Chapter 18 - Finally! The End!

Not long after, Moonlight met up with Cloud with a different perspective of him in his ears. He now thought of him in a different light.

"How did you know that?"

Cloud turned. "Looks like someone is different, what changed? Hehe…"

Cloud joked. Moonlight drew closer, not looking at the area again.

"But still…" Cloud said, spreading his hand. "Look at what you've done. You've just made me think once again how Adna's are terrifying."

Then Moonlight turned. He gripped the bag on his hand and faced down. "You're still alive, huh?"

"What's this? Acting smooth and soft, huuuuh…? Bad for you, there's no time for that."

"It seems this may be our final fight. Damn my English has sure gotten good. I sure speak terrifyingly fluently."

Moonlight stared at him.

"Wait wait."Cloud flared his hands randomly. He coughs twice and readjusts his tone. "The battle is near. Let's go Moonlight. Our journey seems to be ending after this."

Moonlight stared.

"L-lets go."

Cloud said as he headed to the light, dramatically raising and falling both hands frantically.

'The way he walks, so special…'

Moonlight followed.

The rowl was already twitching inside rapidly. Moonlight gave it a chop and it went quiet. 'Phew…you sure are feisty.'

'Is night not coming? Just how much time has passed?'

The sun's red glow grew dim as they approached the light. A light that could prove to blind the sun and the closer they got, the more they realized that could be true.

'Matter of fact, how big is this place? Did we have all this at our back and I had no idea? Cloud must know, but…he was surprised when we were brought here.'

Moonlight stole a glance at Cloud.

'Oh, maybe he knew but was shocked that I was joining. That must be it. That must be it.' Moonlight clasped his fists and nodded in approval.

Meanwhile Cloud was whistling silently, turning his eyes to Moonlight at certain times.

They finally reached the end of the bare land and were about to enter the all green again.

"Hekkkkkkk…."

"This feeling again,"

"Yeh… this calm-uneasing feeling; and an atmosphere that throws unnecessary things at you while still captivating you in their beautiful scenery." Moonlight added.

Cloud looked at him amazed. "Wow, we sure are amazing."

As they crossed the border, simultaneously all land filled up with trees. The duo turned.

"It's here." They said in unison.

Both turned and their eyes met with a giant tree resting at the light. The tree had no leaves, just a log formed out of thousands of twisted vines.

'Interesting…'

Immediately, a flower sprouted from the top, painted in a deep crimson glow that was switching over to nature's color in no time. The flower shed its sides and with each layer came with an increasing amount of energy.

"Damn. That is dangerous." Cloud muttered.

Moonlight glanced at him. 'What's he talking about?'

!

"Whoa!"

The leaking energy engulfed the entire forest in a second and radiated a deep green light that even covered the literal sun. This changed the entire landscape, literally.

Then the tree began to absorb the light.

"We need to stop this." Cloud uttered and turned his eyes to Moonlight.

Moonlight replied. "Don't you want to see what will happen next?"

"Nahhh…I can sense trouble. Don't you—

He paused. "Oh, you're…"

"I'm doing it myself."

Right now, they were still leaping aimlessly on the air. All trees had been erased the moment that first part shed and there was literally no land below. What remained were only space and a tree that could give birth to chaos if left unchecked.

"If you won't help I will take care of it myself."

With that, Cloud sped ahead.

There was no blockage, so he moved peacefully and swiftly.

Instantly, he was already at the top of the flower.

"Sorry! For the test and for my safety, you need to go!"

"Growing beast!" screaming loudly Cloud said.

He punched it with an unprecedented force and in an instant, the world turned to white.
