Chapter 146 - Chapter 165: The Sanguine Audit and the Echo of Malachor

The transition from the high-stakes racing circuits of Kuat to the stagnant, blood-thickened jungles of the Kohlvis System was a localized sociological whiplash that Revan Shan met with a heavy black cloak, a mask of cold Phrik-alloy, and a very particular brand of 12th-Doctor-esque grim determination. As 38 BBY settled into the galactic ledger, the Maverick Master—biologically 108 years old but looking every bit the unlined twenty-three-year-old—decided that some accounts could only be settled in red.

Revan stood on the bridge of the Black Pearl as it hovered silently above the central temple of the Bando Gora. The jungle below was a rhythmic disaster of Dark Side resonance and localized despair.

"You see, HK," Revan murmured, his voice modulated into a low, metallic rasp through the Mask of Revan. "According to my 3rd Doctorate in Sentient Sociology, a cult is just a collection of people who have forgotten how to audit their own sanity. They've traded kindness for blood. It's statistically disgusting, remarkably untidy, and today, it ends."

HK-47 stood beside him, a masterpiece of homicidal engineering rebuilt in Beskar-Phrik alloy. He was a walking armory: dual modified Westar 35s on his hips, a high-output blaster rifle on his back, a bandolier of thermal detonators, and a double-bladed lightsaber magnetized to his spine.

"Statement: Master, my logic-centers are vibrating at a frequency of 98% 'Pure Joy'," HK whirred, his orange eyes glowing like dying stars. "Observation: 300 cultists and 200 assassin droids constitutes a statistically significant 'Target-Rich Environment'. Request: May I begin the 'Lethal Negotiations'?"

"HK," Revan said, pulling his hood low. "Rescue first. According to my heart, the 100 civilians still breathing in those vats are the only variables that matter. Send in the 35 Sith Training Droids. Tell them to ignore the cultists and focus on extraction. We'll handle the noise."

The Opening Gambit: The Starkiller Vector

The ramp of the Black Pearl hissed open 500 meters above the temple courtyard. Revan and HK-47 didn't wait for a landing. They plummeted through the humid air, two rhythmic streaks of black and orange.

Revan hit the ground in the center of a 300-man cultist formation. He didn't ignite a blade. He didn't say a word. He reached into the very marrow of the planet's Force-signature, trusting the flow more than the math.

> The Repulse Magnitude Equation (F_{r}):

> By his internal audit, Revan unleashed a Force Repulse that defied standard Jedi physics. It was a localized tectonic event, a white-blue shockwave that mirrored the legendary raw power of Starkiller. The courtyard floor shattered into dust, and a hundred cultists were vaulted backward into the stone walls like discarded data-packets. The air screamed with the sudden displacement of pressure.

>

"Statement: Master, that was remarkably showy," HK-47 chirped as he landed, his Westars already spitting Kyber-boosted blue fire. "My turn."

The Carnage of the 96%: Thinning the Herd

While the Sith Training Droids—moving with the rhythmic precision of ancient masters—began slicing civilians free from their vats and ferrying them toward the Black Pearl, the courtyard became a masterpiece of "Final Audits."

HK-47 was a whirlwind of rhythmic death. He used his dual Westars to short out the shields of the incoming assassin droids, then transitioned into a Form VII Juyo blur with his double-bladed lightsaber, carving through the Gora cultists with a clinical, metallic efficiency.

Revan moved through the center of the storm. He didn't use equations anymore. He used the Feeling. He was a ghost in the static.

* Dual Westar Audit: Revan fired his upgraded Westars into the heads of the assassin droids, the Kyber-Cortosis rounds shorting out their logic-cores on impact.

* The Blade-Dance: He ignited the Natural Red and the Balanced Purple, weaving a tapestry of Form VI Niman and Jar'Kai. He caught blaster bolts with Tutaminis, channeling the energy into his sabers to increase their cutting frequency.

"Try to be nice, HK!" Revan shouted over the sound of exploding droids, backflipping over a vibro-axe. "But don't fail to be final!"

The Final Audit: Revan vs. Komari Vosa

As the 300 cultists dwindled to a handful of broken survivors, the temple doors burst inward. Komari Vosa emerged, her pale skin glowing with the oily sheen of the Dark Side, her dual curved sabers hummed with a sickly, rhythmic madness.

"The Maverick," she spat, her eyes yellow and wild. "You come to audit my temple? You come to lecture me on the Light? Dooku couldn't save me, and you're just a ghost in a mask!"

