In 2045, something unexpected happened that we could not detect until it was too late: a distant stellar explosion caused a cosmic radiation wave. We humans survived, but our others failed, resulting in something else we did not anticipate… which we call the ARRADA (Arrada).
Current time: 2085
Rin, with her black hair tightly tied, moves her finger over a transparent screen.
"Team approved."
An image of two men appears.
"Category S. Veyron, highest neural stability rating over five years."
She pauses for a moment.
"He will be assigned to SS-01."
A scientist suddenly stands up.
-"SS-01?? Isn't it too early to release him? He still poses a risk! He is unstable!"
"Identity confirmed."
The sound of doors opening, a narrow corridor with white walls appears.
Veyron moves toward the lab, walking slowly.
He does not review the Arrada file.
He knows it.
The Arrada does not think like a leader,
but it responds.
It moves.
It reproduces.
It learns.
And now it has a den.
That's why… they needed deformed heirs.
Veyron advances and the door opens in front of him. He sees the scientists running in the lab. The lab is massive, filled with advanced devices, plant screens, and experiments.
Veyron watches the lab… then he approaches the place where it should be, and he sees…
A young man with his hands bound by a device, sitting on the ground with a calm expression on his face. Veyron notices the first thing about the man sitting in front of him…
His features are beautiful yet terrifying, something inhuman in his appearance. Muscular body, very pale skin, some strands of very light blonde hair shining. Eyes with a calm expression, large, human-sized with vertical slit pupils, and below each eye two small eyes with round pupils, eye color pale purple, long eyelashes, a cheek mole, large hands with claw-like nails… He stares at him and smiles… an empty smile.
"Mentor?"
The man says while staring slowly, then his upper and lower fangs appear very large and pronounced.
Veyron, nervously - "SS-01?"
Veyron stares at SS-01.
Veyron thinks to himself - "I did not expect SS-01 to look like this… I thought it would be non-human because it is an unstable experiment… and the incident yesterday…"
The deformed heirs are creatures carrying the same rare mutations as the Arrada but were created to serve humans as tools against the Arrada.
SS-01 is an experiment to create deformed heirs with rare mutations and to add a new power classification, SS, more advanced and dangerous at the start of SS-01's creation.
Through developing the cages and creating new mutations, the first SS-01 experiment succeeded, but when attempts to create others began, they ended in total loss without any results. After a while, SS-01 began showing instability, and incidents occurred. Then the experiment was closed, and SS-01 was kept.
SS-01 was staring at Veyron, its smile growing.
SS-01 - "What's your name?"
Veyron shivers at SS-01's smile and feels his glasses watching him slowly.
Veyron looks at SS-01 nervously, uncomfortable.
He thinks to himself - "What's with this big smile? Does he think it's a friendly smile?"
"Veyron."
Veyron says, ignoring the gaze tracking him from his feet to his head…
SS-01 watches Veyron, a man with black hair and blue eyes, calm features, white skin, muscular tall body, a scar on his cheek.
SS-01's gaze shifts away from Veyron to a distant place in the lab. Veyron notices and follows SS-01's gaze after a few minutes.
Guards approach them.
Veyron thinks to himself - "Wait, did this creature notice the guards' arrival?"
SS-01 then stands beside Veyron.
Veyron is surprised by SS-01's height.
Veyron thinks to himself - "His height… definitely over 190cm."
They are taken to a large room. The room is dark, with large screens on the walls showing maps
and images of places outside the colony.
Veyron looks serious, while SS-01 shows curiosity. They stare at the room.
Rin appears before them, upright, confident, serious expression. A large table separates them, displaying screens with the map and mission objectives toward creatures and plants being observed.
Rin - "Tomorrow, for three days, guidance training will begin before the mission… Two dens were observed in the north and west of the Clodus area. The dens must be destroyed, and the decorative metal and sea crystals collected… Mission estimated duration: one week."
Veyron - "Clodus…"
SS-01 - "Clodus?"
Rin presses on the screen, showing images of the Arrada creatures.
