Harajuku Station.
Yuji Itadori looked himself over.
"Eh? Is this the Jujutsu High uniform? It feels different from Megumi's!"
Megumi Fushiguro, standing nearby, explained coolly, "The uniform can be customized to personal preference."
"But I didn't request any changes."
Gojo Shion, sipping yogurt nearby, gave a mischievous chuckle. "I modified it on a whim. How is it? Fits well?"
"Uh… it's okay." Yuji rubbed his forehead, feeling this teacher was a bit unpredictable.
As expected, Satoru Gojo's older brother, Gojo Shion, looked far more stable and reliable.
Just then, a girl in uniform caught their attention.
She wore a navy blue outfit with a pleated skirt, black stockings, and brown loafers. Her short, light-orange hair was striking.
A scout in a suit looked around. "Hey! Miss, are you interested in becoming a star?"
"Sorry, I'm in a hurry."
"Eh? Just a few words…"
Pah!
Nobara Kugisaki appeared behind him and grabbed his shoulder roughly.
"Hey! What about me? Why aren't you asking me?"
"Ask you? Ask what?"
"About modeling! Can't you tell?"
The scout wiped sweat from his face and ran off. "Sor… sorry, I'm busy!"
Nobara Kugisaki's eyes twitched. "Hmph! No eye for talent."
"Hey, over here!"
Nobara looked toward the voice and saw three students in Jujutsu High uniforms walking over.
They began their introductions.
Nobara stood with hands on her hips. "Nobara Kugisaki. Be happy, boys, the only girl has arrived!"
Yuji raised his hand. "I'm Itadori Yuji, from Sendai!"
Megumi Fushiguro gave a short nod. "Megumi Fushiguro."
From Nobara's perspective:
Yuji Itadori looked like a total country bumpkin—probably ate his own boogers as a kid.
Megumi Fushiguro just gave his name. Nobara thought, This guy looks like the type who'd set fire to an oil-covered seagull.
She sighed. "Why do I always end up in these situations?"
"Hey, hey, hey! Why the sighs?"
"Alright, everyone's here, and two of you are from out of town. Let's go sightseeing in Tokyo!" Satoru Gojo suggested.
"Tokyo! Tokyo!" Yuji and Nobara's eyes sparkled.
Nobara: "Then let's go to Disneyland!"
Yuji: "Disneyland is in Chiba! We should go to Chinatown!"
"Please, Chinatown is in Yokohama!"
"Isn't Yokohama part of Tokyo?"
Satoru Gojo intervened. "I'll decide the place!"
Yuji and Nobara dropped to one knee. "We'll follow the teacher's lead!"
"Then… Roppongi!"
"Wooo Roppongi Roppongi~"
Half an hour later, they arrived at an abandoned building. A black aura, invisible to ordinary people, seeped from it.
"There's… a curse here, isn't there?"
Nobara exploded. "Dammit! You and your stupid blindfold! This is a scam, right?! Who brings us to exorcise a Cursed Spirit right after we get off the train?"
Yuji looked heartbroken. "Liar!"
Satoru Gojo, with a rogueish straight face, said, "This is also to test your abilities."
"Itadori, Kugisaki, I've chosen you two. Go and exorcise all Cursed Spirits in this building."
At Jujutsu High.
"Shion, why do you seem so idle lately?" Suguru Geto asked, watching Gojo Shion lie back in a chair, eating roasted chestnuts.
Gojo Shion paused. "Is there something I should be busy with?"
"You're a teacher, so of course teaching students!" Suguru continued. "I've been training Nanako and the others. Satoru teaches Megumi, Yuji, and a newcomer, Nobara. Shoko trains Manami, participating in a Cursed Spirit-related medical experiment. Even Yuta Okkotsu takes Riko and Todo Aoi out to exorcise Cursed Spirits; they're already Grade 1 Sorcerers. Meanwhile, you're the idlest one in Jujutsu High."
Gojo Shion stood, thinking seriously. "Let's see… my students are Okkotsu, Maki, Panda, and Inumaki. Maki has Toji teaching her. Okkotsu is Special Grade and can handle things alone. Panda is a Cursed Corpse—only Principal Yaga understands that. Inumaki is a Cursed Speech User; I gave him all family texts to study independently."
"Yep! I can continue to nap in peace!" Gojo Shion lay back down.
Suguru Geto's mouth twitched. He waved his hand, and a huge black vortex appeared behind him.
Feeling the Cursed Energy fluctuations, Gojo Shion opened his eyes. "Hmm? This is… Hollow Technique: Zenith?"
Suguru nodded. "Yes, the ultimate secret of Cursed Spirit Manipulation: Domain of the Extreme—Vortex. I can merge all my tamed Cursed Spirits, condensing ultra-dense Cursed Energy into a single attack."
"Isn't that just a Cursed Energy beam fight? Nothing special."
"It can clash with your Red head-on!"
"Still no big deal!"
"You don't understand Hollow Technique: Zenith!"
"Neither you nor Satoru do!"
Gojo Shion's expression darkened as he put Suguru in a headlock. "Getting cocky, brat?"
Suguru struggled, shouting, "Only I can!"
"Show me then!"
Suguru raised his hand, drawing countless Cursed Spirits into the Domain of the Extreme: Vortex. The black vortex deepened, compressing energy into a form even Gojo Shion found shocking. If unleashed, half of Jujutsu High could be leveled.
"Stop, stop, stop!" Gojo Shion hurriedly called.
Suguru waved his hand; the vortex vanished. He brushed off his clothes, calm but radiating pride, showmanship, and nonchalance.
Gojo Shion gave a faint smile. "Merging Cursed Spirits to extract Cursed Energy is simple… ever thought about extracting a single Quasi-Grade One or higher Cursed Spirit?"
"Hmm?" Suguru didn't understand.
When he tried it as suggested, he was stunned.
"[Grade 1 Cursed Spirit: Hibiki Yaksha, controls lightning]"
After extracting Hibiki Yaksha, Suguru realized he had mastered the Lightning Control Technique.
He experimented with others, concluding that Domain of the Extreme: Vortex could extract the Cursed Techniques of Quasi-Grade One or higher Cursed Spirits.
The drawback? The abilities no longer had growth potential. Even with this, the power was incredible—an unlimited number of Cursed Techniques, no upper limit to Suguru's strength.
Suguru was terrified of his own power. "Satoru, how… how did you guess?"
He couldn't believe Gojo Shion had inferred it so precisely.
Gojo Shion smiled disdainfully. "Just an inference using Cursed Spirit Manipulation. The moment you used Hollow Technique: Zenith, I analyzed your ability."
"The Six Eyes… can actually do that?" Suguru stared, astonished. "He understands Cursed Spirit Manipulation better than I do!"
