Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 Warehouse Horror

"Wow, it's a whole box of ham, it's still so thick, now it's developed."

Just when Jack turned around and wanted to leave, Boss Hu walked in with Ruienli. Boss Hu found that there seemed to be no danger inside, and rushed towards a cardboard box. But when he was lifting the ham sausage in the box and laughing, Ruienli who was following him let out a scream of terror. Boss Hu shrank his neck in fright and immediately fell to the ground.

"Ah…"

A very sticky rope-like object suddenly appeared out of nowhere and tightly strangled Ruianli's slender neck. Ruianli only had time to scream half way before her whole body was quickly hoisted into the air. She was like a Thomas. The cute baby's face turned purple in an instant, and she could only make a "gurgling" sound from her throat. Her two well-proportioned thighs kicked in panic in mid-air, and she also threw off one of the white Nike sneakers on her feet, revealing her little feet wearing white socks.

"Mom..."

Mr. Hu, who was lying on the ground, turned around in panic. He was immediately frightened by the sight in front of him. Because he looked up, he saw the monster hanging upside down on the high roof at a glance. He saw that the monster was like a mutilated corpse that had been stripped of its skin, and its whole body was naked and bright red. Although it is not very big and is about the same size as an ordinary human being, the thick claws on its limbs are as big as a human head, and each giant claw has three dagger-sharp claw tips. Boss Hu has no doubt that the claws can just catch his big head and crush it into a rotten tomato.

What was most deadly was that the monster's mouth actually spewed out a scarlet meat rope over ten meters long, which tightly wrapped around Ryanli's neck, quickly sending her towards the monster's tooth-filled maw.

"Catch Ryan Li…"

As Ryan Li was about to be bitten on the head by the monster, and Boss Hu was panicking on the ground, trying to retreat, Jack immediately stepped forward and shouted loudly, while pulling the trigger in his hand. Just as the foul-smelling mouth was about to touch Ryan Li's head, the bullet Jack fired accurately hit the flesh rope that the monster spat out.

"Ah…"

As the flesh rope loosened, Ryan Li began to fall, screaming immediately. However, in that brief moment, Boss Hu didn't react in time to catch her, or rather, even if he had reacted, he had no intention of catching her. He was too busy rolling and crawling to escape through the main door, completely ignoring Ryan Li.

Fortunately, Ryan Li was lucky. As Jack's bullet hit the monster, the monster's head jerked in pain, coincidentally throwing Ryan Li out. She fell heavily onto the vacant shelf on the highest floor, making a loud crash, but after a long time, there was no further sound, and she did not come down.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

Jack, who quickly switched to a row of special bullets, pulled the trigger again. This time, he pulled it continuously, not daring to cherish the bullets at all. Three blazing bullets, with a hint of eerie black light, shot out from the gun's muzzle, whistling as they struck the monster on the roof.

"Aww…"

Two bullets hit the monster's left shoulder and chest, while one bullet grazed its neck and missed. The monster let out a painful roar, and the areas hit by the bullets immediately showed signs of black corrosion. However, despite this, its two hind claws remained tightly gripping the roof, like a bat hanging upside down, showing no intention of coming down.

After the monster stopped roaring, its two red eyeballs, the size of baby fists, fixed their gaze on Jack, filled with resentment and intense killing intent. Then the monster leaped, agile as a monkey, and clung to the top of the shelf. In a few quick movements, it pounced on Jack like a cheetah.

"Quick, go save Ryan Li, run outside! I'll hold it off! Hurry…"

Jack was also very agile. After quickly shouting to Bai Ru, he faced the flesh-colored monster that was lunging at him. He rolled to the side, creating some distance. Before he could steady himself, he unhesitatingly fired two bullets from his gun, accurately hitting the monster, causing it to tilt backward in mid-air and crash onto the shelf with a loud bang, shaking the entire row of shelves violently.

The flesh-colored monster had already been hit by four bullets, most of its flesh-red body corroded into deep black, accompanied by a strong stench. However, Jack knew that despite the monster appearing severely injured, these wounds were nothing, as it was a creature more advanced and powerful than the hellish beings, a "Hunter" that surpassed the hellish scissor-handed knife-wielders.

