Dylan returned to his seat on the couch. Glancing at her, he asked calmly, "Is there anything else you are curious about?"
Adelyn looked at him.
Of course, there were many things she was confused about. But could she really ask him directly?
She couldn't.
Not when she could clearly see that she might be the one in the greater wrong.
"Mr. Warren," she began slowly, "you said that whatever happened between us last night was by mutual agreement?"
Dylan nodded. "It was."
"Then … would you believe me if I say that I don't remember a thing from last night? Like why I brought you to my room and why —"
"You didn't bring me here," he cut in smoothly.
She blinked, and the paused before hope flickered in her eyes for a moment.
