Forks.
Cullen house.
Jasper had just arrived with Ella on his back.
They entered the house in a hurry.
"Carlisle!"
Jasper said in a raised tone.
It wasn't long before most of the Cullens arrived.
"What happened Jasper?" Carlisle asked worriedly as he looked at their disheveled figures.
Ella dropped down from Jasper's back.
"We were attacked."
The Cullens looked at each other in unison.
"Attacked!?" They all asked.
Carlisle stepped forward and examined them closer.
"What or who attacked you?"
"It was the vampire I felt previously today."
"It seems we sneaked up on him, it was unintentional, with his strength I have no idea how…"
Carlisle looked thoughtful.
"How did he look?"
Jasper seemed to think how to answer.
"He had red eyes, dirt blonde hair, and a scar that ran from the left side of his face from his hairline to his eyebrows… and he looked to be in his late twenties."
Carlisle was lost in thought. He seemed to remember someone with this description… but something was missing.
All the Cullens looked at him.
Esme, unable to bear the wait, asked.
"Carlisle… do you know who he is?"
Carlisle shook his head.
"It feels familiar… but I can't put my finger on it, it's most likely no one I've met."
Then he turned to look at Jasper and Ella.
"Did he say anything?"
Jasper frowned
"Not really, we said we wanted to talk to him but he wasn't interested, it even seemed like he was avoiding us."
"Now that I think about it… he might not have been hostile to begin with, he just wanted to chase us away."
Carlisle nodded. It doesn't say much.
Emmett then chuckled and said.
"Did you two really get your ass beat by one person?"
Jasper looked at him in displeasure.
"He wasn't normal, It was like no vampire I've ever met, it was like he was a different breed."
"Yeah, it was like he was on a chemical boost… stronger, faster… and even then it felt like he held back." Ella chimed in.
Although Emmett joked with Jasper… he knew how strong he was, plus there was Ella there… and she wasn't weak either.
Of course he would never admit Jasper was strong… even stronger than him, in a fight.
"Its just excuses from two sore losers."
Jasper and Ella ignored him.
Whilst Rosalie pinched his side.
Emmett put on a hurt expression. Ouch~
Alice, who was standing on the side, looked worried. She had seen no vision about this vampire.
If this vampire is allowed to run amok, what if…
Alice couldn't help but think about Silas…
"Alice! Are you okay?"
Rosalie asked.
"Yeah… I'm just worried, this vampire is so strong, what if he decides to cause trouble?"
Rosalie frowned. She didn't like uncertainties, especially when they threatened her family.
Carlisle then drew everyone's attention.
"This just strengthens what I said earlier. We need to be careful, move in pairs when you hunt, the school should be relatively safe, he wouldn't expose himself there."
"If he exposed himself in front of that many people the volturi would not let him go."
The Cullens all nodded.
What Carlisle said makes sense… just one minor miscalculation, Viktor doesn't really care about the volturi, as long as there is enough reason, he won't hesitate to enter the school in a full scale attack.
Of course, that was before… now he needs to take Silas's opinions into consideration.
…
Forks.
Immortal Mansion.
"Master, I've prepared your clothes for school tomorrow."
Silas nodded.
"Good, now clean the house."
Viktor lowered his head, this was his punishment for repeated screw ups.
"Yes master."
Silas looked up from his book to watch as Viktor walked around with a dust rocker.
Hmm? All that is missing is a maid costume and cat ears… is that a future punishment?
Silas thought about it… maybe, he will definitely screw up in the future considering his recent actions.
The night passed smoothly since no one in the house needed sleep. It was still quite lively.
Silas walked into his room and then looked at his bed. Upon it lay his clothes.
A pair of black jeans and a gray sweater with a loose neckline.
It was simple yet stylish. Perfect.
Silas put on his clothes and walked down stairs, he walked past the kitchen island and picked up his keys.
As he walked out Viktor was standing by the door.
"I'm here to see you off, master."
Silas nodded.
"Don't follow me today, alright."
Viktor nodded with some embarrassment.
"Yes."
Silas walked past him to his car.
Silas looked at the car as he drew closer, he really liked this car.
He opened the driver's door and slunk down into the leather seats, this time I know the road to the school so no need to embarrass myself by riding someone's bumper.
He got in his car and turned on the ignition, the car started with a nice purr.
He looked at the time on the dash… a little tight in time.
Viktor was standing inside, watching as the master drove away… he would not make the mistake of following him.
Sigh.
Driving down the road, Silas was relaxed, leaned back, one hand on the steering wheel.
Yes. He was speeding.
As he was lost in though he was rapidly closing in on the car in front. It was a silver Jeep.
Who is this road block? He passed with a zoom. He didn't forget to flash his headlight a few times before he passed, they needed to know the gas pedal is the one furthest on the right.
Inside the Jeep.
"So, how are you feeling?" Emmett asked.
Jasper looked over.
"I'm better."
Just as he answered a black sedan flashed their headlights and passed then disappeared into the distance.
"Who was that idiot!? Speeding so early in the morning." Emmett cursed. He was the one driving, it felt a little insulting to be overtaken in such a manner.
Jasper looked thoughtful.
"Isn't that the new kid's car? He drives a black BMW sedan… no?"
Emmett went quiet for a second, then smiled.
"So, it's my good brother? Then it's fine, it's understandable laying here at this speed wasting time isn't his thing."
Jasper rolled his eyes, he didn't understand, how did he get so snowed in on this good brother stuff? As long as Silas does it, it's reasonable?
Rosalie in the passenger seat was numb, only a slight sneer hung on her lips as she looked out the window. Silas this, Silas that…
She wasn't jealous, okay?
Emmett smiled.
"I'm a little excited for math today. Usually it's so boring, but now? Hehe, I will invite Silas to sit with us at lunch, he can take Edwards spot."
No one in the car even answered, they were numb. And the only one who would agree, Alice, she was riding in another car, with Ella.
…
Silas turned into the parking lot. Today he attracted less attention… it was still a lot.
He found a parking spot and reversed in with speed and skill.
Time for day 2.
CHAPTER END.
