"Cheon's running final diagnostics. Noel's making calls. Aurora's trying to sleep." Her arms wrapped around my neck. "That leaves you and me with approximately three hours before anyone needs anything from either of us."
"And you want to spend those three hours doing what?"
"Being selfish." She kissed my jaw. My neck. The spot below my ear that made my brain short-circuit. "Tomorrow I'm driving into danger for people I've never met because a boy I'm inexplicably attached to has a hero complex. Tonight I want something just for me."
"Mera..."
"Don't argue. Don't negotiate. Don't try to be noble." Her mouth found mine. "Just give me this."
I gave her this.
We made it to the bedroom eventually. Clothes discarded in a trail that Cheon would definitely comment on later.
