Chapter 30 - tell her that you are a gay

As the minutes ticked away, Big Brother was staring down the barrel of terminal lateness for his impending blind date. Not that he particularly cared—he had already firmly resolved to sabotage the entire affair.

Slinking back into the main hall, he huddled with Momo to review his dismal strategy. "I'm going to try my absolute best to get rejected this time," he muttered.

Aarshi, who had been blatantly eavesdropping, chimed in. "Oh, please. I'm positive she won't reject you!"

Big Brother instantly felt a wave of shame wash over him. Was he really that transparently hopeless?

"And how exactly do you know that, Madam Psychic?" Momo asked, crossing her arms.

"I know it very well," Aarshi declared with absolute certainty. "Even if she's not remotely interested in your personality, she's going to get instant dollar-signs in her eyes the second she learns about your background. Wealth is an aphrodisiac, Momo! If he wants to get dumped, he needs a foolproof plan and a rock-solid reason."

Big Brother sighed. "Alright, genius. Any ideas?"

Before Aarshi could unleash her grand strategy, Ayaan suddenly sniped into the conversation from behind like an accidental headshot in a video game.

"Tell her you're gay."

Silence. Absolute, suffocating silence. Aarshi, Momo, and Big Brother stood utterly speechless, processing the sheer audacity of the suggestion.

Ayaan, completely unfazed, began to break down his flawless logic. "Think about it. If she finds out her date is gay, she'll reject him instantly without throwing a massive, dramatic tantrum. Plus, she won't be able to tell her conservative parents the real reason, so she'll just make up some vague excuse. It's the perfect crime."

"I think it would be significantly better if I gave her a different reason," Big Brother replied dryly, rejecting the shortcut to the closet.

"Like... telling her you're already dating someone?" Aarshi suggested, her eyes lighting up. Momo nodded enthusiastically.

Aarshi smirked. "Oh, I still have a plan for that. It is going to be so incredibly dramatic that she will never, in a million years, suspect we are lying."

After hearing the sheer chaos of Aarshi's proposed theatrical masterpiece, the verdict was clear: Big Brother would definitely get rejected. Ayaan immediately scolded her for masterminding such a ridiculous plot, but despite his protests, the sheer desperation of the situation forced everyone to agree to her scheme.

Big Brother arrived at the high-end restaurant well ahead of schedule, sweating through his collar. The girl, maintaining her status as a high-society diva, arrived exactly five minutes late.

She was, admittedly, beautiful, radiating a fiercely bold and intimidating personality. She was practically dripping in luxury accessories, and her designer dress screamed "I am filthy rich" to anyone within a five-mile radius.

Meanwhile, hiding in plain sight at a nearby table, the espionage trio—Momo, Aarshi, and Ayaan—were trying desperately not to look like a group of obvious stalkers.

"Ohhh myyy goooddd," Aarshi whispered loudly, her eyes glued to the girl. "She's rich!"

Ayaan rolled his eyes. "So what?"

"Ayaan, she is carrying a limited-edition bag!" Aarshi hissed.

Ayaan let out a heavy sigh, completely losing his patience. "ENOUGH, AARSHIIII!" he screamed-whispered.

Startled, Aarshi immediately silenced herself, slamming her index finger over her lips. After a tense beat, Ayaan whispered anxiously, "What if she sees us?!"

Aarshi scoffed. "Please, that's physically impossible. I can't even see them clearly from over here without my glasses. How could she possibly recognize us from all the way across the room?"

"Not everyone has the weak, failing eyesight of a mole, Aarshi," Ayaan snapped back.

Before the bickering duo could blow their cover, Momo aggressively tapped both of them on the shoulder. "Both of you, shut up for literally one minute!"

Over at the date table, Big Brother smoothly handed the girl a massive bouquet of flowers that was undeniably stunning. The girl fixed her gaze entirely on his face, unblinkingly staring him down like a hawk analyzing its prey. Sensing the awkward tension, Big Brother offered her the menu to order food. She snatched it gladly, flipped past the entrees, and immediately ordered the most outrageously expensive, top-tier dishes available.

As they engaged in rigid, superficial small talk about their families and careers, the girl kept flashing a fake smile that looked about as natural as a wooden puppet.

Soon, the mountain of expensive food arrived. Aarshi practically stood up in her seat, peeking over at the dishes.

"She is a greedy glutton, for sure!" Aarshi whispered to her squad. "Look at that! She ordered the most expensive items on the entire menu. There is zero chance she finishes all of that."

Ayaan turned to Momo, completely done with the commentary. "Can we ask the waiter for some heavy-duty mouth tape to stop this non-stop chatterbox?"

Momo smirked. "Oh, I'll gladly ask him. But I'm ordering it for both of you."

Ayaan and Aarshi instantly shut their mouths, glaring at each other in silence.

Act III: The Transformation

While the girl was desperately digging for any excuse to keep Big Brother talking, Big Brother was displaying the charisma of a wet cardboard box. Yet, somehow, through sheer willpower, he managed to keep the conversation on life support.

