Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The True Genius

Swish!

Another strike was swung.

A seemingly non-fatal wound appeared on the Amegakure Ninja's leg.

He should have been able to dodge Yuji's sudden attack.

But for some reason, his limbs stiffened at the crucial moment.

"That kid's blade..."

The Amegakure Ninja narrowed his eyes.

The scalpel in the young man's hand was extremely thin, easy to conceal, yet unusually sharp.

Being wounded by a Genin again made the Amegakure Ninja lose face, and his expression was furious.

However, Yuji did not press the attack.

Instead, he immediately turned and leaped toward his injured comrade lying on the ground far away, flashing over and picking him up.

"Hmm?"

Only then did the Amegakure Ninja realize something was wrong.

The stiff, numb feeling in his body was getting increasingly worse.

"It's poison..."

The Amegakure Ninja's pupils contracted.

If you talk about the entire Ninja World, the Hidden Sand Village is generally the one most skilled in using poison.

Although Hanzou of their Hidden Rain Village is also an expert at using poison, especially the Ninjutsu performed in conjunction with the Black Salamander, which even the Konohas Three Legendary Sannin couldn't resist—his methods are renowned throughout the Ninja World. But ultimately, he is just one formidable person, while Sunagakure is most famous for its Puppeteers.

Those Puppeteers frequently research and use mechanisms and poisons to make their Ninjutsu more effective.

Therefore, their mastery of toxins... should not be underestimated.

It's not that Sunagakure's poison is the strongest, but rather that they are the most adept at using toxins.

"However... this kind of poison isn't a major problem."

The Amegakure Ninja's eyes turned cold.

While his body still had some sensation, he immediately distanced himself from Yuji again.

He intended to stall for time.

They were dedicated soldiers personally trained by Hanzou. They had a certain resistance to all but the most potent toxins.

"Stop doing meaningless things... You are already dead."

Unexpectedly, his actions only drew the young man's indifferent gaze, who calmly uttered that sentence.

Immediately afterward, Yuji, not wanting to prolong the fight, quickly leaped away with his comrade.

"Arrogant brat!"

The Amegakure Ninja gritted his teeth.

But soon, he felt a sudden dizziness.

A feeling of weakness and exhaustion swept over his entire body.

It wasn't poison!

The Amegakure Ninja looked down and realized that the cut on his leg, which the young man had just inflicted, appeared shallow but had caused massive blood loss in a short period—so fast that he hadn't even noticed the rate of bleeding.

Thud!

"I actually lost to a wet-behind-the-ears Genin?"

A thought flashed through the Amegakure Ninja's mind, and then he collapsed, losing consciousness.

Whoosh.

Yuji carried his comrade, leaping repeatedly across the stone wall, finally stopping on a high platform on a cliff face.

From here, he could overlook the entire battlefield, and the distance was sufficient.

He glanced at his comrade; his face was blasted, one eye was clearly unsavable, and he was missing limbs.

"I'm sorry... Yuji... I've caused you trouble. Don't worry about me. You're a Medical Ninja, you should leave first and transmit the intelligence." The young man's one eye moved as he weakly watched Yuji calmly and quickly treat his injuries.

"It's alright... The enemy isn't numerous, and Senior Endo has temporarily tied them down." Yuji smiled faintly.

But the corner of his eye had already caught sight of the situation on the battlefield below.

The situation was dire.

There were still three Amegakure Ninja attacking their squad.

But practically only Endo was left.

The other Genin and the wounded Chunin had already died instantly.

From the moment they were ambushed until now, barely five minutes had passed, which was incredibly fast.

Small-scale skirmishes between Ninja aren't as drawn out as large-scale battles; life and death occur in brief moments.

Logically, as a Medical Ninja, he should strictly adhere to the rules and prioritize his own safety.

But the current situation was unique, and the others couldn't prioritize protecting him anymore.

"You rest for a bit."