Rin - "The two most dangerous creatures observed, causing difficulties, are Arrada E-123 in the west…"
The image of E-123 appears on the large screen, revealing its body: very thin yet huge, walking on four legs, blue thin skin, long face, short tail, very large eyes, protruding sharp jaw, no visible ears.
Rin - "Arrada A-123 has very strong night vision and speed but is also deaf."
Rin - "The other Arrada is SP-13."
Veyron looks nervous.
SS-01 speaks, face surprised:
SS-01 - "SP-?"
Veyron interrupts.
Veyron - "Classification SP? You will send a mission, and there are undefined and new creatures? With an unstable deformed heir in a place barely discovered?"
Rin - "How do you expect the human colony to survive and resist the Arrada without resources? Do you think finding a den is like pressing a button?"
Veyron goes silent for a moment, tension rising as he stares at the creatures' images.
Veyron - "But this is a dangerous mission, and no suitable deformed heir… this will lead to—"
Rin slams the table, interrupting his speech, beginning her own words with annoyance on his face:
Rin - "Do you think we don't know? Why were you chosen while ranked S? Not to play with children, but because you are suitable for dangerous missions. Remember Veyron S from RC-177 was trained to help humanity… serve your duty."
Rin takes a deep breath and steps back.
Rin - "Begin the neural link between mentor and deformed heir in a few minutes."

Veyron enters the room quietly… takes a deep breath, eyes closed.
He slowly opens the room: white, nothing inside, scientists behind walls watching and recording every detail, everything happening…
Veyron - "Let's just say it's not the first time I guide."
He thinks to himself.
SS-01 moves in front of Veyron, still hands fixed in a device.
Rin approaches from the hidden wall, watching, then slightly steps aside and speaks via internal communication device.
Rin - "Begin."
SS-01 smiles, slowly extends his hand forward.
Veyron watches every move, takes a deep breath, extends his hand, and shakes SS-01's.
SS-01 begins transferring his quantum genes to Veyron through the handshake.
Veyron feels warmth and rustling; it's not his first time… Veyron relaxes his defenses… Rin watches quietly, then her sash in front of him lights up red… Rin's expression turns worried…
Veyron stares at the handshake, then lifts his gaze toward SS-01 when suddenly he feels a burning sensation in his hand; his skin begins peeling, hand trembling, sensation spreads throughout his body.
Veyron screams in pain, sweating - "Control your genes!!"
SS-01 stares at Veyron with no emotion.
SS-01 - "So you humans really cannot handle a medium quantum amount. Is this what you show?"
Rin speaks angrily, worried:
Rin - "SS-01, stop the quantum gene release, or you will be shocked!"
Veyron attempts to push SS-01's hand away…
His vision begins to blur, he becomes disoriented, and hearing fades…
SS-01 laughs mockingly, large eyes staring at Veyron.
Every movement, every breath, every glance of Veyron — transmitted through the quantum neural link.
SS-01 - "I can hear your heart beating; it's making a loud sound!!"
Rin stares at the scientists seriously.
Rin - "Shock!"
SS-01 is shocked.
The physical contact transfers shock to Veyron.
The room begins shaking with SS-01's laughter and Veyron's screams.
Veyron slowly approaches, trying to touch SS-01's body…
He grabs SS-01's face with his hand…
SS-01 - "Do you like my face?"
SS-01 is suddenly hit with a very strong punch from Veyron.
SS-01 is stunned and lets go of Veyron.
Veyron falls to the ground.
Doors open, guards with weapons and doctors enter; Veyron is taken away…
SS-01 holds his cheek, shocked, it is the first time a human has hit him…
A scientist stares at Rin…
Scientist - "Rin… are you sure SS-01 should go on missions with mentor Veyron S-177?"
Rin's face shows a smile as she stares at the scene, eyes wide open.
Rin - "Are you kidding me? Finally, someone can withstand SS-01's quantum genes!.. It's another step to control him!"
Rin's smile grows, her gaze calm…
"And the weapon becomes invincible…"
