Lukas Ashford, just two weeks in high school, yet he can now say that it will not go well as others said it will.
Let's say that during these past two weeks, Lukas was able to have the nickname "attractive nerd". Which is good and bad in both ways. It's good as he was found attractive by the ladies. But bad in a way that he can't help but feel guilty for their feelings.
It was lunch time, the usual buzz around the hallways as students went around the school as they chatted. Lukas however found solitude to his seat, so as always, he went to the canteen to quickly buy food and to quickly go back to his classroom too.
When he arrived at his room, he saw a letter inside his bag. "Hmmm? What is this? Did someone mistakenly put this in my bag?" he mumbled.
Lukas glanced at his seatmate, Elliene.
She was a typical smart girl with long flowy ebony black hair and green eyes. She has the vibes of a dependable sister that she carries around.
"Someone put it in your bag while you were out at the canteen." Elliene automatically said it.
"Who put it?" Lukas ask
"Well I don't know, it's already in there when I get here" Elliene answers
"How are you sure someone put it, what if they mistakenly put it" Lukas said
"Can't you see how well put it is, and look here idiot you have your name on it, idiot." Elliene said angrily
"Alright, my bad—my bad" Lukas said while smiling.
Lukas kept the letter, slipping it to his bag, planning to read it after he got home.
As the day ended and Lukas finally arrived home.
"Finally, home at last."
He suddenly remembered the letter he got earlier.
"Hmmm… let's see what kind of letter this is." Lukas hoped it wasn't a threat, blackmail, or anything bad.
"Oh, this is long." He said as he saw a complete five paragraph long letter.
He then started reading it, then realized.
"It's a love letter?!?!?"
Lukas thought it couldn't be real.
He didn't think much about his appearance or attitude, so he was surprised.
Yes he knows about the "attractive nerd", but he thought that girls would prefer a more athletic guy and hoped that the sudden attention would then go off.
"Ohh… I need to thank this person, but they didn't put their name on it." Lukas thought it was too early to enter a relationship. He decided he would just thank the sender, with no intention of accepting their feelings.
After a while, Lukas then starts to forget about the letter. Until he saw someone confessing to one of his friends. Then he remembers the letter with an unknown writer. It was just two weeks before summer break, and Lukas had decided that he shall end the girl's feelings before it can ruin next school year.
"Hey, Lukas!" Elienne shouted.
"Hmmm? Oh, hey, Sister!"
Lukas had started calling Eliene his sister because he felt that she was more mature for her age. She is also older than him, even though they were in the same class.
"Sister, do you have anything in mind for the vacation? I'll probably just rot in my bed reading manhwa or go to an internet café," Lukas said sadly.
"Nahhh, me too, bro. I'll just rot in bed while reading manhwa," Elliene replied.
"Uh, Elliene, do you perhaps remember who put the letter in my bag months ago?"
Elliene looked shocked, as if she had forgotten to tell him something. As this was already a few months ago.
"Oh yeah, I know who it is," Elliene said.
"Wooo, why didn't you tell me early?" Lukas asked.
"Well, I kinda forgot," Elliene said teasingly.
"Who is it? Who is it?" Lukas asked eagerly.
"Why are you so eager to know who it is?" Elliene said.
"Is it your first time receiving a letter?"
Elliene added with a grin.
She wasn't really convinced that this was his first, by the way that girls swoon for him. But she just claimed that he was too oblivious to even notice. After all, girls like a boy with a good face.
"Well—"
"Well, I was so popular during my elementary days. All the boys were in love with my hidden beauty,"
Elliene interrupted, showing off and grinning before Lukas could even respond.
"Well, please keep your 'beauty' hidden then," Lukas thought to himself.
"What's with that face, idiot?" Elliene asked.
"Uh, nothing??"
"Oh, yeah, I figured out who it is. The letter… it's—"
