Chapter 248 - Chapter 248: God Ego

After realizing that the communication request came from Tony Stark, Karl instructed Haohan to connect the call.

Moments later, a blue holographic projection appeared in the center of the living room.

Tony's image materialized within the projection.

Karl leaned back casually, still holding Yan in his arms.

"What's wrong, Tony?"

"Did something happen on Earth?"

Karl asked calmly.

At the same time, he absentmindedly played with Yan's golden hair, lifting a strand and smelling its faint fragrance.

Tony rolled his eyes immediately.

"Hey, Karl!"

"I thought you were still asleep."

Then he crossed his arms.

"Morgan's turning one year old in a few months."

"Are you coming back?"

"And remember to bring a gift."

"If you don't, I won't let you through the door."

Tony paused when he noticed Karl lazily hugging a blonde beauty while speaking to him.

His expression turned even more annoyed.

Karl frowned slightly.

"First birthday?"

Only then did he realize something.

He had been asleep for several months.

Karl shrugged.

"Alright, I'll come back."

"As for the gift—forget it."

He smirked slightly.

"Who knows if you'll secretly use Morgan's gift yourself?"

"I'll give it to her when she's older."

Karl leaned forward.

"And if you don't let me in…"

"I'll just tear your house down."

Tony stared at him speechlessly.

"You bastard…"

"I should have recorded your face just now."

"I'll show it to Morgan when she grows up."

Tony sighed.

"Alright, I'm hanging up."

"Just remember to come back."

The projection disappeared.

Karl shrugged indifferently.

Then he ordered Haohan to steer Skyblade VII toward the planet where the small white spacecraft had landed.

During the journey, Karl began working with Haohan to construct a large dimensional space.

Inside it, he planned to store captured stars as energy sources.

Karl needed the stellar radiation to continue evolving his Kryptonian physiology.

Meanwhile, Haohan required massive energy reserves to maintain its operations and execute Karl's commands.

Together, Karl and Haohan traveled across several star systems.

They continuously captured lifeless stars and stored them inside the dimensional space.

After traveling through the universe for about three days, they finally approached the star system where Ego's main planetary body was located.

By then, they had already collected nearly one thousand stars.

Karl had assigned one star and its energy transmitter to Big Wanda.

Others shared the remaining stars in groups.

Meanwhile, Karl himself was absorbing the energy of thousands of stars simultaneously.

His body continued evolving rapidly.

Various Kryptonian abilities awakened one after another.

At the same time, his mind underwent transformation.

Karl awakened a super brain, granting him extraordinary learning ability.

Anything he studied could now be mastered almost instantly.

The former mediocre student had suddenly become a super genius.

Meanwhile, Yan transferred the entire contents of her angelic database into Haohan.

The AI would gradually allow Karl to study the information step by step.

Karl also noticed something else.

Since reaching Single-Universe level, his creation ability had become significantly easier to use.

Soon afterward, Skyblade VII arrived within the galaxy where Ego's planetary body was located.

However, the warship remained in stealth mode.

Its presence remained completely hidden.

Karl narrowed his eyes while observing the massive living planet ahead.

Everything seemed calm for now.

Apparently Star-Lord had not yet reached the point of "killing his father."

In the next moment—

Karl appeared outside the warship.

Beside him were:

HelaYanBlack Phoenix

This time Karl did not bring Ganata.

After all, dealing with Ego did not require two Single-Universe-level beings.

Karl was wearing his Golden Cloth embedded with the six Infinity Stones.

Inside the planet, Ego immediately sensed their presence.

After all, it was impossible to ignore when a Single-Universe-level powerhouse suddenly appeared near the core of his consciousness.

After briefly greeting Star-Lord and the others, Ego hurried away to investigate.

Meanwhile, Star-Lord was still enjoying the happiness of finally finding his father.

Only Rocket and Gamora sensed something was wrong.

Even Groot, who had shrunk into a small sapling, seemed uneasy.

Only Drax appeared completely indifferent.

Rocket and Gamora tried to persuade Peter to remain cautious.

But Peter dismissed their concerns immediately.

Frustrated, Rocket and Gamora left the house and walked toward a nearby canyon to vent their complaints.

That decision led them to a horrifying discovery.

At the bottom of the canyon—

They saw skulls.

Thousands upon thousands of them.

Skulls of countless different alien species.

Both of them froze.

Cold sweat immediately covered their bodies.

They had been on this planet for several days.

Yet they had never seen a single living creature.

Now they understood why.

Rocket and Gamora immediately ran back toward the house.

They grabbed Star-Lord and dragged him toward the canyon.

When Peter saw the scene below—

His expression froze.

The canyon floor was completely covered with skulls.

Not thousands.

Not even tens of thousands.

The canyon was bottomless.

Yet the skulls had piled up to unimaginable heights.

Peter's first reaction was disbelief.

But the reality before his eyes was undeniable.

His heart sank.

He had finally found his biological father.

Only to discover this nightmare.

Whoosh—

Suddenly, countless blue energy tendrils erupted from the ground.

They wrapped around Star-Lord, attempting to capture him.

Rocket and Gamora immediately opened fire.

Their weapons destroyed several tendrils.

But the next moment—

Ego appeared before them.

Originally, Ego had intended to investigate the Single-Universe-level powerhouse who had appeared nearby.

But before he could leave—

Gamora and the others had discovered the remains of his failed offspring.

Those skulls belonged to the children he had created across the galaxy.

Children who lacked the power necessary to activate his planetary expansion plan.

Only Star-Lord possessed the divine power required to complete it.

Ego could not allow his plan to fail.

Therefore he attacked immediately.

He no longer cared about the powerful presence outside his planet.

After all—

He himself was a Celestial-class being.

In Ego's mind, no one in the universe would dare attack a member of the Celestial race.

Moreover, most Single-Universe-level beings had existed for countless cosmic eras.

They all understood the terrifying power of the Celestials.

Therefore, Ego ignored the mysterious presence in space.

He had only one goal.

To complete his plan.
