After some days we were getting close to Tripuri and decided to rest at the place.
For a suprise this place was a flat land like a battlefield and no trees were their so we had our gaurd on.
It was not long time and we suddenly heard sound of horses and marches of soldiers and we saw the the chedi forces covering us like from all directions. Some came from sides and some came from back but only less came from forward.
We were covered but had a large distance between, our all forces were terrified because no one was ready to fight. King Vellak, Prince Mahendr, me, Raghuvir we were all shocked.
My heart was pounding so fast as if it was about to come out I did not even wore a armour, non of us had. The first thing I did was quickly wearing my armour all of them started to do that.
Then suddenly a man wearing armour like kings came in front and it obvious that he was the King of Chedi, eldest son of King Kokall, King Shankargan.
That daam infidel he played us by the news of devastation and siege. Then he blew the sea shell means indication of attack and that's how the force attacked us and we were forced to move. Luckily I and many like me were successful in wearing full armours but many were only able to wear half armours and some like the one on elephants were not even able to wear half.
The clash finnally happened they had cavalry in front and infantry on back which dealt us damage and the covering formation had already put us on backfoot and the only thing we can do was surviving and aiming towards Shankargan who was in back formation with archers.
The chedi forces were dragging us back many of our forces being killed so was I resisting the force and it was my second war experience and luckily forces were ordered to slay or capture King Vallek and Prince Mahendr they were main targets but even after this I was devastated because of this sudden attack.
Half hour passed and we were losing the war after this everyone lost hopes but then I saw that Shankargan in excitement of war came was marching towards us with his sword.
I saw the opportunity grabed a spear in nearby and attacked towards him.
I with a spear and he with a sword were marching. I was tired and devastated, put all remaining strength in my spear I screamed and the moment came everything became slow I attacked with it and piriced his heart but the attack of his sword had cut me.
I was covering my wound but Shankargan was dead the soldiers who saw it screamed about it and it spread. Soldiers began to run.
The war or should I say this ambush was over so was Chedi and Shankargan took the kingdom for his greed.
