"Just pour and leave."
Caspian dismissed the attendant with a wave.
"Yes, my prince."
Caspian poured himself a glass, downing the wine in one gulp.
He looked around the large dining hall at the invited dignitaries chatting away, oblivious to their bored host counting every passing minute.
Socialising was a critical part of a Prince's responsibilities but there was nothing he disliked more.
Well....except for him.
Caspian's eyes narrowed; they fell on a particularly boisterous guest from the kingdom of Virellion.

In any crowd, he was the loudest and unrefined yet he drew people in with his roguish charm.
His fingers pinched the stemware as he poured himself another glass of wine, feeling irritation crawl up his spine.
