Chapter 3: Blame Other People for Even One Time

When the boy arrived at the temple, no one welcomed him.

People stopped talking when they saw him.

Their eyes were filled with disgust.

Whispers spread like poison.

The saintess had brought a child… and a dead body.

When the Pope heard this, he flew into rage. He shouted at the saintess, accusing her of bringing something filthy into a holy place, something unworthy of the temple.

But then he saw the boy.

And everything changed.

The Pope felt it instantly — a soul so pure that wasting it would be a sin. Leaving such a child to rot in the world would be unforgivable.

So he kept him.

But mercy did not come in the form of kindness.

The boy was thrown into hell-like training.

Pain became routine.

Insults became daily language.

Suffering became normal.

The boy endured it all.

He had suffered his entire life already.

This was nothing new.

Then one day, something unexpected happened.

A boy of the same age came to the temple.

His name was Asura.

And the hero's name was Indra.

The moment Indra saw Asura, and Asura saw Indra, something strange happened.

Asura smiled and said,

"From today onwards, you're my best friend."

From that day, they trained together.

They fought side by side.

They stood together against pain and punishment.

When Asura learned about Indra's life, he said only one thing:

"I won't ask about your past.

But remember this — if anyone dares to fight my friend, they'll have to cross the blade of Asura."

The world had no idea…

That this small promise would one day throw an entire empire into chaos.

One day, Asura was sent to a random place — a vision.

When he returned, Indra was gone.

He asked his father.

His father avoided the question.

He asked others.

No one answered clearly.

Then suddenly, Asura felt it.

A pain in his chest.

The feeling of losing someone irreplaceable.

He followed that feeling.

It led him to one place.

The Demon King's palace.

Far away from the palace, Asura saw a body lying on the ground.

A boy.

Stabbed countless times.

Limbs destroyed.

Barely alive.

Asura froze.

It was Indra.

Asura rushed to him.

"What happened to you?"

"Who did this to you?"

Indra smiled.

Still smiling.

"That was Tony," he said calmly.

"He betrayed me during the Demon King subjugation mission."

There was no anger in Indra's eyes.

Only sadness.

Not from pain —

but from betrayal.

Even in that condition, Indra didn't cry.

When Asura saw his injuries, his heart stopped.

Tears fell from Asura's eyes.

"I'll kill him," Asura said.

"I'll kill Tony for this."

Indra shook his head.

"Don't harm Tony," he said softly.

"He's still our friend… just a greedy friend who betrays his partners."

"Please don't hurt him for my sake."

Even after being betrayed.

Even after suffering like this.

Indra still didn't want revenge.

Asura clenched his fists.

"Fine," he said.

"I won't take revenge in your name."

Then his voice changed.

"I'll take revenge in my name, Indra."

"From today onwards, I'll show what I'm truly capable of."

"Everyone thinks I'm weak. I held back my power only for you, my friend."

"They think I'm worthless."

"I'll show them who I am."

Indra never realized the truth.

The people who betrayed him had just declared war on chaos itself.

They didn't know they had created something worse than death.

Madness and chaos, combined into a human —

Asura.

Asura looked at Indra and said,

"I will show the world what a true friend can do."
