Chapter 10 - Making superhumans

(Alex Pov)

Alex taps his foot on the ground using echolocation to map out the building then using his spatial perception to build upon that building map while thinking.

' Project chaos the idea to create a primordial being through genetic modification and virology that would be the foundation for a new race of superhumans Spencer's pet project most would say.'

'But in my opinion, the likelihood that it was Spencer's Ideas is low after all , when brian talked to Alexander Ashford he heard him say that.'

"He and his father were forced into the project one day , when Oswald arrived at the Ashford estate looking rather manic with a giant pale woman who wore an ivory white dress, with a wide brimmed black hat and how she tore through the facility they were in ."

'To in his own words force them to work on this project as they needed Alexander Ashford's genetic discovery/cloning technology for the extensive genetic modifications they wanted done and the reason why his father Was "enlisted" as well It was to help speed along the research of the progenitor virus.'

Alex then notices something his body was getting larger getting pushed along to its genetic template's peak and so he checks something.

The mental strings that represent his mind, body and soul he then notices that the thin body string representing his body was rapidly getting larger to match the other strings.

'I expected something like this to happen after all , what i'm using might have been an offshoot of the hercules method at first but The technique changed as other concepts were implemented in In to it through rigorous experimentation in the mental world.'

'It eventually turned into the [ The Anatomy of Self-Supremacy] through continuous experimentation as I wanted to find out a way to emulate all of the abilities I currently can use through self supremacy but I haven't succeed in it yet as I can't , replicate , the conceptual bullshit I can use but I did succeed In mostly mapping out the body and parts of the mind and soul such as how to unify them Into a whole and how to initiate the soul's ability to repair itself.'

'It makes the mind body and soul an almost completely enclosed system that constantly improves itself and because the technique utilizes each person's unique cognition as it's basis the technique itself is adaptive In a literal sense fuck It took me five hundred years to figure out how to make the foundation of the technique itself adaptive so I didn't have to worry about the problem of talent , just effort and what the people I taught , were willing to go through.'

' So I know I will be able to teach the people of this world it is well as I was pretty exact when I made the mental world and most of the information I used for both the physical information , like the genetics, body, physical structures and physics was all from this world only with more added to it like magic, mental energy, soul energy and bio energy.'

'The spiritual information was mainly gained from this world as well with me using the information I comprehended, after going through my memories of the abyss as a skeleton of an afterlife because souls are simple really and after two thousand years , my mental world started generating them on pure accident and everything inside of it started becoming more alive.'

'It was during this, I noticed a problem after all , I was checking the entire planet using the megamycete network spreading through it but this world doesn't have an afterlife but it does have a very inefficient reincarnation system.'

'That causes most energy in the soul to be lost in the process that helped me further build upon the skeleton of an afterlife I built because of the soul's after all I experienced oblivion once and it's only something I would wish upon people I truly hate or want dead.'

'It's a good thing that because of all of this I managed to create a good, efficient afterlife and reincarnation system where the soul's energy is not lost at all leading to the accidental creation of super beings that ascended racial shackles because the soul fundamentally needs a body that can handle it so the soul pushes against genetic limits and breaks them so the body can handle the it and grow further alongside the soul.'

'Honestly , it's funny that I died close to twenty times because of that.'

'As whatever creature that broke its racial shackles that didn't die gave rise to entirely new species which led to massive ecological changes.'

'And that was with them at the same time , being extremely personally powerful and intelligent.'

Alex tabs his chin as he chuckles a little, remembering the exception to that rule.

'That honey Badger was absolutely fucking insane especially when it got to the size of a small house and then it had decided that it was the apex predictor attacking everything around it.'

'Which ultimately led to its death as every other ascended creature did not like getting attacked they also couldn't kill it one on one.

Which led to them teaming up as they noticed that the badger lacked any sort of reasoning Ability and higher intelligence.'

'So they trapped and surrounded it in the end leading to its death. It's a good thing that it died while it was young as i'm sure it would have grown to be the size of a large building and caused more damage to them. It sucks that it died so early though it would have been a good fight.'

'But I really do find it funny that it managed to annoy all of them enough that they decided to put aside all their differences In order to kill it.'

'But most of the other creatures were intelligent enough to realize that they lived long compared to their own kind and that they only continued to grow stronger had decided to build their own little beast kingdoms.'

'It reminds me all too much of my earth and this one how humans fought each other over the littlest thing but when they have a common enemy they banded together except that doesn't even happen as they'll still fight each other just in minute ways instead of openly doing so.'

'So do you know what I'm going to be a great person and give them all a singular unified goal even if they don't want it because sometimes to drag somebody into the future , you have to do it while they're kicking and screaming.'

Alex chuckles a little more as he stops tapping, the ground having mapped out the entirety of the base he was in and how it was under a mountain and how from what he could tell there were hundreds of tubes similar to what he was in below him that had sighs of life.

'Oh, this can help me.'

Alex's grin gets wider as he stops his body's growth at three meters making sure his soul now focuses on nourishing and reinforcing his body instead of growing any further.

'Now then let's make sure none of them die and fix the genetic flaws I can sense in their body's.'

Alex then flares his electromagnetic field, extending it to make sure he covers all Two hundred and thirty four Tubes. Activating his DNA vision he narrows down all genetic flaws and then utilizing his electromagnetic field he commences genetic editing , eliminating all their genetic flaws and then further optimizing and improving on their existing genetic modifications.

Alex then looks over his work with satisfaction.

' Good now , all of them should naturally be able to match a spartan || In strength agility and reflexes at the bare minimum and you know what, let's give them a little immortality.'

Alex then applies further modifications Making sure they have rapid regeneration , similar to the custodes well also making them have ageless Immortality as well.

'Good, they're going to be very helpful later.I also made sure I did not cripple their emotional capacity because emotionless beings wouldn't be as much help as I need And also, they just don't grow as much personally i just had to think of the Adeptus Custodes as an example of that.'

Alex then focuses attention back on the room in front of him as hears Alexander Ashford talk over the phone with Spencer.

'Good now I wonder what they'll do next As Miranda's also going to be with them as her history lesson has concluded, she also accepted my deal which was part of the reason why I focused on one child in particular while doing the modifications as from what I can tell that was the only one that didn't naturally have a soul making it the perfect blank slate for Eva's mind.'

'It's all coming together.'