"The Hunter" appeared to have an unprotected muscular body, but in reality, it was several times tougher than the scales on the Hell Cutter's knife hand. A closer look would reveal that the special bullet from Jack had not penetrated its body at all; it was merely stuck in the surface of the muscle. Fortunately, it was not invulnerable like the knife gun; it also had a weakness, which was its fragile eyes, just like the knife hand.

Unlike Boss Hu, who ran away, Bai Ru had already climbed up to the second level of the shelves while Jack was knocking the Hunter away. Climbing without a ladder was quite difficult for her, but she had no other choice. Ryan Li had likely been knocked unconscious on the shelf, and she couldn't leave her comrade behind. If she could abandon others to save herself today, perhaps tomorrow others would do the same to her.

Steadying her trembling arm, which was too tight from holding Thomas, Bai Ru glanced at Jack and saw that the monster, which had been knocked down several times by bullets, had sprung back to life and was lunging at Jack. Its mouth shot out that disgusting red tendril, which wrapped around Jack's waist. Bai Ru grabbed the third-level shelf with one hand and couldn't help but gasp.

However, Jack didn't let her worry too much. Although he had emptied the gun and hadn't had time to reload, he pulled out a dark combat dagger from his waist and easily cut through the tendril that was entangling him. He then raised his hand and viciously thrust the dagger into the monster's right eye socket.

The Hunter let out a miserable howl while covering its eye. Although its eyeball had been exploded by the dagger, the force of the dagger was not as fierce as a bullet, so it only caused injury but was far from fatal.

As the Hunter howled in pain while covering its right eye, Jack made a quick decision and swiftly replaced the magazine in his gun. The clear bullets from Marcus were shot out by Jack in the blink of an eye, hitting several bolts on the second-level shelf. The shelf lost the support of the bolts and immediately tilted, causing dozens of various cardboard and wooden boxes placed on it to slide down and bury the Hunter beneath them.

"Quick, throw Ryan Li down!"

Jack rushed to the shelf where Bai Ru was, understanding that those boxes could only temporarily block the Hunter and wouldn't hold it for long. Every second was crucial; he had to save the two women before the Hunter got back up. Otherwise, today, apart from himself, Bai Ru and Ryan Li would likely perish under the Hunter's claws.

Bai Ru climbed to the highest shelf with all her might and immediately spotted the unconscious Ryan Li. She struggled to pick Ryan Li up and, looking at Jack, who was about ten meters away, Bai Ru hesitated for a moment, gritted her teeth, and threw Ryan Li off the shelf.

Falling from a height of over ten meters, even if it was just a small woman weighing around eighty pounds, the immense inertia was significant. However, Jack's body seemed somewhat extraordinary; he bent his arms slightly and managed to catch Ryan Li's petite body steadily. The great inertia brought by Ryan Li only caused his legs to bend slightly, and nothing else happened.

Jack quickly placed Ryan Li on the ground and stretched out his arms, shouting to Bai Ru, "Hurry up, jump down!"

White Ru looked at the dizzying height, and despite several attempts to muster her courage, she couldn't jump down. When Jack urged her once again, White Ru leaned over the edge of the shelf, her face pale, and shouted, "I... I can't do it!"

"You..."

"Splash..."

The cardboard boxes that buried the Hunter suddenly flew open, and a claw wrapped in red muscle reached out from inside. Then came a violent stirring, and more boxes flew away. Soon, most of the Hunter's shoulder was exposed, and it seemed that with a few more movements, it would be completely free.

"I'll give you three seconds. If you don't come down, you'll stay up there forever!" Jack glared angrily at White Ru at the top of the shelf and shouted loudly, "One... Two... Three..."

"Ah…"

Seeing that Jack really seemed to be leaving, White Ru could no longer care about anything else. She closed her eyes and shouted as she rolled off the shelf. Yes, she rolled down because she was too scared to jump!

"Hurry up..."

Jack stepped forward and caught White Ru as she fell into his hands. Without even looking at her pale face, he placed her on the ground, drew out his gun with one hand, and grabbed Ryan Li with the other, quickly retreating. But at that moment, the Hunter had completely freed itself from the pile of boxes, roaring as it pulled out the dagger embedded in its eye socket, completely enraged, charging at Jack and the others like a furious red-eyed calf...
