The scene begins with someone asking Mikey in narration,"Why didn't you leave him there… if everything had already ended?"
In the present, Mikey sits in his chair, staring at the ceiling, lost in his own world. After a pause, he replies in narration:
"Maybe… I just wanted to spend a little more time with them."
Four days after the last incident — February 25.
Inside a random, half-ruined building, a man dressed like a detective moves cautiously through the dust-filled hallway. He speaks into his walkie-talkie.
A voice crackles from the other end."Did you find it?"
"I'm at the designated location where that thing is supposed to be hidden," the agent replies.
"Keep searching. He must've hidden it here… or somewhere nearby."
"Roger." The agent cuts the call and mutters to himself, "Why would he even hide it in a place like this?"
He runs his hand along the cracked walls as he walks."I can't believe I came here alone… Let's just find it and get out. This building looks like it could collapse any second. I need to finish this fast."
The scene shifts to Angel — same day. She's inside her library, talking to her friend on the landline. As she speaks, one of her fingers lazily curls a strand of her hair.
"Where am I even supposed to go? I can't get free from work and home."
Her friend responds, "We're going this time. No excuses."
"I want to… but the other warden took leave, so I'm covering the entire library."
"What do you mean you're there all day?"
"Yeah, it's actually kind of fun. And I'm getting double salary this month. We can go next month."
"But only you'll be free next month."
"Then what am I supposed to do?"
"Ask your boyfriend. Maybe he can help."
Angel pauses. "What would I even ask him…? I'll tell you my plan later, okay?"
Her friend starts to say something, but Angel cuts the call midway.
She sighs tiredly and rests her head on the desk."I hate this job… I'm so bored."
Just then, her phone lights up. Max is calling.
She doesn't pick up.
Without even lifting her head, she mutters, "What does he want now…?"
The phone keeps ringing. She ignores it and starts swinging her legs aggressively under the desk.
In her mind, she wonders, What would it be like if they were here with me?
"I wish…"
Back to the ruined building.
The agent now walks through a dark basement corridor, holding a gun in one hand and a flashlight in the other. The lights above are broken. Shadows stretch endlessly ahead.
"Now this is just great… the basement was the only thing left," he mutters.
He keeps talking to himself to calm his nerves — thinking about what he'll take home tonight, how his kids wanted ice cream, trying to remember his anniversary date.
Anything to distract himself from the fear.
He reaches the final room. Just as he steps forward, he feels a thin string brush against his leg.
His instincts scream.
Before he can react —
A gunshot fires from the front entrance.
"Damn it," he whispers.
Scene shift — Max.
"She's not picking up again," he sighs, putting his phone down. "I just wanted to tell her she can take leave. I've already talked to the owner."
Meanwhile, inside the library, a young man walks toward the counter with a book in his hand.
"Miss, can I take this one?"
Without lifting her head, Angel replies lazily, "Sure. Take it for free. It's not even mine."
Then she freezes.
She recognizes the voice.
Slowly lifting her head, she stares at him.
"Stalker??"
Mikey raises a finger. "Shh… we're in a library."
Angel covers her mouth in shock. "What? You read books too?"
"Yeah, actually. I prepare for competitive exams. That's why I keep visiting libraries."
"What's your academic background?"
"Accountancy."
"Forget issuing the book. Take an unreserved seat. I'll catch up with you later."
Mikey hesitates. "I still have to cook at home… and do laundry."
"Don't worry. Today's on me."
After some convincing, she makes him stay. Angel immediately calls the café from the landline and orders two cups of coffee.
As Mikey walks toward the table, a faint smirk appears on his face.
"Bingo."
Back to the ruined building. The agent is breathing heavily. Terrified. Silent. From the walkie-talkie:
"Agent, what happened? Respond!"
Cut to the agency headquarters.
Through the static, the agent's voice finally comes through:
"I'm with the hostage. He's safe… just unconscious."
"That's good. But why do you sound scared?"
The agent whispers:
"...The mascot has returned."
Silence.
"What are you saying?"
"The mascot has returned!"
"That's impossible! He was killed!"
"It's too late to catch him now. He's probably already blended into society…"
As he says this, the scene cuts to Mikey sitting calmly at a table in the library, sipping coffee while reading a book.
"Inform the higher-ups," the agent shouts. "Tell everyone — he's back. And this time… he's here for something different."
The camera reveals the wall in front of the agent.
Splattered with blood.
And written across it:
The Hunter Is Out Now.
