Bam!
Ryan shut his locker with his uniform inside. He was now putting on his training gear for combat training class.
The gear given to them was quite straightforward, a black stripped blue shirt and trouser that barely only went past his knees with a black combat shoe.
On his hands were a pair of black gloves with holes on them that allowed his fingers to poke out fully.
And attached to his waist, was his katana sheathed neatly in its sheath.
"Huu." He took a deep breath as he looked around. Almost everyone else was still changing into their combat gear and he was one of the only people done changing.
Then, he walked towards the door to the changing room and just as he was about to place his hand on the doorknob to open it...
Clak!
Someone else did, from the outside.
It was Aaron. He was facing down, looking at something on his phone before he raised his head and then both their gazes met.
There was a bit of tension as both parties narrowed their eyes at each other, the hostility quite clear then...
Ryan walked past him as their shoulders bumped against each other as Ryan walked out and Aaron in.
[
"Shut it." Ryan said, his face partly flushed from the embarrassment of GAIA pointing it out.
**********
[Training ground...]
A man who looked to be in his mid-thirties, sat calmly in an lotus position in an open field.
He wore the same colored combat equipment as the students. He had long red hair that was tied in a ponytail.
He had tiny scars all over his face, and given the level in which humanity's medical technology had come, it was clear he chose to leave the scars on his face.
And most importantly, he had a stump where his left hand should've been. And yet, despite being one-handed, he still gave off an intimidating aura.
Shhhrr!
Just then, the door leading to the courtyard opened as a student stepped inside. A young lass he remembered all too well.
'Ryan Von Ainsworth.' He thought. 'Interesting. Despite what happened yesterday, he still had it in him to come today huh. Didn't peg him to be the resilient type.' He added inwardly.
Ryan on the other hand, sat on the ground as he stared at the instructor for combat training, who sat just in front calmly.
[
G.A.I.A called out.
'What?'
[
G.A.I.A answered, it's voice sounding almost nervous as it added...
[
'You think so too huh?' Ryan answered, though it felt more like a question.
[
'Leo Biden. Our combat instructor.' Ryan answered.
[]
G.A.I.A's words were interrupted as Ryan completed it, '...lowly for his strength? Yeah.'
[
'I don't know. But I do know one thing.'
[
'He's the enemy.' Ryan answered, his eyes narrowed as he stared at Leo who was still calmly seated on the grass.
"Is there a problem Mister Ainsworth? Your stare is quite distracting." Leo spoke, his voice a lot lighter than both G.A.I.A and Ryan expected.
"N-No sir!" Ryan exclaimed as he saluted on his feet.
"It's okay. I get stared at all the time. Most people adore me, I get it." Leo spoke, somehow a bit of pride dripped in his voice as he spoke highly of himself.
"At ease soldier." Leo released him.
"Thank you sir!" Ryan acknowledged before sitting back down.
[
'Because...'
Shhhrr!!
The sliding door opened again and more students poured in from both Classes A and B.
'...He's an agent of CLAW. By default, a traitor to the human race. And he's going to be responsible for the near destruction of the academy, and district one as a whole.'
