Chapter 6— Night jurisdiction

Elsa adjusted her posture slightly, the blue glow of the Sacred Waters outlining her silhouette.
You should know who stands before you, she said calmly. I am Elsa of the Night Cycle, First Ring, of the Swords Hall. Echo blinked. That… explains nothing.
A faint smile touched her lips.It shouldn't. You were never meant to know until you joined us. She folded her hands over the crystal table.
In this realm, we are divided into two origins — the Halves and the Originals. As if have given a brief explanation,let me elaborate. Echo leaned forward slightly.
The Halves are those who came down here… but belong here. They descend from higher structure — whether by exile, trial, or choice. Their cores are shaped elsewhere before they awaken here.
She held his gaze.You are a Half.Echo didn't respond.And the Originals? he asked.
"We are born here. Raised here. Our cores awaken within this realm's laws. We do not descend. We grow.
A pause.But growth,she continued,requires order.
The Swords Hall is one of the primary Halls of this realm. There are others — the Aegis Hall, the Veil Hall, the Meridian Hall — but the Swords Hall governs combat doctrine and frequency discipline.
Echo raised an eyebrow. Combat doctrine?
"Yes. Power without doctrine creates another Hector. Damn ,That answer was sharp,echo tought.
We have the structure , which comprises of Halls, Rings, Ranks, and Cycles.
Elsa traced a faint circle on the table's surface, and a soft blue diagram shimmered into view.
One we have the halls.Each Hall governs a path of development. For Example...the Swords Hall which is for Combat, resonance control, core stability under pressure. The
Aegis Hall is for Defensive constructs, barriers, structural frequency mastery. The
Veil Hall .....Perception, concealment, dimensional awareness. And the Meridian Hall is for Core healing, growth optimization, resonance repair.
You are currently under the jurisdiction of the Swords Hall,she said. Whether you like it or yes.
Second the Rings .Each Hall is divided into Rings. There are the Seven Rings.The Ring represents influence and authority — not raw frequency. The First Ring influence Field operatives. Direct combatants. The Second Ring influence Tactical leaders. The Third Ring are Instructors and frequency
examiners.
The Fourth Ring is Regional guardians. The Fifth Ring are for the Strategic command. The Sixth Ring influenced area is Hall adjudicators. And the
Seventh Ring .....the Hall Sovereigns.
I belong to the First Ring, Elsa said calmly. Which means I act in the field. Is it why we have to kill as many beast on our way here,said echo. Elsa nodded. Where i found you is the lowest layer with the weakest beast. Echo studied her differently now.
Lets continue with the third ...The Ranks Within each ring there are Ranks.
Rank is separate from frequency, Elsa continued. A Verdan can outrank an Aethric, if discipline and mastery allows it.
There are Seven Ranks within each Ring,they are the Initiate, Disciple, Adept, Vanguard , Warden, Luminary and Paragon.
Rank measures refinement, control, and contribution, she said. Not merely strength. She added.
Echo narrowed his eyes. And you?
"Warden.",she replied . That explained her composure a lot.
The last and the fourth. We have the cycles.
Echo tilted his head. And the Cycles? Elsa's expression shifted slightly. Each Ring operates in three Cycles — Morning, Afternoon, and Night.
They do not refer to time of day. Rather they refer to operational philosophy. The morning cycle they operate as Expansion,Exploration Advancement and Offensive breakthroughs
These are your innovators. Your pioneers. They push boundaries.Hector would have belonged here.
The Afternoon Cycle operates on Stabilization,Enforcement , Territory management and Political balance.These maintain what Morning builds.They are the administrators.
And the last the night cycle, they operates on
Suppression,Internal threats,Collapse containment,Frequency anomalies .Elsa's eyes held his.We deal with what should not exist.
Echo felt something tighten in his chest.
You deal with… people like me?
"Yes." But her voice wasn't hostile.
It was the Night Cycle that detected the fluctuation during your suppression.
The Sacred Waters pulsed faintly.
When you contracted your core under Aethric pressure," she continued softly, "you did something the spectrum does not account for. Echo swallowed.
So are you saying that the night doesn't operate only within but outside of it? Echo asked. Elsa ignored his question
And finished with..And that , is why you are not dead. She leaned back slightly. The Halls maintain order. The Rings enforce it. The Ranks refine it. The Cycles specialize it.
A pause. And you, Echo… are currently an anomaly under Night jurisdiction. Silence settled between them.
The basin beyond shimmered once — deeper than blue.