After giving the injured comrade a simple treatment, Yuji planned to return to the battlefield.

To help Endo, who was struggling to hold on.

Although this group appeared to be Hanzou's elite, based on the intensity of his recent fight with that Amegakure Ninja, Yuji believed... that if he teamed up with Endo, they had a chance to win.

Even though he was only a Genin.

With this thought, Yuji quickly turned back toward the battlefield.

"Hm?"

Realizing that there was still one Sunagakure brat alive.

The expressions of the three Amegakure Ninja on the field slightly changed.

"Did that bastard Aoki die?"

"To actually fail to deal with a single Genin, what trash!"

The Amegakure Ninja cursed.

"Run!"

And when Endo saw Yuji recklessly coming to help him, he shouted.

"I observed for a while; the data is sufficient."

Yuji paid no attention to Endo's shout.

As he charged toward the three Amegakure Ninja, there was no fear in his expression. His eyes darted around, finally locking onto one enemy.

As a transmigrator, Yuji was very familiar with this world, including various Ninjutsu, the fighting styles, and the abilities of different types of Ninja from major villages.

It could be said that he had a database in his mind.

Although it wasn't complete... or detailed, it was still his advantage.

But his trump card wasn't this; it was the knowledge and insights he gained using the system—the inheritance of Kuroo.

This gave him an extremely deep understanding of the human body's structure... He consciously trained this, honing his body since before he even entered the Ninja Academy.

First, he used his own body as a sample for refinement.

Because of his excellent medical skills, his grueling training allowed him to recover quickly after exhausting all his strength, enabling him to undergo secondary training.

To some extent, he was constantly maintaining extreme cultivation.

Furthermore, his advantage as a doctor was that he could observe the target's movements to determine the range of their physical mobility stats, judge the scope of their potential offensive and defensive capabilities... and even spot any hidden ailments or weaknesses in their body.

Using this, combined with a powerful physique surpassing his peers, and the data in his mind... Yuji combined these elements to create the offensive template currently best suited for him.

He called it 'Data Taijutsu'.

At his current stage, this fighting ability was at least sufficient.

Including the toxins he used, which he mixed himself.

However, just as Yuji prepared to fight the enemy and rushed forward.

Suddenly, several Puppets descended from the sky.

There was absolutely no warning... they appeared right next to the three Amegakure Ninja.

The Puppet on the left spat out a sharp spike, which, mid-flight, directly pierced the enemy's brain.

The Puppet on the right had a high-speed rotating blade in its hand, which sliced an Amegakure Ninja in half at the waist.

Both of these were Humanoid Puppets.

The last Puppet resembled a crawling lizard.

After approaching the target, all the panels on the Puppet's back opened, spraying out a massive amount of poisoned Senbon needles.

The enemy was instantly riddled with holes.

This scene brought Yuji's attack to an abrupt halt.

Their squad's desperate struggle ended just like that, in a flash.

In the distance, a figure landed.

A face equally youthful slowly emerged, accompanied by calm footsteps and the swaying Chakra threads in his hand.

It was Sasori.

"This is what can truly be called a monstrous genius."

Yuji put his scalpel back into his waist pouch, feeling no surprise.

Although these Amegakure Ninja weren't highly valued, and a Ninja's rank is just a nominal title that can't decisively measure combat power—they were essentially cannon fodder when viewed from the perspective of major Ninja villages and battlefields.

But at least for them, they were somewhat difficult to handle.

The age of eight seems very young... but in this world, many people are already showing their brilliance at this age.

And they are completely unstoppable.

In front of these geniuses... the efforts of many people throughout their entire lives are merely their starting point.

Sasori strolled over, collected the Puppets, and looked at Yuji from a distance.

"I thought... with you here, nothing would go wrong."

Sasori completely ignored Endo, looked at Yuji, and said indifferently.

"You think too highly of me."

Yuji sighed.

Sasori stared at him without speaking.

His gaze seemed intent on seeing right through Yuji.
