfurling.

Then—he leapt from the high observation deck, diving like an eagle.

Whoosh—!

Wind howled, and a pair of teal wings unfurled behind him, carrying him through the storm like lightning itself.

Behind him, nine figures followed.

Their white Skyhawks spread their mighty wings, carrying their riders like nine arrows streaking through the clouds toward the Silver Trade Building.

At the top, the Winged Cang Wolf glared at the approaching humans.

Its cold, feral eyes burned with hatred and disdain, as if these warriors were nothing but ants.

"Roooar—!!"

Its deafening growl shook the city. The beast's colossal tail swept out, whipping up a storm so violent it seemed to tear apart the very sky.

The storm raged toward Zhan Kong and his men like a wall of destruction.

"Dodge!" Zhan Kong commanded sharply, leading his Skyhawk into evasive maneuvers.

But the storm was too vast, too swift. One unfortunate mage was caught at the edge. His body flung away violently, tumbling from hundreds of meters above the ground.

"Oh no!" Zhan Kong's expression darkened, his heart sinking.

At that height, even an Intermediate mage had no hope of survival. The Skyhawks couldn't dive fast enough. The man's fate seemed sealed.

Zhan Kong clenched his teeth, helpless.

The Winged Cang Wolf was watching him closely, ready to strike the instant he showed weakness. If he moved to save the soldier, they might all perish.

The other mages' faces hardened with grief. They could only mourn their comrade silently.

But then—something miraculous happened!

The falling soldier didn't crash to the ground. Instead, he landed in a mass of shimmering water that cushioned his body, slowing the deadly fall.

"Huh—?" The soldier froze in shock.

Before he could react further, the water twisted and transformed into a dark blue arrow, streaking through the night with a piercing whistle—aimed straight at the Winged Cang Wolf!
