He handed the luggage to Kaien.

"And also our mother. She's not young anymore—be careful on the road. Don't let her fall or get hurt."
"Don't worry, brother Naruto." Kaien took the luggage and patted his chest confidently.
"I'll take good care of Sister-in-law and Mother."
He wasn't lying. No one knew Hinata and Kushina better than him.
"Alright. Hearing that puts me at ease." Naruto nodded, then added, "I won't be seeing you off later. Be careful on the road."
After saying that, Naruto turned and left.
Hinata gently closed the door, then suddenly hugged Kaien.
"Why haven't you contacted me these past few days?" She looked up at him with a pout.
"I've been busy. I just finished everything today." Kaien gently rubbed her head.
"Hmph, liar." Hinata pouted unhappily, then lowered her head and rubbed against his chest.
"Kaien, have you forgotten about your sister-in-law since you started dating Shion?"
"I swear," Kaien raised three fingers seriously, "these past few days, aside from a call from Shion last night about today's trip, I haven't chatted with her at all."
He wasn't lying. These past few days, he had been completely immersed in his world with Kushina.
"I believe you." Hinata lifted her head slightly, pouted her lips, and leaned in.

"Then why didn't you tell me?" Kaien asked.
"I wanted to see how brave you were," Hinata pouted resentfully.
"But you didn't even dare call me."
"Hehe, I was afraid of affecting you, Sister-in-law." Kaien grinned playfully.
"Smooth talker!" Hinata poked his forehead.
At that moment, Kushina's voice came from the living room.
"Kaien, is your sister-in-law here? Why are you still standing outside?"
"Oh, it's nothing," Kaien shouted back. "I'm helping Sister-in-law carry things."
He gently pushed Hinata inside.
"Sister-in-law!" Shion greeted Hinata enthusiastically.
"Shion, Mother." Hinata greeted them politely.
"Come sit down," Shion pulled Hinata over. "We'll leave once the car arrives."
They had rented a car for the trip—not because they needed it, but so they could relax and enjoy the scenery.
Shion, Hinata, and Kushina chatted happily. Three women together were lively and nonstop, completely leaving Kaien aside.
Kaien could only sit quietly nearby, listening.
It seems this trip will be the perfect chance to settle everything, he thought.
Ding ling ling!
Shion's phone rang.
She answered briefly, then hung up and smiled.
"The car's here. Let's go."