Realizing it was almost showtime, Aarshi headed to the restroom with Momo. Today, Aarshi was wearing a stunningly cute short dress. Standing before the mirror, she took off her glasses, carefully applied a fresh coat of mascara to her lashes, and dabbed a soft lip tint onto her pout. It was a subtle, soft, yet breathtakingly cute makeup look.

The moment she stepped out of the restroom, Ayaan's eyes locked onto her. Time slowed down. He was completely mesmerized, his brain short-circuiting as he forgot how to blink. In that exact fraction of a second, Aarshi had officially become the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his entire life.

As she sat back down at the table, Momo immediately gushed over her. "Aarshi, you look absolutely fab today! Seriously, let's click some photos right now."

Aarshi, feeling the ego boost, nodded happily. Hoping to get a second opinion, Momo nudged Ayaan. "Look, Ayaan. She looks pretty, right?"

Ayaan, trying desperately to hide the massive, goofy smile spreading across his face, quickly took a frantic sip of his coffee and gave a stiff, casual nod. To celebrate the look, the girls snapped a barrage of photos together.

Back at the primary target's table, the formal, agonizingly quiet date was drawing to a close as the food dwindled.

Suddenly, the front doors of the restaurant burst open. It was Aarshi.

She marched in, radiating confidence, despite the minor logistical issue that she couldn't actually see a single person's face clearly without her glasses. Blindly but boldly, she roamed around the restaurant, deliberately making a scene to get noticed. Finally, she dramatically stormed up to Big Brother's reserved table.

The high-society girl paused, looking up at Aarshi with a deeply disgusted expression.

"OHHH! You are here too?!" Aarshi bellowed, her reaction so wildly over-the-top it belonged in a 90s soap opera.

The girl, utterly confused, pointed a manicured finger at herself. "Are you... talking to me?"

Aarshi aggressively shook her head, instead pointing a dramatic finger directly at Big Brother. She lunged forward, closing the distance, and asked in a high-pitched, cute pout, "Why are you here?!"

"I... had some work to do here," Big Brother stammered, playing along.

The rich girl looked between them, thoroughly annoyed. "Excuse me, how do you two know each other?"

Both Aarshi and Big Brother deliberately ignored her existence. On cue, Aarshi's eyes miraculously welled up with tears. "Why are you sitting here with this... this other girl?!" she sobbed cutely.

"We are on a date!" the girl interrupted, offended.

Right on schedule, the floodgates opened. Aarshi began shedding heavy, dramatic tears. Big Brother sat there in absolute, paralyzed shock, stunned by her elite acting skills. Over at the spy table, Ayaan and Momo's jaws hit the floor.

"She deserves a Nobel Prize for this performance," Ayaan whispered in sheer awe.

The rich girl, losing her patience, demanded, "What exactly is your relationship with him that warrants all these tears?!"

Aarshi sniffed, wiped her nose, and dropped the bomb: "We are dating!"

The girl, who was in the middle of taking a sip of coffee, instantly executed a flawless spit-take, spraying liquid in pure shock. She whipped her head toward Big Brother, who was currently staring at Aarshi, fully analyzing her theatrical genius.

"Is she lying?!" the girl demanded.

Big Brother, maintaining total silence, simply shook his head 'no'.

Before anyone could say another word, Aarshi grabbed a glass of water from the table, aggressively splashed it directly into Big Brother's face, and screamed, "You jerk! Don't you ever contact me again!" With that final, explosive piece of performance art, she turned on her heel and ran out of the restaurant.

The drenched Big Brother wiped the water from his eyes. The girl, utterly repulsed, stared at him. "Were you actually dating that child?"

Big Brother nodded solemnly. "Yeah... it was an online relationship. I was just having some fun."

"But... weren't you living abroad for the last two years?" she asked, her math not adding up.

Big Brother nodded smoothly. "Yeah, I met her three years ago. She's a teenager."

That was the final straw. Finding him absolutely disgusting, predatory, and chaotic, the rich girl stood up, threw down a hasty "Sorry!", and fled the restaurant as fast as her designer heels could carry her.

The mission was a resounding, glorious success. The rejection was absolute.

The moment the girl vanished through the exit, Momo came skipping and jumping over to the table, cheering happily. "Yehhyeehhh! You are officially rejected!"

Big Brother burst out laughing, soaking wet but thoroughly relieved. Aarshi slunk back into the restaurant, her face flushing a bright crimson as embarrassment finally caught up with her.

"I am so sorry, Aarshi," Momo laughed, patting her on the back. "But you played that drama so well! For a second, even I genuinely thought you guys were dating."

Big Brother chuckled, wiping his face with a napkin. "Please, I can't date my brother's girlfriend."

Momo erupted into a fresh fit of laughter at the joke. Aarshi froze, the delayed realization of what Big Brother had just said slowly registering in her brain.

Meanwhile, Ayaan sat in total, uncharacteristic silence—a giant, unbothered smile plastered across his face, thoroughly thrilled by the implication.
