The next morning.
After Wang Feng and Lingling finished the breakfast carefully prepared by the Victoria family, Irene arrived.
Today, she wore a tailored riding outfit: the top cut slim, trimmed with delicate lace and narrow fur at the neckline and cuffs, and a floor-length A-line skirt below, with simple, elegant lines.
The ensemble highlighted her aristocratic grace while radiating competence and heroism.
"Did you both rest well last night?" Irene asked with a smile.
"Very well, thank you for your hospitality," Wang Feng replied, his gaze lingering on her outfit.
Lingling nodded. "Breakfast was delicious too, thank you!"
"That's good," Irene said, then continued, "Now that you're ready, let's head to the dragon egg warehouse. I hope you'll find eggs you like."
"Thank you," Wang Feng replied.
As they followed Irene, Wang Feng suddenly asked, "Ms. Irene, did you not get enough rest last night?"
Irene paused, curious. "How did you notice? Do I have dark circles?"
"No, it's just that I sensed some fatigue from you," Wang Feng explained.
"I see," Irene smiled faintly. "Actually, I didn't rest at all. I spent the entire night discussing Dragon Valley matters with my family elders. I'm sorry if I embarrassed you."
"Oh? Do you need me to 'heal' you? My ability can relieve fatigue and restore energy," Wang Feng offered.
"Oh? You have that talent?" Irene's eyes lit up with interest.
Wang Feng smiled, raising his hand. A soft Healing Light enveloped her, flowing warmth into her body and dispelling her fatigue.
At the same time, a dark golden prompt box appeared in front of him:
[Red Dragon Bloodline]: Vitality greatly increased, affinity with dragons enhanced. You can command wild dragons (miscellaneous and pseudo-dragons) with bloodlines inferior to yours.
"Holy… Red Dragon Bloodline!" Wang Feng's eyes widened in shock, quickly hiding his surprise.
He recalled that King Arthur was said to be the incarnation of a Red Dragon, leading the British people to end the reign of evil dragons.
He had thought it a legend—but Irene actually possessed this trait, or rather, this physique!
Now Wang Feng understood the secret of the Victoria family's dragon taming.
No wonder they were the only family capable of taming dragons—they had Red Dragon blood flowing in their veins!
"Thank you, Wang Feng," Irene said, her eyes sincere.
"You're welcome. And please, no honorifics. Just call me Wang Feng," he said.
"Okay, then I'll just call you Irene, as my friends do," she replied with a faint smile.
"Okay, Irene," he answered.
They arrived at a large door carved from an unknown magical crystal, engraved with complex forbidden runes that exuded a mysterious and ancient aura.
"Grandpa Sean, I'm bringing a distinguished guest to select a dragon egg. Here's the pass issued by the family," Irene said, handing a purple certificate to the old man seated by the door.
Sean opened his eyes, smiling kindly. "Little Irene, if you want to bring someone in, just tell me. Why bother with credentials?"
"Rules must be followed, Grandpa Sean. How are you feeling lately?" Irene asked.
"Same as always. Seems it won't be long before I need to choose a cemetery," Sean replied with a light smile.
"Don't say that. You still have to see me married!" Irene pouted, looking like a playful child, her noble aura momentarily gone.
Sean chuckled. "Alright, I'll hold on until little Irene finds her ideal husband."
Remembering Wang Feng's healing ability, Irene turned to him. "Wang Feng, could you help Grandpa Sean?"
"It's an honor," Wang Feng said, secretly thrilled. Not only would he learn about the Red Dragon Bloodline, but he also had the chance to obtain a transcendental gift!
Seven milky-white star maps appeared behind him, forming an Aquarius constellation.
"Aquarius Starlight!"
"Don't bother, even Parthenon couldn't solve this…" Sean began, but Wang Feng's high-level healing magic had already taken effect.
In an instant, Sean's exhaustion faded, replaced by a surge of vitality.
Another dark golden prompt appeared:
[The Third Contract]: Transcendental power; an additional contract slot is generated.
"I hit the jackpot!" Wang Feng thought.
Normal summoning mages require super-level status to unlock a second contract.
Wang Feng's current system now allowed three contract positions (Qinglong occupying one). Sean's extraordinary power had enabled this extra slot.
"Grandpa Sean, how are you feeling?" Irene asked.
"This…" Sean looked at Wang Feng in disbelief.
"Is this… your friend?" he asked.
"Yes. His name is Wang Feng, from China," Irene replied.
"Young man, I'm optimistic about you~" Sean said meaningfully, leaving Wang Feng momentarily speechless.
"Alright, you two may go in and select the dragon eggs," Sean said, standing and placing a hand on the magic crystal door.
With a flash, the door slowly opened.
"Wang Feng, Lingling, let's go. Don't be too surprised~" Irene said, taking their wrists and leading them inside.
Beyond the barrier, dozens of dragon eggs of various sizes and colors were neatly displayed on special incubation racks.
Some emitted faint glows; others bore intricate patterns on their shells. The room was thick with life energy, as if each egg were breathing, waiting to break free from its shell.