"According to my 12th Doctorate, Komari," Revan's voice was weary, sharp with the 12th Doctor's gravity, "you are a variable that has suffered a total systemic collapse. You were a Jedi. You were kind. Now, you're just a localized tumor. Put the blades down. Let's find a way to balance your books before the ink dries in blood."

Vosa screamed—a sound of pure rhythmic agony—and lunged.

The duel was a collision of eras. Vosa used a frantic, dark-side-fueled Form II Makashi, trying to find a gap in Revan's defense. Revan met her with Form III Soresu, his blades spinning so fast they created a solid wall of light.

> The Attrition Variable (\Lambda_{a}):

>

Vosa unleashed a torrent of Force Lightning that lit up the jungle for miles. Revan didn't flinch. He caught the lightning on the Balanced Purple, the blade absorbing the chaotic energy, before he snapped his hand forward and redirected the bolt into an incoming group of assassin droids.

The floor beneath them cracked under the rhythmic pressure of their Force-signatures. Revan moved with a trust in the Force that surpassed any Jedi he had ever seen. He saw the "Unkindness" in Vosa's movements, the hesitation in her hate.

"Last chance, Komari," Revan said, parrying a strike aimed at his neck. "Try to be nice. Be the Jedi Dooku was too cold to help you be."

"I am the Gora!" she shrieked.

Revan sighed. "Right then. Shush."

He reached into his sleeve and pulled his Silver-Phrik Sonic Screwdriver. As Vosa lunged for a final, overhead strike, Revan clicked the button. The Kyber-Cyan emitter trilled a high-frequency override signal.

Trill-vwoop-shhh.

Vosa's lightsabers sputtered and died, their magnetic stabilizers shorted out by the Sonic's localized frequency pulse. Stunned, she stumbled forward. Revan utilized a Force-enhanced backflip, soaring over her head, and delivered a precise, rhythmic blow to her neck with his gauntlet.

Vosa collapsed. The "Shadow" was unconscious, but alive.

Aftermath: Ferries and Documentation

The Black Pearl descended as the last of the assassin droids were reduced to scrap by HK-47. Minutes later, three heavily armed freighters bearing the insignia of Maz Kanata breached the clouds—support Revan had called in using his 15.8 Billion Credit leverage.

"Maz's people will ferry the survivors to the Mon Cala safe-zones," Revan noted, deactivating his blades. "Miner, begin the intake. Ensure every civilian gets a localized 'Kindness Grant' to restart their lives."

He stood over the fallen Komari Vosa, looking down at the broken apprentice.

"Statement: Master, I have documented a 100% success rate in 'Meatbag Liquidiation' for the cultists," HK whirred, wiping droid-oil off his Westar. "Request: Shall I perform the final audit on the female Jedi? It would be statistically tidier."

"No, HK. She's a variable for a later ledger," Revan replied, his voice dropping into the 11th Doctor's softness. "She goes to a private safe house. Prison and rehab. Maybe one day, the books will balance for her."

Revan spent the final hours of the year recording every detail of the mission onto a secure Kyber-Quantum data-chip. He documented the Governor's corruption, the Banking Clan's funding of the cult, and the failure of the Republic to protect its own.

"For Yoda and Yaddle," Revan whispered as he sealed the chip. "So they know why the Maverick wears a mask."

The Sovereign's Nap: End of 38 BBY

The year concluded with Revan slumped in his Sovereign's Command Chair as the Black Pearl jumped into hyperspace. Calculus was purring loudly on his lap, and Theorem was asleep on the navigation console.

"Status, Cortana," Revan whispered.

"The Bando Gora has been 100% dismantled in this sector. Komari Vosa is secured. The 100 survivors are safe," Cortana reported. "The Maverick Trust is sitting at 16.1 Billion Credits. And Master... on Naboo, Sheev Palpatine has just been elected as the sector's primary Senatorial representative. He is 44 years old. The shadow has entered the Senate."

"The Senate," Revan yawned, the chair reclining to the Calculated Nap Angle. "Adventure is the journey, D6. And 38 BBY was a masterpiece of Starkiller pulses and saving lost souls. Try to be nice, 37 BBY. I have a feeling I'm going to need a much bigger screwdriver for the politics."

He closed his eyes. The Maverick was 109, the ledger was balanced in blood and kindness, and the Auditor was dreaming of a galaxy that might actually learn how to be quiet.
